Need to point out that the very annoying service indeed. Long story short. While the hot bread is delivered, they have a very long long long explanation of the menu plus showcasing the beef selection. To be honest, i would be very much appreciated if i could enjoyed my warm bread first while it was still hot. By the time they were done with the long explanation the bread turned cold already. Hmmm... While we were enjoying the onion bread they kept coming and ask if you could order food now. Didnt you see us biting with bread still in our mouth? For such high priced steak house it would be great if they could come when we need them and not like keep interrupting us and urging us to order. Staff fromNot professional AT ALL, they should be trained to come and serve AT THE RIGHT TIME like other high-ended restaurant. Great beef, Great side orders, GREAT CHEFS. 07-08/2011 英國甚麼都不好吃,就只有Pret合我心水。未到英國讀書之前我經已好喜歡Pret,好喜歡他的食物總給人簡單健康又美味的感覺。在英國期間Pret總是我lunch的首選。比較過兩地的出品大致也相同,食物質數一樣的好,品質管理實在值得一讚!唯一就是Baguette還是英國的好很多,無論是Baguette本身及Baguette內的餡料。(雖然還未嚐過香港的但單憑肉眼已能判斷得出來!所以還是不敢試了!哈) 英國Pret的Artisan Baguette是從法國來的,簡值好味到不得了呀!今天要講的是Banana & Honey Granola Bowl,如此的配搭就只有香港獨有。最面層的Granola香甜帶蜜味,細心品嚐還有我很喜歡的肉桂香,口感煙煙韌韌的極富咬口,拌以中間香滑濃稠又厚身的希臘式乳酪實在是有說不出的幸福感!最底層的新鮮香蕉片混和著蜜糖及帶肉桂香的granola同吃味道極匹配,好味得難以形容!另外還試了個Super Berry Bowl (HK$23),同樣也不容錯過!中層一樣是那濃厚的希臘式乳酪,面層則換上Muesli,這綜合乾果內容豐富,有燕麥、提子乾、杏脯乾、香蕉乾、椰子乾、南瓜籽……等等,香甜好吃又健康!初時還以為會被granola比下去卻絕非如此呢,口感同樣煙煙韌韌令人越咬越是停不下來!至於底部的藍莓醬在質感及味道上都跟平常吃到的藍莓果醬很接近,但卻來得更為清新自然不甜膩。三者的混合實在跟之前的Banana & Honey Granola Bowl分不出高下來呀!…Read More

28/07/2011, THU每次經過這裡也沒有想吃Auntie Anne’s的衝動,沒想到原來大家對她也讚不絕口!所以今天一於跟daddy前來一試,剛好原來他早已想吃它了!看到Pretzel(百味圈)的口味也有不少選擇,分別有原味、香蒜、酸忌廉洋葱、玉桂糖、香草芝士、杏仁、芝麻、奇趣提子及拖肥。另外還有Pretzel Dog(百味熱狗)及daddy想吃的pizza等等。百味圈只會在烘焗前於表面額外塗上牛油來增添風味,在製作過程中絕不添加任何油脂成份亦非油炸而成。另外他們還標榜每個百味圈都會是30分鐘內新鮮焗製,實在值得一試。我分別點了一個杏仁,一個香蒜口味的百味圈,因為自己不太喜歡牛油的味道所以店員亦很樂意為我重新現烤。到收銀處付款後我們倆的食物都經已完全預備好了,服務及效率值得一讚。百味圈拿上手新鮮熱辣,先說杏仁口味的。表面沾滿很多粗顆粒狀的杏仁碎及拖肥碎,咬下去相當香脆口感十足,雖然杏仁味沒有很突出但每咀嚼一下都帶有濃濃的拖肥焦香和甜香。麵糰內裡則非常鬆軟,就像麵包般。整個吃罷也毫無過份甜膩的感覺!至於香蒜味的實在讓我有點驚喜!表面灑滿厚厚的那一層香蒜粉可真不簡單,香蒜粉的那一陣辛辣味相當重再加上濃郁蒜香令整個百味圈的惹味程度生色不少。自己本身最多也只能接受中辣程度所以這個香蒜百味圈吃罷也感到頗刺激的!很不錯!Pretzel鹹甜口味也各有特色,最重要是Pretzel熱吃會更加有風味呀!Daddy亦大讚他的pizza及Pretzel Dog好味呢!…Read More

