sorry. my english is very bad. because i come from japan.I want to compian the service.i think it is very poor.Last monday , i go harakan to enjoy our dinner,that day is my fd birthay.I want to give her one happy birthay. But your manager and staff "Annie"service are very bad.That day we very uphappy. i feel very disappoint. i think i dont come forever .

2005年6月26日(星期日) 下午12時我們一行九人到了這裡吃午市放題,我們坐進了VIP房,如平日是需要最低消費四千元。房間內十人長檯,兩旁安放著高身酒架和長梯,還擺放了各式的日本酒,另一面是向街的落地玻璃。這個和食放題給每位食客從自選餐牌上選擇個人喜愛的食物再加上吧檯前任吃的前菜及關西煮物。刺身:每位從八款魚生中選四款,每款一件。我們吃了油甘魚、甜蝦、吞拿魚背和司腌;基本上剌身賣相不錯,都幾新鮮;個人則較為喜歡司腌,因十分鮮甜爽口,值得推介。壽司:每位從十款壽司中選四款,每款一件。個人覺得軍艦壽司的紫菜是不脆的,不像即叫即做,令人比較失望;刺身類壽司算是有水準。然而,壽司飯就不是想像中那麼好。卷物:每位從七款卷物中選一款。個人選了辣三文魚卷,外層不用紫菜,辣味適中而且魚油十足,尚算不錯。爐端燒:每位從八款串燒中選二款,每款一串。我們選了牛舌和元貝,個人覺得牛舌和元貝都燒得不錯,牛舌厚身兼有咬口,帶子亦弄得很鮮甜。燒物及揚物:每位從十一款燒物或炸物中選一款。我們吃了什錦天婦羅和銀雪魚西京燒,什錦天婦羅賣相討好,薄薄的外層脆槳包著大蝦、南瓜及茄子,熱辣辣,不太覺有油沾在墊紙上,幾乎拍得

這個和食放題給每位食客從自選餐牌上選擇個人喜愛的食物再加上吧檯前任吃的前菜及關西煮物。

刺身:每位從八款魚生中選四款,每款一件。我們吃了油甘魚、甜蝦、吞拿魚背和司腌;基本上剌身賣相不錯,都幾新鮮;個人則較為喜歡司腌,因十分鮮甜爽口,值得推介。

壽司:每位從十款壽司中選四款,每款一件。個人覺得軍艦壽司的紫菜是不脆的,不像即叫即做,令人比較失望;刺身壽司算是有水準。然而,壽司飯就不是想像中那麼好。

卷物:每位從七款卷物中選一款。個人選了辣三文魚卷,外層不用紫菜,辣味適中而且魚油十足,尚算不錯。

爐端燒:每位從八款串燒中選二款,每款一串。我們選了牛舌和元貝,個人覺得牛舌和元貝都燒得不錯,牛舌厚身兼有咬口,帶子亦弄得很鮮甜。

燒物及揚物:每位從十一款燒物或炸物中選一款。我們吃了什錦天婦羅和銀雪魚西京燒,什錦天婦羅賣相討好,薄薄的外層脆槳包著大蝦、南瓜及茄子,熱辣辣,不太覺有油沾在墊紙上,幾乎拍得住「稻菊」;銀雪魚就肉質嫩滑,魚皮也燒得好香。

飯、麵:每位從六款飯或麵中選一款。我們選了炸蝦天婦羅飯和迷你什錦碎魚生飯,這次的炸蝦天婦羅就不是太好,脆槳不脆了,可能被熱飯弄到淋晒。至於什錦碎魚生飯,細細碗,新鮮的碎魚生和蟹子鋪滿整碗飯上,幾好。

雖然自選食物貴精不貴多,但到這時候已經飽到七七八八。說回前菜和關西煮物,雖然是任吃,但不是交行貨,多款食物也十分美味,如白灼牛肉、蘿白、豆腐、冷麵和甜點等等。個人覺得那些日本蘿白煮得好入味,沒有渣,十分之正!豆腐又十分滑溜,口感一流;還有,牛肉不是預先灼好,而是侍應會為食客即場烹調的,肉質鮮嫩,味道當然不錯。

P.S.這裡的洗手間不算大,裝修也不錯;男士在一樓,女士在地下。

u are given the poorest services at Harakan. i think their Manager should re-consider letting Annie to ruin eaters' appetite. it's really a waste of the nice sashimi.

