Istanbul Express is not a fine dining experience and they won't win any awards on decor. It's better identified as a reasonably priced eatery with good portions and consistent quality. The meats are certified Halal if that is important to you.

What I like most about Istanbul Express is the quality of meat. The beef, chicken, fish and lamb selections are always seasoned and cooked perfectly. When is the last time you paid under $100 at lunch for nicely seasoned, tender and juicy lamb? In addition, I like being able to choose from the selection of four available sauces at the table.

Other Info. : ~ I've not been in Turkey, but have the experience ate in Perth, Australia & local shops in TST, when certain middle-east shop provide simular kebabs (some are coating with thick bread & spicy sauce); ~ air-con. maybe return normally when more customers came except my condition ! ~ if it's a kind of fast-food style, service charge should be less !

土耳其式嘅沙律味道確實係唔錯, 因為佢地用嘅沙律醬都好有特色~ 但係飯呢就主要係肉配飯比較多, 多數係雞同羊, 所以我地都係鐘意食烤卷多d, 話晒少食d麻~ 食後覺得呢間同ebeneezer差唔多, 都會輪流食下嘅~

I started off with the classic Turkish salad; which consists of a generous portion of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, lettuce, and blue cabbage topped with a wonderful oil and vinegar dressing and fresh feta cheese. I have eaten at Istanbul Express twice so far and both times the food has been fantastic! I started off with the classic Turkish salad; which consists of a generous portion of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, lettuce, and blue cabbage topped with a wonderful oil and vinegar dressing and fresh feta cheese. As our entries we ordered the chicken donor plate and the Istanbul Beef Donor plate. The Istanbul Beef Plate is piled on a wonderful mixture yogurt and cubes of beard then the entire dish so covered in a delicious tomato based sauce which complements the mixture of the beef and yogurt.
The restaurant is sizable for Wan Chai and the service is friendly and inviting. Several of the servers have very good English speaking skills and go out of their way to make you feel welcome to their restaurant. I plan keep returning here whenever I have a craving for Turkish Cuisine!

6) Beef Kekab rolls are tasty and light, not oily at all and made with the kebab from the skewer not the sad left over from the bottom of the kitchen (once more... unlikely Eabaneezers). Pity they don't serve lamb kebab rolls here
7) Lamacung (another pizza alike stuff with minced lamb) is delicious, served with fresh salad
8) the kebab dishes (several) are really good, abundant and always, again fresh made with fresh ingredients.

Recommended, as the other branches in town.

Lunch for 4. Ordered Iskendar and Chicken Donar, Iskendar Donar arrived with beef pieces drowning in gravy, deep within it's innards were tiny cubed sized soggy pieces of pide (sorry no pictures of this abortion). Disappointed by the pitiful pide pieces, a plain pide was ordered - it should have been better described as a re-toasted burn biscuit. The Chicken Donar was much better and I would have it again - if the Iskendar repulsion force field ever let me set foot again in this restaurant.

After exhitbition we four people went there for a early dinner. Well the service was completely not good. The waitress knows nothing about the turkish food. The turkish boss seems showing himself as a boss standing and not helping at all.About the food, it is very hong kong style. Nothing taste like turkish. About the food, it is very hong kong style. Nothing taste like turkish. (I have benn in turkey) Expensive and cheap materials. Food are very oily aswell. By the way, i can't believe they sales alcohol as they got the halal license. My arab customers are not satisfy about that.

I suggest all people not to go there. It's not worthy to try. Seriously. If you want to have a better kebab, i suggest you to go to Ebeneerzer. So much better!!

是日在灣仔happy hour. 飲完野去左呢道食晚飯,因朋友想食羊肉。友人點了Adana kebab with rice,我就點左個雞Chicken doner with rice個chicken doner其實好似手撕雞扒,味道唔錯,初時以為個飯係普通白飯,食落原來係有味,好味友人話個羊肉超級騷,鍾意食羊個陣味就會鍾意,我冇試因為本人唔想羊。不過友人話味道ok有三枝醬比我地點,紅色個枝好辣,綠色個枝有薄荷味(應該係配羊肉食),白色個枝好重乳酪味!總括都幾滿意,不過就頂唔順佢個電視係度播緊d好leung的80年代的音樂錄影帶!!!

一行3人特登黎呢到食野~叫左一個lamb kabab,一個bbq dish (1人份)一個lamb pizza,我叫左一杯檸檬特飲先個地理位置, 好易搵waiter 好nice 同我地嘻嘻哈哈講笑入正題lamb kabab, 我覺得幾好食 不過要趁熱bbq dish 一個份係大到你唔信~ 佢叫chicken 同lamb都一樣咁好食 好新鮮, d salad 都係好唔錯, 咁佢配左個chip. 我就覺得已經好油..唔係咁想食個lamb pizza 見佢好出名所以叫左個~ 你係切唔開架啦,, 都係搵手拎起食啦~ 我切到手脂斷都未食完一件...呢個檸檬特飲先經典~ 好似 axe咁... 可能 人地國家呢味係好味,,,總括黎講~ 可以一試架不過就真係好油..好油. 小心熱氣

On my last visit, I had their Turkish ice-cream, since then have added another sweet item to their menu.They have added the Baklava to the menu, it costs $42 for three.Baklava (Greek:μπακλαβάς) is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of filo pastry filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey.The size of the Baklava's were about 4cm x 4cm, the appearance looked like ordinary pastries with green pistachio filling in the middle.The top of it was flaky, while the bottom layer was chewy

The top of it was flaky, while the bottom layer was chewy, sticky and oozed with syrup.

In the middle there was moist grounded pistachios that was not sweet.

But overall, it was very sweet from the syrup soaked bottom layer.

If it were less sweet I would have liked it more or if there was cream to go with it.
For $42 it was slightly expensive considering it was just puff pastry, pistachio and syrup.