20/07/2011, WED早幾年香港人對日式芝士蛋糕十分之著迷,我亦不例外。當時隨處都會有伊藤家日式芝士蛋糕的蹤影,說伊藤家就等於在講芝士蛋糕。而我經常都會即興到百佳或OK便利店買個來滿足自己,周圍都有實在很方便。很久也未吃過甜品蛋糕之類的了,不知為何這一陣子很想回味一下。現在要吃伊藤家的芝士蛋糕就只能到她的專賣店了,而且見一間少一間。今早刻意來買了一個細蛋糕,感覺比以前的小巧,但那簡約的外形還是這樣討人歡心。肥嘟嘟的蛋糕看罷也覺開心,表面烤至美麗的金黃色,與下面白雪雪的蛋糕體看起來很可愛!用小刀輕輕一切就知道蛋糕是多麼的軟綿綿,放人口芝士蛋糕就像梳夫里般在舌尖溶化,極之香滑綿密而且那濕潤的質感實在讓我感到好幸福呀!就連咀嚼的功夫也省了!蛋糕的芝士味沒有很濃郁而是屬溫和細膩的那種,這便是日式芝士蛋糕的特色,亦是我愛她的原因。最怕就是那種又濃、又甜膩、又滯的芝士味。有時候間中回味一下這個” 伊藤家”也不錯,正適合我這種怕吃太甜的人!…Read More

16/07/2011, SAT店子雖然不大,但環境感覺cosy。星期六的中午沒多久客人已經逐漸坐滿,幸好自己早已訂座。今天就點了份只有在周末才供應的Egg Benedict,再加一杯Cappuccino。跟著餐另加HK$15的這杯Cappuccino面層奶泡感覺非常輕盈柔滑,人口細密,咖啡味道溫和沒有任何苦澀感或酸味。只是溫度有點稍嫌不足,否則就更完美了。Egg Benedict能選擇配以Bacon,Ham,或Smoked Salmon。是日就選擇了Ham的。輕搖碟子那粉嫩的班尼迪蛋也隨著輕輕搖晃,看罷也覺可愛!用刀把蛋一切鮮黃色的蛋黃漿就緩緩地流出,濃稠的蛋黃漿融和著帶輕柔牛油香的荷蘭醬,再與墊底煎香過的醃火腿、磨菇粒、菠菜及烤至鬆脆的英式鬆餅同吃,實在有說不出的滿足感!…Read More

15/07/2011, FRI之前在銅鑼灣SOGO地庫內的Freshmart看到這個海綿蛋糕,大大個四四方方的外形很討好,感覺很可愛!時隔差不多一個月後的今天終於把它買回來了!今天特意一早起床叫Daddy駕車載我到元朗的總店,一入店內眼見排成一座小山般的海綿蛋糕就在眼前實在太興奮了!回到家後小心翼翼地把包得緊緊的保鮮紙撕開,海綿蛋糕那濃郁的蛋香隨即散發出來,光這樣嗅著就覺甜美。蛋糕用手觸碰便能感覺到它有多麼的濕潤軟綿,比BB的肌膚還要軟滑呢,真怕把蛋糕表皮弄碰!海綿蛋糕用上植物油而非牛油絕對更符合我的要求,每一口都充滿濃烈的蛋香味,感覺十分天然,而最重要的是甜味不霸道又沒有油膩的牛油味,味道簡單得來十分討好!可能是因為蛋糕本身實在太香滑又軟綿綿了,我實在無法控制自己往它飛禽大咬的食相,只有不能自拔的大口大口咬下去,停不下來呢!這個簡單的海綿蛋糕每口都充滿著甜美得不過份又濃厚的蛋香,今後一定會繼續支持呀!好味道!…Read More