It is amusing to know that the atmosphere of Japanese restaurants in this neighborhood varies so vastly. At some corners the vibes can best be described as austere, yet at others the ambiance is outright intimating. It is amusing to know that the atmosphere of Japanese restaurants in this neighborhood varies so vastly. Harakan, a two-storied upscale Japanese restaurant not far away from the Lee Garden, lies somewhere in between. The dcor is modern and lush yet the vibes are comfortable and warm.

The starter I ordered was one of my favorite Japanese food, the ‘natto,’fermented soybeans. I just love the pungent, smelly note as well as the sticky and stringy texture of this comfort food. I love the fact that I can smell this food ten feet away. But I guess my sentiment for natto was not echoed by most people in Hong Kong since I rarely see any locals order this. Sadly, when it first arrived at the table, it wasn’t served right: there was not raw egg on top of it. It was not authentic. Most Japanese tend to mix natto with raw egg and some chopped onion –in a way the smelly becomes smellier and the sticky becomes stickier –I guess. Unwilling to make do with a lower version, I asked the waitress to come back with a raw egg on my natto. It was better but still not the best. The beans were not seasoned enough to acheive the distinctive burnt flavor of natto should have.

Next dish was the one I came here for: the liver of Monkfish. Monkfish, also known as ‘allmouth, ’or as ‘angler’in the West or ‘lantern fish’by our Chinese. In Japan, the fish is called ‘ankoo fish,’and its liver is wildly dubbed as the Japanese foie gras (the meat of the fish is usually discarded). It is as highly celebrated as the blowfish in Japan. That said, it was not as plump and meaty as the real foie gras, at least to me. It tasted fresh and milder, with nuanced flavor of mashed greens (surprisingly).

The sashimi platter was great too, with staple like salmon, toro, shrimp, conch, scallop and the sea urchin roe. All of them were utterly fresh.

The signature sushi set of Harakan, meanwhile, was in a league of its own. By far the most stylish and eccentric sushi set I’ve seen in Hong Kong. All the eight pieces of sushi in the set were artistically arranged. The cod roe (male cod’s sperm) sushi, in particular, was the most intriguing sushi I’ve tasted in a long while. The Japanese are really good at eating sperm! It was airy and, believe it or not, nubile. The blue sprat sushi, on the other hand shown the sushi master was a real deal: a ribbon of sprat slices was delicately constructed on top of the rice roll. The godsend blowfish was also executed in perfection. It was aromatic and creamy.

Albeit the food was excellent, the service of Harakan was moderate. The staff were brainwashed to tell nothing but the stiffest should a patron ask what good the restaurant has to offer. Some foundamental questions about their cuisine made them looking at each other thoughtfully and coming up with answers like this: 'let me check with the chef first and get back to you later.' More trainings are recommended.

One of the lunch sets costs $240 & consists of 12 sushi (with sashimi on top) & a califonia roll. Although the environment & service is very good, but the food quality is just OK, not outstanding.

只係少少補充,呢度啲飯係用日本既「礦泉水」煮的,米就唔係好記得日本邊個縣不過小弟食果時,條脷就無咁犀利舐得出礦泉既味道啦spoon都係用礦泉水煮嘢,不過礙於價錢同需要,未有機會食下佢既「裝修」啦

The sashimi is sooooooooo fresh.... and the service is excellent! 2 person... around $2500 with a bottle of sake and food! super good.. will try again next time...!!! expensive but worth going!

