Cha chan tengs are the one type of restaurant that pretty much symbolizes Hong Kong. There are so many of them from chain restaurants like Tsui Wah to modern hip ones with a retro feel. But what about the old ones. The ones that have been here forever and refuse to make it look retro and hip because it already is old.富堡茶餐厅 is an old cha chan teng located in Wong Tai Sin.  Menu is in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge. The menu is also found on the walls of the place. It's small and cramped. But also packed with people.During dinner time, they have dinner sets and all day sets that cost $56. This includes a main, soup and drink. For soup you can choose the daily Chinese soup or cream of tomato soup. I followed boyfriend as this was his favorite place and had the cream of tomato soup. He seemed to like it more than me. I felt it was too much cream and not enough tomato flavor.We shared two mains. One was the satay fried rice noodle. Portions here was SUPER big. We couldn't finish and he ended up taking the leftovers home for later. The meat was very tender without the taste of meat tenderizer that is so often found in most cha chan tengs. There was enough sauce to not feel dry. The noodles were smooth but not mushy.We also ordered fish fillet with cream of corn sauce with rice. A huge portion as well. The fish fillet was fried nicely without too much coating to make it feel thick and heavy. The corn sauce was sweet and generous.Prices were fairly cheap for the amount of portions provided. 每次嚟呢间茶餐厅总系有惊喜,虽然佢只系间唔起眼、无装修,也唔算得好坐嘅茶餐厅,但楼下雅座经常座无虚席,常要食客移玉步上阁楼。价钱与附近食店比较也不算便宜。答案系此店以食物的质素及独特的烹调技巧取胜。净系餐目嘅选择已经非常特别,特餐分A丶B,每个餐牌有十二款饭选择。早餐、下午茶餐分别有十个餐可供选择。晚餐更接近有百款餸菜以供选择,简直目不遐给,令我乐透了!常餐嘅配搭很特别,有肠仔、双蛋、牛扒,一般的茶餐厅只提供牛油方包。而呢度系一个松软嘅餐包夹住块冰冻鲜牛油,净系呢点已经抵赞。仲有一啖咁多嘅茄汁豆附送,通常好西式嘅早餐先会见到,可见老板将一份简单的常餐加咗唔少成本及心思。细看炸肠仔的做法,师傅将条肠割咗十几刀先炸,一来易熟、二来炸面多D,食落较香口及肠皮较脆。绝对睇得出厨子嘅心思,用原始的方法做出极致的效果。真的很赞叹,所以肠仔是我每次光顾此店必选的,在别的茶餐厅根本唔会存在。呢个系下午茶餐,拣咗沙爹牛肉面配炸鸡中翼及肠仔。面系出前一丁(唔洗加钱),牛肉用沙爹汁腌的,入味非常,观其色已知其味吧!鸡中翼即叫即炸,皮脆肉滑,极之新鲜。一个简单不过的下午茶餐,已尽见厨子的心思及老板不计成本的付出。试问老板是否宠坏了一众老饕呢? 继续阅读

今天外出在黄大仙工作。中午时份,我的肚子开始肚饿;就在银凤街找间茶餐厅吃饭後再工作。早前在这几条街的餐厅吃过饭,今次就选了一间之前没有吃过。叫「富堡茶餐厅」。餐厅内观都可以和光线都充足。但是,座位不够寛敞。侍应生的待客服务态度不太友善。整个餐上枱时间需时十五分钟左右。我点了黑椒牛扒拼炸带子饭,罗宋汤及热奶茶。黑椒牛扒拼炸带子饭有牛排,炸带子及白饭。微微䁔,卖相可以。牛扒很细块,是属於长条型。骤眼看似很大块,只不过是黑椒汁倒在牛扒上面,而白饭刚衬托出来视觉取巧的效果。牛扒好像落了松肉粉般,肉质异常松软,很像混合豆粉似的,不过,牛肉味道浓郁。炸带子有两块,它是类似炸日式带子。应该是好好吃。不过,它被炸熟後,似乎放了一段时间,冻冰冰的。外面就卜卜脆,内𥚃肉质嫩滑,味道都鲜甜。白饭的饭质粗糙,要拌汁才易入口。可惜,吃了几啖饭,就会发现黑椒汁很好肥油。好不健康。罗宋汤有蕃茄,椰菜,洋葱,红萝卜及西芹等汤料。味道很淡,酸甜味欠奉。很像加了水沟淡了罗宋汤。热奶茶,热呼呼的。红茶和淡奶比例不适中。茶味不够浓。不过,味道尚可以接受。总体而言,黑椒牛扒拼炸带子饭的牛排太细块了,口感也异常,肉质太松软了;黑椒汁用得太多食用油去煮,故碟底剩下很多油,太肥腻了。罗宋汤,淡而无味,似乎沟了很多水。热奶茶,还可以。不过,茶不够浓;仍有改善的空间。 继续阅读

唔知有无人同我一样,咁多款奶茶入面,最情有独锺始终都系港式奶茶,仲要系茶餐厅既冻奶茶,是晚冻奶茶隐发作(因为本身介冻饮已经一段日子,今晚真系忍唔住啦)搵左屋企附近既茶记,之前黎过呢度食早餐,觉得饮品都可以反正醉翁之意不在饭,在乎餐饮奶茶也!叫左一个快餐,一个厨师推介冻奶茶+热华田 其实奶茶有点甜,唔记得叫小甜,但当你奶茶隐发作既时候,甜度都不是大问题!热 华田有加花奶,好味!好怕d茶餐厅就咁用华田粉加水,呢度饮品我比高分!煎龙脷意粉配什菌忌廉汁快餐讲求快,不过不失,龙脷柳虽急冻,但煎得都唔错既,白汁有点结蕃茄牛肉炒蛋饭呢个有点惊喜,牛肉同炒蛋都好滑,蕃茄份量差唔多有1个,碟头饭来说实在是合格有余! 继续阅读

洗唔洗咁大碟西柠鸡($52)司令今次由朋友带路,去左间茶记食小菜,望落普普通通,入到去发现小菜有成过百款,仲要好抵食,司令叫左西柠鸡,原先以为佢五十几蚊都系比一碟仔肉,上枱真系吓亲司令咁大碟,足足有两大块鸡扒咁多肉,而且外皮炸得好酥脆,酸酸甜甜好开胃。-加个饭同野饮都只系额外加$13,抵食到烂。其他小菜亦都相当抵食,沙嗲金菇肥牛、茄子斑腩、海南鸡、豆豉鲮鱼炒油麦菜,样样都大大碟,而且好有镬气,可以再战。 继续阅读