14/07/2011, THUDaddy昨日到此吃過後大讚所以今天就帶我再次光臨。其實早在多年次我經已瘋狂地愛上這裡的出品,尤其是那個La tarte au citron (即檸檬撻),及Croissant,實在是香港全城最佳。每逢假日總會嚷著父母帶我來掃貨,直到自己吃甜吃到怕的那段時間開始就久久也未曾碰過任何甜品了。數年後再次光臨這裡的牛角酥已由當初的HK$10一隻,隨後的HK$12,加至現在的HK$15一隻。但雖如此這裡的牛角酥還是絕不能錯過的。自己一向也愛吃Baguette,時日便選擇了Le sandwich Parisien au jambon beurre。這是個以火腿及Camembert cheese作餡的Baguette。在英國總會很容易找到法國來的Artisan Baguette,每當我回到英國的時候幾乎天天都要吃,簡值是百吃不厭的美食呢!話說回來,這個Baguette光靠其外表已經知道必會讓我滿意。Baguette表皮十分之香脆而且亦富應有的韌勁,一口咬下碎片四散,而且要使勁的咬著咬著那感覺實在是極之滿足呀!至於內裡的麵糰亦甚有麵粉香!無論外形、質感、觸感及味道也相當的正宗!真要我雞蛋裡挑骨頭的話,比較起來它跟我在英國所吃到的少了一份麥香,除了這點之外這個baguette其實已經是相當出色的了!內餡的厚切火腿相當美味,味道濃郁極富肉香,而且厚切風味更佳。而大塊狀由法國來的camembert cheese口感又軟又滑非常creamy,味道香濃卻不霸道。芝士上還灑了點黑胡椒作錦上添花之效!厚切火腿及camembert cheese能吃得出是有質數的,配搭簡單又美味,絕對是心機之作!在香港也能吃到如此正宗又有水準的baguette三文治感覺好幸福呀!…Read More

01/07/2011, FRI香港回歸十四周年的今天來到這裡買了個很久也沒吃過的Camembert芝士法飽(Hearth Bread with Camembert)。記得以前曾有一次吃過是剛出爐新鮮熱辣的,那些芝士還呈流心狀態,滾熱辣的芝士實在又滑又香濃。 今天再次重溫這個包雖然並非出爐貨色但亦依舊好味道。體積不少但包身不算重,法包的表皮烘得非常薄身又焦脆,帶微焦的麥香,咬著咬著口感很煙韌有時候還要用點力才能把法包的表皮撕開,很喜歡這種口感呢!而內芯的麵包相當鬆軟綿密,再加上麵包內包入大量切成丁狀的Camembert cheese實在有說不出的好味道呀。味道稱不想新穎或新奇但卻愈咬愈是滋味!Camembert cheese很軟滑味道又濃郁但又不會令我這個不好芝士的人反感,沒有膩滯感實在是不錯呢!要是剛出爐伴著溶化芝士就更完美了!…Read More

29/06/2011, WED來過TIT*F很多次也未曾碰上過這個綠茶南瓜包,昨日讓我碰上了她當然不放過啦!綠茶南瓜包一共分為三層,分別有最外層的綠茶麵包,然後白麵包,及最內芯的南瓜餡。綠茶麵包層富綠茶香,這裡的綠茶出品就是好味道,口感煙煙韌韌的!白麵包也不容忽視,是非常鬆軟香滑又軟綿綿,也富麵粉香,在嘴裡咬著時感覺好像綿花糖般溶掉。而我實在是很喜歡藏在最內裡的南瓜餡,泥狀的南瓜溶呈美麗鮮豔的柑橘色,極之軟滑,而且還夾雜著已變得軟身的南瓜皮,雙重的口感更具層次感呢!最重要的是這細滑的南瓜餡很清甜,沒有任何如白砂糖等的額外添加物,只單純靠南瓜溶本身那天然的香甜味道。麵包師傅用上白麵包而非綠茶包去裹住南瓜餡實在是明智的配搭,重味的綠茶包會蓋過南瓜的風味,相反以味道純樸的白麵包襯托之下就更能帶出南瓜的美味!這樣又能吃出綠茶香又能嚐到南瓜的真味,再加上整個麵包口感軟滑濕潤實在太幸福啦!…Read More

