星期四晚上8點去到食店發現竟然滿曬都幾出奇入到去都無人招呼我地咁濟隔左好耐先有個人攞menu 比我地睇之後因為望完menu都唔知係乜所以就亂叫左兩樣先叫左依個已經講唔到叫咩名但塊餅係好食既左邊果3款係甜既汁右邊果4款係辣既份量都唔少嫁塊脆餅係跟個咖哩既脆脆地好似食緊零食咁,不過食得多就有啲咸個咖哩叫做芝士白咖哩堅好食雖然個芝士係原粒一粒一粒無溶既但係個咖哩好好食好香香料味無肉食都唔會覺得唔滿足個咖哩好食過某某王總括黎講間野都幾好食係尖沙咀黎講都唔算貴

晚上朋友聚會,朋友是素食者,想試下呢間,於是預約了。今日是星期五,入到去8點鐘,坐位有6成滿、一半是遊客、一半是印度人。呢間除左有中英對照menu外,還有圖片menu,我們憑相憑感覺點左幾樣。- FRIED Momo : 醬汁中辣味道OK、但我覺得餃子皮太厚一般- 如果食得辣,個人推介下面 咖喱薯仔 + 餅,薯仔香料味足、餅也薄薄的好吃- 仲點左長長的薄餅,餅有微甜好吃,三種醬汁都還可以。- 下面呢個係雜果青豆咖喱,本人覺得一般。我另外叫左凍印度奶茶、味道太淡。朋友叫左印度咖啡、又係非常淡。呢間有提供水、但杯子太少,常常要叫職員 RE FILL。最後,我們一行三個人到最尾都有食剩,每個人都十成飽。

先黎野飲。就咁睇相,叫你玩「找不同」的話一定死硬。但好適合同心儀對象,認錯佢果杯黎個間接kiss(誤),當然我只會認錯蘇太果杯。
其實左邊係mango lassi,有點點乳酪酸味,右邊係芒果奶昔。一杯要成$4X,淨睇價錢都知道一定好正(應該)…點知…飲芒果汁卻墮進了愛河,一定一定要試!
注意:此店有奶或乳酪製品(除非是植物奶),但大部份菜色為全素。

青豆菜汁薯仔,純素,完全百答,你用咩點佢都會立即變美味,唯獨未試用黎揸面。
乳酪飯,唔係炸粉絲碎。因為乳酪係另上,所以本身都係純素。係香港食到真印度米,當堂有種時空交錯既感覺。而且香口,非常香口,點唔點乳酪結果都係一樣:好味!

因為比起好味,真係太特別!比10分鍾大家估下係咩味。1、2…好!係薑味!感覺似薑汁撞奶雪糕。舌測下可能有綠豆蓉、薑粒、Nuts碎、香草。必定翻叫之選!

Ordered the Paper Masala Dosa. Waited about 5 minutes the food arrived freshly made. Paper Dosa very crispy and the 3 condiments complimented nicely with the Dosa - all three condiments were spot-on with the amount of spices/seasonings. Having enjoyed half the Dosa with the 3 condiments, the other half I ate with the Potato Masala inside the Dosa cone. The potato was well seasoned again with the right amount of spices.

Enjoyed a light yet flavourful lunch here and Branto has become a regular spot on my Indian food list.

Worst quality food ever. I had been there earlier and the food quality was ok. But the last time we visited was a total nightmare. Ordered Wada and they got it  in 2 minutes. Found that it was stale and they had just heated it in the micro-wave and brought it and it felt like a sponge. The quality of Dosa and Chhola Bhatore was terrible to say the least. Ordered masala tea and the got the worst tea ever. Not to forget the pakoda which was equally bad. Wasted HK$600 in total vain. Absolutely disg

踏入餐廳後,用餐位置很多,當時在用餐的大部分人都是印度人,只有極少數他國臉孔人士在店內用餐,目視華人只有我和我朋友,以及另一桌的兩位西方人,其他通通是印度人士,由於拿了菜單,我看了一眼,完全不知所云,但我看到大家桌上幾乎都有點菜單上圖片的套餐後,我們就決定點一個套餐,以及朋友激推的”雜錦班戟”(台灣會叫→雜錦=什錦、班戟=pancake,所以就是什錦鬆餅),據朋友說鬆餅的基底是馬鈴薯泥加粉做的,所以吃起來有點薯餅的感覺。

(右邊的兩個醬我忘了是啥,不過最後我都搭配著套餐的醬一起吃)

然後套餐的話,是一個大盤子上面有滿滿小碗裝的醬,總共七個碗,一個是優格,一個是甜湯,個人非常推薦優格,很好吃,且不酸,中間五個醬,只有兩種口味可以分辨得出來,一個是蔬菜咖哩另一個是香煎黃豆蓉,然後在正中間那一晚紅紅的醬,是純粹的湯汁沒有料,其他都是有料又濃稠的醬,可是,他比我吃過其他印度料理還讓人覺得親近,因為食物內添加的香料,不會重到讓人吃到越吃越厭煩,算是很清新的印度菜,下方的餅是一塊千層餅,看起來是蔥油餅,但吃起來不是,是玉米粉製作的餅,以及兩片炸物,據朋友說炸物是隨機的,因為我們那天吃的其中一項中間包的是辣椒,超級超級超級辣,還好旁邊有優格和甜湯可以舒緩辣度,套餐中間的米也超級有趣,他一顆米粒就超級長,長到我一度以為是一小截一小截的麵條,吃起來也不錯,不會像泰國米會帶給人家一種不開心的感覺。

