這個喊面是給食店的待客之道.當天我一個人約 6:15 pm 到達食店, 店內只有 2 個客, 但那侍應卻要我坐 Bar 枱, 即面壁位. 因我是吃完就走, 所以算數沒有要求換位. 不久, 有另外2 位客人進來, 侍應竟要求他們與最先進來的那 2 位客人 share 一張四人枱, 初時還以為他們是認識的, 但其後肯定他們毫不相干, 我看到眼都突! 當時大約 6:30 pm, 整間食店有很多空位, 但卻要客人坐得這樣擠, 實在有點過分, 要知這裡是貴價拉麵店, 不是快餐店. 我明白食店想騰空多些枱給遲來的客人, 但直到我 7:00 pm 食完走人, 店內還有八成空位, 實在沒有必要這樣對待客人吧. 希望食店可給予客人多些尊重. 食物方面, 這裡的烏東及湯底真的很好吃, 豬軟骨也很 "淋" , 是很出色的豬軟骨, 但食完都幾滯, 下次應該會試其他. 不過 $150 吃一碗烏東是否值得就見仁見智了. 另外, 吃完後都幾口渴.

與朋友們到IFC 吃飯不屑銀座梅林要人一個鐘交枱走到同層的和歌山見有枱可以慢慢坐傾下計於是幫襯睇左餐牌先知主打係RAMEN 同烏冬其實價錢都唔平,叫左個豬軟骨RAMEN 都要$120 一碗不過收得呢個價錢佢賣相算係咁,大大隻碗俾你, 都幾浮誇個豬軟骨係成條上既,好滿足, 湯底叫左豬軟骨湯底, 所以好夾, 好味其餘小食餃子普通, 比較細隻串燒鰻魚啖啖肉雜綿天婦羅都幾好味最後送既炸蠔亦好鮮味整體唔錯, 又可以慢慢坐, 唔趕客, 斟茶既反應幾快未致於好似其他食家講到咁差

年初二想食麵,IFC 的翡翠拉麵冇開,正斗又要等十張枱,最終去了太座介紹的<和歌山>。之前太座都有推介過,但因太貴都冇諗過幫襯。首次幫襯我當然點選招牌菜<叉燒拉麵>,太座則點了<和牛稻庭烏東>。叉燒拉麵($98)︰選了雞湯作底(因是當店推介,另有豬骨湯底可選),湯夠清甜,略鹹,但配麵則剛好。麵很彈牙,是我喜歡的那種。可惜叉燒不夠腍,又有少許油「益」味,使整個麵失分不少。其他配菜如蛋、昆布、筍等都幾好味。和牛稻庭烏東($150)︰這個烏東我差不多給滿分,其實我都找不到要挑剔的地方,只是直覺上不能給滿分吧,可能係價錢太貴的原因。烏東比拉麵略粗,好彈牙,其滑無比!牛肉湯充滿牛肉味。和牛看上去像是吉野家的肥牛,但食起來便知不是那回事,入口充滿牛的香味!如果再來,都一定要點選有牛肉湯底的烏東!最後一提是服務,叫了埋單兩次,最終都要等十分鐘才有侍應拿單來。那目無表情的女侍應的服務很奇特,她把一張機印單送到我面前給我看銀碼,我遞給她信用卡,她便離開,期間不發一言。兩分鐘後,她送來簽單給我簽名,我簽完後她把信用卡及單據交回給我,期間也是不發一言。整個過程

Wakayama is one of the better lunch options in IFC as it combines pretty good ramen and not completely brusque service. On our last visit here we both had the soft bone pork ramen which was rather impressive. The pork bone was tenderised to the point that it deftly comes apart in your chopsticks. The broth and the ramen noodles themselves were also good. At lunch you can go for a set menu which means you generally select gyoza or a Japanese salad/ fried chicken. At lunch you can go for a set menu which means you generally select gyoza or a Japanese salad/ fried chicken. Avoid the fried chicken as they use dessicated shreddings of chicken that just disappoint. The gyoza are perfectly fine though.

別以為改個日本名, 就是日本來的。這間店, 據說其實又是味千開的, 在中環IFC開無非是想走高檔路線。但是, 座位的編排, 令人在店內食飯極有置身canteen的感覺, 全因舖位不大, 但又想容納多些客人(舖租貴嘛)。枱與枱的距離極近, 但枱的闊度又不太合理, 你跟對面的人好似好遠, 但跟左右的人又極近 ....... 室內設計與老闆心目中「容納多些客以多些賺錢」的想法, 並不吻合。至於食物, 也是令人失笑的。好多日本麵店, 湯麵中有芽菜作配料。而這間店, 就居然用了大豆芽, 成件事變得好港式, 簡直係笑話。大佬呀, 而家我係食日本拉麵, 唔係街邊嗱喳麵, 你加啲大豆芽落, 係咪好有礙觀瞻呢?鰹魚雞湯底, 淡而無味, 跟不能吸味的麵條, 互相輝映。和牛像極了大家樂的西冷牛扒, 豚肉則是豬頸肉。算吧, 返去食味千的豬骨湯麵, 平得多, 冇咁嬲。

Saturday lunch. Unexpectedly there were many ppl.Tried Mist before. It seems Ramen is going expensive now. My friend wants to taste the Ramen here as it looks famous. The pork with soft bone one is REALLY impressive, I havent seen such loooong and large pork with soft bone and it's in regular shape! And it's tasty! Far better than the other Ramen (pork with vege). But honestly, I dont know why the bowls are such BIG while there was not much Ramen inside. Poor waiters as the bowls must be so hea

I havent seen such loooong and large pork with soft bone and it's in regular shape! And it's tasty! Far better than the other Ramen (pork with vege). But honestly, I dont know why the bowls are such BIG while there was not much Ramen inside. Poor waiters as the bowls must be so heavy!