21/06/2011, TUE綠茶紅豆包還未出爐,自己強忍不要往吃過很多次的高鈣栗子包那邊看(因為自己實在很愛這個包但又想試試其他款式…嘻),這次就嚐了個北海道綠茶芝士麵包。綠茶芝士包的旋渦式外皮很可愛,從橫切面能看出麵包一共分為五層,由最外層開始分別為牛油脆皮,綠茶麵包,朱古力麵包,芝士餡,及綠茶餡。未吃已先興奮呀!最外層的牛油脆皮口感介乎於像港色墨西哥包的表皮那樣及軟身曲奇之間,但卻又沒有那重牛油的甜膩。綠茶麵包層的綠茶味香濃,實在很愛這裡的綠茶出品呢!朱古力包的部分味道則沒有太濃厚的朱古力甜味而只略為帶過,這樣反而更能顯現主角綠茶的食味。之於芝士餡味道很有特色,不是坊間一般的芝士味也並非用上普通的忌廉芝士,而是清身的酸乳酪味卻又以忌廉芝士的質感呈現,味道夾雜著微微鹹香,簡值跟整個麵包的綠茶甜香擦出了微妙的火花呀!而最內裡的綠茶餡質感相當特別,很喜歡它那介乎於更為濕潤的海綿蛋糕及糊狀之間般的口感,濕濕軟軟的。吃這個包每一大口中那芝士的鹹香及綠茶餡的甜香都互相融和交替著,真的是很神奇的味道呀,再加上香軟麵包的襯托下實在不得了呢!…Read More

11/06/2011, SAT數天前跟媽咪倆到太平館吃過晚飯後順道來買幾隻上海甜粽回味一下,而且那個時候又是端午節所以也來應應節吧!光是以紅豆為主的甜粽就已經有好幾款,買來了紅豆豆沙粽 (HK$20/隻) 及桂花紅豆粽(HK$18/隻)。自己較喜歡有豆沙餡的所以先嚐個紅豆豆沙粽吧!紅豆豆沙粽糯米軟滑黏糯,蒸過後傳來陣陣香葉的芳香。而內裡的紅豆豆沙餡實在是討得我滿心歡喜呀,豆沙餡很清甜又不過膩,吃得出沒有加入大量糖份,所以紅豆本身的食味非常突出,而且豆沙質感相當細滑香軟,加上混合在糯米內的原粒紅豆粒同吃實在是口感豐富。是相當好味道的豆沙粽呢!…Read More

28/04/2011, THU昨天特意前來想一嚐綠茶紅豆包但很可惜當時還未出爐呢,於是便買了上次吃過又超級喜歡的高鈣栗子包代替!自己也快要回英國去了,臨離港前如果未能試到一心想吃的這個綠茶紅豆包我知道自己絕對會很不心息。自己實在不死心所以決定再回到店裡去,在不想就此放棄的一問之下老闆娘及麵包師傅竟然很好人地答應了我今天在我到達的那個時間這個綠茶紅豆包會準時出爐!聽到之後我實在開心到不得了呀……嘻嘻!真的很感謝他們倆呢…現在還感到非常興奮感動。今天便按約定時間再重臨這裡,見到一個個由昨天一直期待至這刻的綠茶紅豆包就在眼前實在太幸福啦!說回這個綠茶紅豆包,吃了一口之後那股濃烈的綠茶味就爆發出來了,嗅下去真的很香很香呀!麵包內芯呈美麗的翠綠色,質地綿密軟滑富彈性,每咬一口都充滿著很天然的綠茶味,是非一般濃厚的綠茶味,真的好喜歡呢!而麵包內裡的糖煮紅豆粒質感又粉又綿,味道清甜,跟綠茶包簡值是個無可挑剔的百份百完美組合呀。咬至中間的位置越多紅豆粒,越咬越興奮,這叫人怎能停下來呀?連對麵包沒有太大興趣的daddy也大讚這個綠茶紅豆包好味道,他還很愛那股綠茶味呢!嘻嘻……多謝老闆娘及麵包師傅呀,今趟飛回英國的漫長路途總算沒遺憾了啦!好味好味…好味呀!…Read More

