這是我第一次寫食評, 但不寫不得, 以告誡各位!如其他食評, 佢地會自動送上每人$20沙律前菜, 但佢地都有寫明如果唔要, 請早揚聲, 這點我可以接受。一去到, 叫左5罐可樂, 見個 侍應(一名阿伯) 係枱後面鬼鬼崇崇準備開晒5罐可樂, 但其中兩罐係 coke zero (可能佢為客人健康好, 不得而知) 之後禮貌告之我地要普通可樂(佢可能隻耳聽唔到) 嗱嗱聲開左罐coke zero.  之後話只有這些雪涷左。最後只好要了。問題是為什麼不要先問人呢? 為什麼做d鬼崇嘢呢?! 食串燒牛舌, 肉質普通, 不會太乾, 想問佢地要d介辣, 今次輪到個女侍應"黑面" ?? !!燒白鱔, 肉質彈牙, 新鮮, 合口味....豬鞍架, 有肉汁, 嫩滑, 不錯...食品水準ok, 但以咁既價錢, 是應該有的水準但最離普又係服務....想要一個匙羹食白飯,個阿伯玩野問: "你要鐡羹, 膠羹定木羹?!?!?"- 明顯對客人無禮及有玩弄客人之嫌!!! 但總之服務就係差極! 前所未有之差!小心!!!!總結 : 廚師ok, 待應不合格!! 令人不怏!!

但最離普又係服務....想要一個匙羹食白飯,個阿伯玩野問: "你要鐡羹, 膠羹定木羹?!?!?"- 明顯對客人無禮及有玩弄客人之嫌!!! 

但總之服務就係差極! 前所未有之差!小心!!!!

總結 : 廚師ok, 待應不合格!! 令人不怏!!

舖頭細細,得幾張細枱同bar枱,週末午市好快滿座。廚房接近用饍區,好在油煙味不大。 午市套餐抵食,七十五蚊有串燒拼盆有前菜有飯有麵豉湯有凍檸檬綠茶。另外叫咗燒鯖魚定食,六十八。 前菜係撈咗甜醬嘅魚仔,甜甜地又香口,幾好味。麵豉湯正常水準。檸檬綠茶味淡到似有味水,但食完熱氣嘅串燒飲又唔錯。 主角串燒水準合格,肉同魚燒完香口又唔乾身,魚亦無腥味,只嫌鹽落得略重手。 無論價錢同水準都屬合理水平,難怪得到街坊支持。

在復活節假期光顧了他們的三文魚魚生定食($68,不加一),面豉湯和沙拉不錯,冷飲酸酸甜甜的很開胃,三文魚魚生飯很大碗,有三種不同的切法:魚蓉加蔥、角切和厚切,都沒味,很新鮮,魚鋪在紫蘇葉上,很漂亮,還有美味甜玉子,很用心,服務也到位,相比臨近的西餐廳多是$98一個set lunch,算很值得了。

This Japanese restaurant has been in the area for nearly 6 years. At lunch it caters to students seeking a fixed price set lunch and it's more a mad house in this tiny establishment (handful of tables and acceptable setting, it's not fast food, more of a casual eatery) Sai Ying Pun has been changing with more Westerners (and other foreigners) and this restaurant is changing with it.

We dined here on very slow Monday night (typical for all HK restaurants) and had great service and we were initially the only patrons in the restaurant. Their happy hour is until 8 pm and includes Japanese beer and various yakitori. Complementary edamame beans are served.

Our first dish was an assorted sushi platter that was nicely presented with fresh fish. Wasn't the BEST sushi in the world, but quite reasonable.


We then went thru the assortment of yakitori skewers including various chicken, pork, scallops and vegetables. All were of good quality and very tasty. We particularly liked the chicken skins which were nicely presented, crispy with a very slight glaze and just the right amount of flake salt. All are recommended.


We ordered cold soba noodles with a nice tea sauce slightly flavored with wasbi and soy. The noodles were attractively presented and very tasty.


A special bar dish of roasted Japanese ginkgo beans, roasted and served on a salt bed were on offer. These were Japanese quality and fairly expensive, however the manager commented on the much improved taste over Chinese variants, which often have a bitter taste.