套餐同時有附一碗番茄湯,上面漂浮的是幾顆小麵包塊,番茄湯本身是甜的,喝起來很微妙,且湯內容屬於清澈乾淨狀態,因為湯是第一項上來的,所以我把湯喝光光。

最後就是隨餐都會附的餅,我喜歡他的口感,餅本身非常非常薄,大約是宜蘭牛舌餅的兩倍厚度而已,但是餅本身超級脆,跟餅乾沒兩樣,我覺得比有些餅乾吃起來都還來的脆,味道是胡椒味偏重的口味,朋友超愛這個餅。

(脆脆餅以及甜甜番茄湯)

當天我們套餐加上雜錦班戟所花費港幣168(約台幣672元),然後吃 超 飽!!!!最後基本上東西沒有吃乾淨,走出去大街後,才發現原來我們就在大名鼎鼎的重慶大廈旁,可是重慶大廈看起來有被拉皮過,所以外貌跟我印象中不同,個人覺得頗有趣的一間餐廳,一方面他所在的位置有趣,一方面又是無肉適合吃素的朋友來吃的店,以此推薦給大家當去尖沙嘴逛完,想要找清幽又特別的地方時,可以嘗試嘗試的店。

As you can see Branto's menu is quite good, its cheap incomparison with all the other indian restuarant buttttt its also because the portion size is small and the quality seems not that good either. I went to Branto with high hopes after all the good reviews, especially to try the Masala Dosas, but to my dismay i found that the dosa portion was too small, since dosas are known for its big size. I went to Branto with high hopes after all the good reviews, especially to try the Masala Dosas, but to my dismay i found that the dosa portion was too small, since dosas are known for its big size. The taste was quite alright, it could pass for a dosa, but still the potato masala was just so so, i wouldnt miss it and come back for next time.

All in all i feel its worthy to pay a little bit more and get good quality and good size dosa in other restaurants instead of Branto.

To be honest, I marked this restaurant months ago cause I saw from somewhere this is an vegetarian place, but at that time I wasn't a big fan of Indian food, but lately somehow I just fell completely in love.Authentic is the accurate word to describe the whole dining experience in here that's why many Indians come and you can actually learn how to enjoy Indian food by watching them (or peeking at them 😂). Authentic is the accurate word to describe the whole dining experience in here that's why many Indians come and you can actually learn how to enjoy Indian food by watching them (or peeking at them 😂). There were in total 9 dressings, 7 came with the Thali set 2 came with the sides. I believe I spent almost 90mins enjoying every single bite. The spices were exactly what I was looking for, there were hot, creamy, sour, fragrant, buttery and of course the decadent curry with potato, tomato and zucchini. What's magical is the dressings taste better when you eat them with bread than alone, I guess they were designed and cooked for this purpose.

Cause I couldn't stop thinking about coming back, I visited a second time (shortly after the first time) and wanted to try more. So as you can see I had two dippings which they call Punjabi dishes, the red one is spicy with corns, green one is relatively mild and made with peas, only wish I had more bread so I could finish these two. The bread is stuffed with curry potato called Mysore Masala Dosa, which I used for the spread but can also be eaten alone.

There are food that you eat to live, and food you eat to die. There are food that nourish your soul, and food only linger a short while on your palate. Dining is a ritual that you perform three times a day, you should have a little bit attitude, and choose wisely. Indian food to me is soul food, I felt so touched and comforted after each meal, generally very happy and satisfied with the dining here.

Masala Tea (HKD 36)
超好喝,但也不便宜,要HKD36。坦白說,是我在香港的印度餐廳裡,喝過最好喝的Masala Tea之前喝了好幾家要價HKD30+的印度香料奶茶,做得像水一樣。最水的奶茶,是灣仔的新派素食――超水、超失望、超鳥的奶茶,超級爛的奶茶XD。

KULFI 印度雪糕 (HKD 39)

這印度雪糕,特別的地方在於雪糕裡有一種植物香料,吃起來很爽口,我很喜歡。在網路上有看到還有家玫瑰花瓣的雪糕,下次要來嘗試看看。

We've been living out of suitcases for over a month and a half now, hence, more appreciation for the home style food; 

Last time, the husband got chola bhatura (chickpeas curry fried leavened flatbread), which was good. A smaller small sized bhatura but nicely done. And we also got the medu vada (fried lentil dumplings for the lack of being able to explain it better ), Which was great. Perfectly fried, cooked inside, crisp outside. And a very very very nice sambhar - the kind I like, in terms of the taste and the tadka. It did not have as many vegetables as we usually put at Home, put it home run for me

This time, it was vada pav and capsicum paneer masala, also known as kadhai paneer. Both were good, again. The panner sabzi gravy was not the smooth ones like you usually get at the North Indian restaurants, but was more chunky. And With lot garlic, it tasted very good 

The vada pav was not as expected. They served the vadas and the pav breads separately, with a side of sambhar and coconut chutney. It was missing the quintessential dry garlic chutney. And I like green chutney as well with it. The besan ( Chickpea flour batter) layer could have been thicker.