22/04/2011, FRI吃過上次的高纖蜜維果包後,今天專程來吃高鈣栗子包,很開心Daddy駕車陪我來呢!用甜蕃薯作麵包涵料的坊間多的是,但用上栗子的卻十分難見。想著想著昨晚還興奮得有點難以入睡呢…哈!高鈣栗子包表面的花紋很美,軟腍卻又非常煙韌,再配合灑得一層厚厚的白麵粉,實在太愛這感覺了!不過吃時daddy不停笑我吃到整個嘴唇也白白的,還想替我拍照,幸好被我及時阻止……嘻哈哈!說回這個麵包的味道,她沒有高纖蜜維果包那一陣重重的奶油味,只有單純的白麵包所以沒有過甜膩的感覺,這實在是更合我意!而且白麵包跟栗子溶會更夾得來,也更能突顯栗子本身的食味!不用再三強調這個白麵包當然絕對是又香滑又軟綿綿啦!至於內裡的栗子涵實在令我感動,每吃一口都感到自己實在很幸福呀!栗子溶很真實,味道天然,能吃出沒有任何如糖這樣的添加物但本身卻又很清甜,栗子本身的食味也愈吃愈香濃。質感柔軟香滑又濃稠,沒有吃出丁點兒顆粒,太出色了!這個麵包咬著時愈吃愈是美味,停不下來呢!說明了是高鈣栗子包,當然會有淡淡的牛奶味,但絕非那種甜膩的奶油忌廉味,而是來得更柔和又似有若無的牛奶清香,若隱若現的。…Read More

GourmetTT 她跟蘋果包是各有風味的麵包!Ceres的出品偏向歐陸式,麵包密度較高咬起來很實在。而TIT*F的較為日式,一般日式麵包質感普遍都會較軟腍。如果以一整個來說也頗大個呢,但重量應該沒有歐式麵包重。

簡單純樸就是好味道!

20/04/2010, WED繼上次的蘋果裸麥包後,今次又專程來嚐嚐其他麵包了…實在很期待呢!在強逼自己不要再往蘋果包那邊看的情況下,我選了早在上次已經很想嘗試的黑麥提子法包。這個黑麥提子法包Coupe(法文:解作表面的切痕)很美。口感煙煙韌韌,配合灑在面層的一陣麵粉在咀嚼的時候口感有著不能形容的美味。至於麵包內芯鬆軟綿密,QQ的,密度很高亦很濕潤香滑。吃著時整個麵包一直也散發著又濃又帶焦香的麥味,細心品嚐好像是「石烘」那效果似的,真的很愛這種獨特的香氣呢!除了這股焦焦的麥味外,麵包隱約間亦帶有陣陣的可可粉香氣,如沒估計錯誤麵包師傅該有加入微量的無糖可可粉來增添風味。可可那淡淡的苦澀味跟麵包本身的麥味實在配合得淋漓盡致,麵包的食味變得更有深度,沒想到它們會有如此美妙的火花呢!跟我先前嚐過的蘋果包一樣,這個黑麥提子法包也同樣有股我十分之喜歡的肉桂甜香,相信這是來自於麵包內裡既香軟又清甜的提子乾;提子乾亦吃得出是經酒處理過,就連提子乾這樣的細節也做到盡善盡美實在讓像我個麵包狂迷感到好幸福呀!這個麵包外表簡單純樸,但她的內涵實在是有種無法形容的麵包「氣質」呀!我就是喜歡這類型的麵包!一個麵包經已蘊含焦焦的麥味、淡淡的可可苦澀味、提子乾的酒香、肉桂甜香及其本身的自然甜香,而且口感還具備外皮的煙韌、麵包芯的綿密及提子乾的濕潤。無論在味道和口感上都充份展現了豐富的層次感,展現了麵包那樸實的獨特風味。每一口都能吃出上等用料並感受到制造麵包者的血汗及心機,咬著咬著愈是無法停下來呢!愈咬愈好味呀!…Read More

GourmetTT 有時候就是想吃「麵包」的真味,尤其是那麵粉香。坊間很多麵包店都過於注重創新及麵包的外表,忘記「吃麵包就要有麵包的味道」這個根本要求。
