Much to boyfriend's shock, he realized I have never had a lemon honey butter crispy bun ($20) at 勝香園 (English name: Sing Heung Yuen). Located on Gough Street, it's a dai pai dong type restaurant that is only open in the day time. Serving their famous tomato soup based noodles with pretty much any combination of ingredients, they also serve cha chan teng classics. As there are now less tourists, there wasn't any queue but they were still very busy with locals eating there.Menu is in English and C

We were only there for take away. The staff was fairly nice and even told us to have a seat while waiting as they only have one toaster oven. And then it appeared. What my boyfriend claimed to be their best item. A toasted crispy bun slathered with butter, honey and lemon. Ummm.....ok. The bun was crispy and one bite literally had me covered with crumbs. The filing was sweet with a taste of honey and lemon. There wasn't much buttery taste. The staff was nice enough to slice it up for us even though it wasn't asked. It was good for a snack. Just be prepared to be pretty messy.