There were some side dishes to choose from and we chose:
1) fried oyster rolls: good! even they're cold.
2) japanese dumplings: good too! I dont like dumplings but I cant deny it's beautifully done.


However, the tea wasnt very good. It smelt but didnt taste great, it's just like water.

By the way, I think it's more worth trying than Mist.

因知道IFC午餐難有位,所以十二點零五分已抵達,不用等位。和朋友點了叉燒拉麵和豬軟骨拉麵,小吃有餃子和炸雞。湯選了他們引以爲傲的鰹魚湯底。叉燒有極強雪味,以這個價錢完全離譜。豬軟骨軟硬適中且入味,值得一讚。拉麵是普通貨式,我的一碗裏的竟然有一部份是chi埋一舊的。鰹魚湯底略淡,海帶的味比魚或雞更強。餃子很小,炸雞還可以。計及裝修、很大的碗及地點,也只能值70-80元。雙倍價錢有點過分。這高級版味千當然較爲精緻,但相比之下,可以說味千更勝一籌。一次就夠。

因為沒有訂位服務, 而門外又有很多人在等候, 所以我對這一碗充滿了期望的拉麵, 結果是充滿了失望. 價錢貴是預料之內, 唔好食就真是預料之外啦. 拉麵裡除了有4片有渣的和牛, 半隻蛋及配菜, 還有食完好口渴的鰹魚雞湯底.So, don't expect too much is right.

Since I have this mission to exhaust all F&B outlets at IFC - helps with the movie outing thing, I had to try Wakayama despite the lukewarm reviews. Started well enough with my favorite drink of the moment. More Japanese restaurants should stock it. My tolerance for a yogurt based soda is higher than it is for Sake so all Japanese restaurants please take note! And if you're not a Japanese restaurant and you stock this, you get extra brownie points!For starters, the grilled ox tongue was tasty

My tolerance for a yogurt based soda is higher than it is for Sake so all Japanese restaurants please take note! And if you're not a Japanese restaurant and you stock this, you get extra brownie points!

For starters, the grilled ox tongue was tasty enough although a couple of pieces were overly chewy and took away from the experience - hate it when that happens. What's the point of chewing on something that cannot be broken down and then having to gingerly set it aside back on the plate. So what's the etiquette on this? Do you do that or do you just swallow? But the couple of pieces aside, the rest was decent enough and kept us busy until the main came.

The peeps come here for the ramen. Here's my take: the pork soft bone ramen is probably the signature here. I liked that the pork soft bone was as it should it - well braised to break down easily on the palate, a delicate crunch from the cartilage to give the entire piece of meat added texture, and then just enough fat to seal it off with a touch of grease. The ramen itself wasn't bad - retaining enough springiness but apart from that, nothing to write home about. The soup base was unusually clear by today's standards but had enough flavor from the bonito, a difference from other ramen joints. So this is definitely a healthier version than most so there's less guilt in drinking up. Plus, there is significantly less salt.

We ordered the Wagyu beef ramen to try too, but alas, this was disappointing for the meat that is supposed to be Wagyu. First of all, I don't think it was the freshest piece of meat. It had a little off smell/taste, not by a lot, but you can definitely discern it. Secondly, it wasn't melt-in-your-mouth quality which you might expect if it's in ramen. So other than a nice stock with a generous sprinkling of corn kernels, which I like, I would not order this again.

Finally, but oddly so since this was meant to be an appetizer, our shrimp tempura roll arrived. Overly mayo-ed, it was decent enough but a little blah since the shrimp had been sitting out for too long, and the rice a little sad from accompanying the shrimp. Edible anyhow although again, didn't do much to get us excited.

Overall, if you really have to have ramen in the complex, Wakayama is fine. Just don't go in with high expectations. I don't really think it's a ramen joint that's worthy of being called that, and perhaps that's why there's no mention of it in the restaurant's name. An average joint, and perhaps great for those who do an airport check-in. It is better than Ajisen at the airport, or at least, it's a healthier option.

作晚一嚐IFC嘅天婦羅及和牛拉麵。此處的湯底標傍選用鰹魚、鮮雞及豬骨烹製,色清味濃富層次。試畢後,味道確是不俗,但又未至於店方形容得那麼誇張。麵質方面,口感煙煙韌韌有咬口,有一定水準。至於餸料,天婦羅未算出色,外層未夠鬆化,內裡的食材亦缺乏味道;反之和牛水準不錯,味道質感皆令人滿意,加上半隻水溜溜的温泉蛋,更討人歡喜。以份量來說,所用的碗雖大,但拉麵配菜還是標準份量。稍為不足的是和牛件,只有四小件,數量明有點吝惜感。

呢個好好食,不過唔平,要成百幾蚊,有無其他朋友試過? 雖然唔算平,但勝在飯炒得好乾身好香口,和牛D肉汁超勁,一D都唔乾身, 而且D飯夠熱,加埋蔥花同特色醬汁,幾和味。 不過記得要盡可能將牛粒放返0係飯面,咁樣D牛先唔會老,切記!

I was very hungry, but the ramen that came was surprisinly huge!!i had the pork cheek ramen. the pork cheek was like a gigantic lump of meat! when i have char siu ramen i usually get only 2 or 3 thin pieces at most, what is wrong with this place? they gave me an entire chunk of pork cheek!!!! the photos above may not really show how large that pork was. the bowl itself is already extremely huge, much bigger than a normal japanese bowl. so imagine a piece of meat that is about 5 or 6 inches

putting aside the unnecessary large portion of pork cheek, the soup base was very tasty. the ramen itself was also very chewy. very nice indeed!

we arrived at around 12:50 pm and i think we waited for about 15 minutes for the table.
