有朋友自遠方歸來,指明想吃上海菜。朋友介紹這間夜上海,本來在OpenRice搜尋過看到其他人的評論不太好,不過看它是米之蓮一星,環境也好像不錯,就即管來試試這間。店內裝潢冠冕堂皇,下樓梯後店員指示我們坐第一張檯,並說明沒有其他檯可以選擇。檯上早已經放了一碗榨菜,以為這是送的頭盤,吃了一兩條,但上菜期間就被悄悄地收走了。結帳的時候才知道是要收費的,榨菜$50,茶水$40⋯⋯可能這是約定俗成的規矩?但我個人認為不太要得,餐廳沒有明碼實價告訴我們榨菜要收取費用,而且早就放在檯上,營造不是收費食物的假象。不然我們早就讓他們直接拿回去,更不會只吃了一兩條就讓他們在沒有詢問過的情況下收走。食物質素正常,不是特別好吃,也不難吃,就一般般。但平心而論,不值米之蓮一星質素。食物吃不完就讓他們幫我們打包,食物盒和袋子都要價$2,兩個盒子一個袋子承惠$6。這個價錢,這個質素,還不斷以其他雜項加收費用⋯⋯不建議光顧。

這個價錢,這個質素,還不斷以其他雜項加收費用⋯⋯不建議光顧。

片皮鴨片皮的技術高超,能片得很薄。皮很脆,包起來吃的時候很有層次感。鴨皮油脂分布很平均,配合面皮來食完全沒有油膩感。

真正皮薄餡靚的小籠包,一口能咬破薄皮,裏面有着滿滿的湯汁。

脆鱔有驚喜,一道不顯眼的前菜,吃下來有一種鬆脆鬆脆的口感。

松子魚時價約$600 對它抱著期望。但結果似炸魚柳加芡汁。

For drinks, we ordered unsweetened soya milk and it really blows our mind. The richness and smoothness of the milk is impressive. We have the classic Shanghainese “小籠包” that oozed bone broth when had a bite. The dough of bun was thin enough to hold the broth while keeping its shape. Such a skill to make these buns.