Special of the night were "Japanese tacos" served in a soft flour tortilla, it had a spicy mixture of ground pork/beef with shredded cabbage and carrot. The perfect bar food, inexpensive, hot and the right amount of spice. Excellent!


The restaurant has a good variety of vegetarian offers and as it was a "slow" night, the manager prepared a special vegetable roll for us, very tasty with roasted veggies and some crunchy cold veggies for that perfect snap. We also had salmon rice rolls sans the salmon and these had a nice citrus sauce.

SUMMARY
This is a good neighborhood joint in an area of improving restaurants!

Came here to fill time before dinner. Had the Yamato pork with leeks and the Yamato pork with Shiso leaf. Also had the chicken wings with cheese and quail eggs. Food was average at best. Yamato pork was probably best amongst these 4 dishes. The chicken wing didn't have enough cheese taste.

微雨。趁上HKU之前, 駛經高街見有錶位便泊下靚仔,四處看看lunch choice。見福炉端燒と牡蠣有lunch set又有位,便入去一試。店內以木器為主,感覺自然舒服,又有日本民間居酒屋的懷舊情懷。Menu提供較具特色的lunch set,包括串燒。各lunch set包括: 蟹肉沙律、麵豉湯、飯、飲品。那杯指定飲品是由店安排的,沒有選擇,但像梅子般有些微酸,很cool好解渴,適合summer! 真想知是甚麼。我叫的串燒lunch set中,雞軟骨最好味,又夠脆,又不太油;雞翼脆口又香,比較乾身;冬菇肥厚,燒得啱啱好,好好食;豆卜比較難食又冇味;至於大蔥豚肉就比較不好味。Honey的燒牛排,細細份不打緊,但比較難咬開,比較多筋但最啱我口味。整體氣氛不錯又寫意,服務良好。可以再來!

We arrived at around 12pm. Pretty early, so we managed to get seats immediately. Anytime after 12:45pm - beware. Students will swarm in and it'll be difficult to find a quiet space for lunch. Must say that this is a really good lunch deal for what you're paying. <$35 for a lunch set, which includes a small green salad, miso soup, a slightly sweet&sour drink, and the mains. Must say that this is a really good lunch deal for what you're paying.
<$35 for a lunch set, which includes a small green salad, miso soup, a slightly sweet&sour drink, and the mains.
None of these items are particularly tasty, but I finished the salad anyway. At least it didn't taste bad. I never liked miso soup. No comment on the drink.

Grilled chicken rice
The rice is good old japanese pearl rice, plump and chewy, just how I like it.
Grilled chicken was very tender, there wasn't much fat, the skin was paperthin - you wouldn't worry of having eaten too much hormone-infused chicken skin. The skin was thin and crisp- not sure how they did it, coz the skin wasn't charred either! There was a bit of sauce to go with the chicken. Could've asked for more. It was a yummy combination


Grilled eel rice
Personally I think this dish was even tastier than my chicken. I'm not a big fan of eel but this had no fishiness to it, was marinated well, and the sauce (et with the rice) was excellent. Next time I come, I'll be ordering eel rice.

Service:
Careless and rushed. We were not allowed to eat in peace. The shopkeeper was eager to see his 12pm customers off so that he could accommodate the secondary school students. Heh. Oh well. You can't expect too much.

是日中午, 又去了西環同公司辦事, 事成, 當然又是食食食 (lunch time 嘛). 電車路兩旁沒有什麼特別吸引, 最後慢慢行上山, 看看街市那頭有什麼新發現. 行到街市頂高街, 滿是那些半山名校的學生, 而且食肆林立. 其中一間, serve 著爐端燒. 而且lunch 一個燒雞扒定食, 都只是 $28 再加一. 行到熱熱地, 都係不再搵了. 就這裡試下吧. 看了KC同惡男兄的食評, 原來晚上的水準是不錯的, 不過, 是否中午要就一就主要客源 (Student), 同附近的打工仔. 所以我俾既分數, 應該差天共地. 先說服務, 店子分上下層, 滿是學生. 店員就好亂, 唔計即叫即燒的扒, 出湯同魚生, 一樣亂.....有一檯, 各位同學都食飽了, 剩下一個傻仔.....俾同學拋棄....因為餐未來.....兩位OL等到投訴要走, 才有她們的美食來. 相信此餐廳既lunch time 已經不是第一次俾學生圍剿, 點解會冇做好準備呢....湯, 普通的麵豉湯, 沒什麼大不了, 好就好在不太咸. 魚生......這是什麼三文魚.....紅成咁既. 因為肚餓, 雖然怪怪地, 食左先算.