由上個禮拜開始,有意無意咁食咗:炭燒狸、庵今日晏晝喺銅鑼灣,嚟咗呢間新嘢試呢度之前都經過幾次,出面兩層落地玻璃,用淺色木做裝修,分上下兩層,像LG同UG咁:下面有壽司呢,上面有爐燒同鐵板燒坐喺下面lunch又係以壽司同刺身為主,價錢約$120-$260見度呢度又有個叫"特上",$240,但有個自選既$260可任揀12舊壽司同1條手卷,但無得打孖上(咁梗係啦,咪我12舊都揀晒"拖羅"啦!)都好多選擇,揀晒啲貴價啲同少有啲既料,哈~包括:拖羅、海膽、海鰻、帶子、油甘、沙丁......,同埋少少唔太清識認既魚前菜西日式沙律同麵豉湯,不是差,但就是不算得好(喺呢個級別)講返壽司,件件都好新鮮,色澤都唔錯,但就無早幾日食果間"庵"咁"反光"啦味道不錯,但又是爭"庵"少少囉,但呢度選擇比較多想講下師傅既"手勢":呢度bar枱有幾個廚,有一個係日本佬(主帥,牆身貼咗證書之類),但佢無"握"壽司,喺度教個後生"片"蘿蔔"帶",壽司係由一個中年港人整,但眼見其"手勢"尚未到家,握得唔太好(果時仲未多人,不能以此為理由)而佢地用既米亦無"庵"咁靚睇過佢個main menu,價錢都唔叫極貴,都係太約收番佢呢

都好多選擇,揀晒啲貴價啲同少有啲既料,哈~
包括:拖羅、海膽、海鰻、帶子、油甘、沙丁......,同埋少少唔太清識認既魚
前菜西日式沙律同麵豉湯,不是差,但就是不算得好(喺呢個級別)
講返壽司,件件都好新鮮,色澤都唔錯,但就無早幾日食果間"庵"咁"反光"啦
味道不錯,但又是爭"庵"少少囉,但呢度選擇比較多
想講下師傅既"手勢":
呢度bar枱有幾個廚,有一個係日本佬(主帥,牆身貼咗證書之類),但佢無"握"壽司,喺度教個後生"片"蘿蔔"帶",壽司係由一個中年港人整,但眼見其"手勢"尚未到家,握得唔太好(果時仲未多人,不能以此為理由)
而佢地用既米亦無"庵"咁靚
睇過佢個main menu,價錢都唔叫極貴,都係太約收番佢呢個級別既價位,且除咗魚生,都幾多嘢揀
服務起初少客時幾好,幾個女侍應對三兩枱客,而當中有部分員工對食物既了解未夠
後來呢度好旺,除咗bar枱,全部full晒,全部西裝友(除咗我),但一個日本仔都無,明顯係地段關係
有樣嘢幾搞笑,有客生日,個整壽司果個師傅整咗個"生日蛋糕"畀佢,個樣都幾核突吓,用飯圍底,加木魚絲,漬蘿蔔,好似再加幾塊吞拿魚,最後加埋枝細佬仔爉燭,我諗係"送"既
因為連續食咗"庵"同依度,結論係前者更加日本,好食啲,後者係走高檔路線,裝修豪啲,地方不同,所以兩者客路都不同
點講都好,呢度都試得過
題外話:
而家嘉蘭中心變咗利園二期,成個希慎道一帶再升級咗一大截,呢間原澗同二期期habitu(果次經駛麻麻)都係豪裝新店,而佢啲名店實在太貴,Jean Paul Gaultier又嚟返香港,但太窮,無錢買

餐後有緑茶雪糕,同一般較好少少既日式餐廳一樣,重奶味,加工咗果隻,ok啦加啡,之前要加"所謂"二字,畀一般日式嘢附之更不濟,只舐了半啖
