Boyfriend met me after work and he brought me to 小老板. A takeaway only place selling Shanghainese food for very cheap.The menu is in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge as it's takeaway only. They apparently have another location in San Wan Ho and North Point. They make their own food and you can see people wrapping dumplings in the back.We got ourselves 3 gyoza ($10) and 3 pan fried bao ($10). The sad thing they were not hot as they were sitting in the pan for a while. I guess they wasn't enough turn over when we came. But it was ok. The skin was a bit thick but not too doughy. The pan fried bao could have been a bit more juicier but it was at least flavourful. Might try again and see if they would have freshly cooked ones next time.

小老板继续系港岛东区发展，筲箕湾都开左分店，好多街坊帮衬既亲切小店。见到圆形大锅岩岩煎起了几款食物就试一试。锅贴同生煎包系呢度既招牌，同埋系自己包，个底㶶㶶地好脆口，饀既猪肉好新鲜。而且价钱唔贵，10蚊有3只，试晒两只款都系20蚊。 红油抄手我都十分推，多蒜又够辣。皮薄馅多够大只，25蚊有8粒真系好抵。酸辣汤既料好充足料有猪血、鸡肉丝、木耳丝等，口感丰富，够厚够浓，好有醋味。钟意食酸野既朋友真系岩晒!

My family has been recommending this little Shanghai style 'fast food shop' thousand times, passing by with my empty stomach, I decided to give it ago!🤭 This cute shop served loads of delicacies, apart from shanghai dimsum, noodle, soup, they also provided Hong Kony Style street food 🤔 I picked one of their special deal which costed HKD40 covering a bowl of wonton/ dumplings noodle, 3 pan-seared dumplings/ pan-fried pork buns and 1 cup of soy milk. Incredible cheap! Noodle unexpectedly contained 6 wontons😳 And topped with generous amount of spring onions. Wonton was wrapped with a silky thin wrapping. Every wonton must eat gently, otherwise you will break the wrapper easily. Stuffing was meat and spring onion. Extremely meaty and juicy. It was so satiating that every bite was a bombardment of flavour with such simple few ingredients. Noodle was alright but not in a small portion considering 6 wontons already served. Combining with loaded spring onions, literally each bite added with herby freshness. It was definitely a 10/10🤩.Pan-seared dumplings look nothing special comparing with those commercialised one. Once bite in, crust was still so crisp but not greasy. Stuffing was exploded with savoury flavour plus the spring onion's freshness. In spite of same stuffing with the wonton, they tasted pretty different. Again, a delicacy🤭 Soy milk was nothing special. Not too watery but with a hint of soy bean flavour. Cold as it should be.Staff was patient and nice. Dim sum usually pre-cooked that only if you're lucky, you can catch their fresh cook food. Noodle takes some time to prepare but definitely worth to wait! Price was affordable! This little shop definitely meet the quality and quantity I expected and I must come back again! Next attempt will be the spring onion pancake and pan-seared pork buns🤤