湯, 普通的麵豉湯, 沒什麼大不了, 好就好在不太咸. 魚生......這是什麼三文魚.....紅成咁既. 因為肚餓, 雖然怪怪地, 食左先算.....幸好回到公司回到家, 沒有肚痛.

幸好我的雞扒飯沒有Delay, 照燒汁雞扒, 汁是雞扒燒好切好才淋上去的. 這不介意, 雞扒, 皮脆是ok的, 不入味, 是不ok的. 是否中午做學生餐便求其d呢.......個定食令我失望了.....而且lunch一人又食唔到太多....

可惜!!!

This shop is very expensive, you could not believe they could charge this price in that area.We spend top money , but we don't get what we expected. That's why, we are the only customer on that night. We ordered the set dinner menu, only the scope is nice & fresh.The ox tongue was good, very juicy.The chicken wings was dead dry.The udon was over cooked.Before you go there, either save some money or eat something else b4 u go there, because no way it will fill u up.

首先是$240有8只的日本Sendai Oyster~日本除了已经移植美国的熊本蚝kumamoto之外,原来仙台的三陆蚝也很出名~而这家炉端烧竟然吃法都相当的地道~开好的生蚝上面放了葱花和酸橘味的萝卜泥吃起来别有风味~还可以附加一种酸酸的juice哦~我一直都非常不喜欢别人用番茄酱来吃生蚝~我们点了四只生,四只五成炭烧熟~一级棒~本来现在夏季,应该是澳洲蚝比较丰满圆润,没想到这些空运到港的日本蚝也那么新鲜,juicy~一口咬下蚝心(圆头位置),甜味立即充满整个口腔和酸橘萝卜泥融合在一起,无与伦比的味觉享受~接着海鲜的鲜味浮出来了,配合着一点海水的咸当以四十五度角把汁——海水连带着蚝扫进口腔里那种柔滑和裙边的弹牙结合得天衣无缝~而炭烧蚝,店家建议五成熟就好~事实证明也很棒~只是海洋的感觉比生蚝还是稍微逊色一点~老实说,一开始确实没有expect在夏季也能吃到那么棒的蚝~接着我们还尝试了店里很特别的炉端烧~盐烧白鳝~白鳝是自从我上次和大家姐还有高小姐在火井火锅吃过后觉得是鳝类里最爽口的~这次也不例外~炙烤的热度配合着爽脆的白鳝肉在口中,顿时齿颊留香~虽然不知道牛脷是否同样是仙台出名的牛脷~

吃过后觉得是鳝类里最爽口的~这次也不例外~
炙烤的热度配合着爽脆的白鳝肉在口中,顿时齿颊留香~

虽然不知道牛脷是否同样是仙台出名的牛脷~
仙台料理的牛脷非常出名~这次我们尝的也是盐烧~
相当脆,味道也不太咸~下酒最好~

在日本炉端烧7小店,我们当然找不到chablis或者是montrachet
又或者是moet & Chardon 的干白来配蚝~
但是冰镇的sake还是很让人心满意足的~
这是店家推荐的比濑祭还要好的春香彩吟米釀~相当好喝~
炉端烧还有蚝都很配~而且酒香很足~入口不呛,甜甜地入了胃暖洋洋地散开~

还有一道菜很特别,鹅肝釀鸡翅~
九龙城有糯米釀鸡翅,这里用了鹅肝`哇塞~!
从来不知道鹅肝的味道和鸡肉可以那么和谐地共存!
鸡肉嫩得难以置信~而且炙烤的程度恰到好处~
这家店货真价实地让我们惊喜三重天~

單尾有個稻庭手打烏冬,醬油湯底,未見特別。甜品是雪糕加酒煮草莓,端來時雪糕已開始溶化。
吃完了,埋單三百六十元,同伴說去吃放題更好(中上環有好幾間水準不錯的,稍後另文介紹)。
這也是我的結論。
