The place was not too hard to locate, it's basically situated across the bus station going towards Ocean Park.
The place was clean and the staff were all pretty organized. A plasma TV showed the menu of the restaurant, which was quite extensive and reasonably priced. They used a lot of pink and other pastel colours in their interior. All the staff were very polite and soft-spoken. 95% of the customers were ladies. I felt slightly out of place there.
I went for the Japanese Tonkatsu (pork cutlet) curry, with spiced pork trotters and a sesame salad. All these for HK$49 only. I placed my order at the counter without the need to queue and got my bento after a 4 minutes wait.
Well, so how did it taste like? Although this combination was not one of their "signature bentos", the quality of the curry sauce was actually quite authentic. The pork chop was slightly on the tough side. I would have preferred that the rice be a bit more soft but the portion was quite large so it was OK.
The pork's trotter was nicely marinated in a Taiwan style 5 spice but quite boney.
The salad tasted pretty nice. The vegetables were quite fresh and the sesame sauce was the one used in authentic Japanese salads.
All in all, this bento was OK but in view of the good and efficient service plus the good selection of food and good price, I'll give it a "Good". I'll definitely try their signature bentos as well as their noodles.
Worth a try.
