With Hong Kong shut down by a T10 storm for most of the day, I was in trouble as I had a large family gathering originally planned for Thomas & T's. When we called Thomas with our issue, he said, "no problem, we will come to your house to serve." Flabbergasted by the offer, of course I said yes. Not only did Thomas & Team do a wonderful job preparing the food in our kitchen, but my entire family of 18 was blown away by their perseverance amongst this storm. Amazing food and wine pairing - they catered to my family's pickier eaters, and the kids preferences as well. When my brother in law said he didn't eat fish, Thomas loaded him up with wagyu beef. The uni hand rolls were exploding with uni! Chicken Meatballs with mushroom were so freshly made and loaded on crunchy mushrooms pieces. Too many dishes to describe. Once again we were blown away by Thomas and teams latest menu. My wife and I are definitely picky eaters and we are always pleasantly surprised by Thomas. The excellent service by his team is the frosting on the top. Keep it up Thomas and Team! Rated a top restaurant to try in 2023, certainly came in with expectations. Walked away unsatisfied, hungry and feeling exploited. We started off with the mussels pain perdu. That was ok. The second dish was scallops, also ok. The charred squid was like KFC coleslaw. The Japanese cod, as a main for HKD388, was both limited in portion and imagination. The beef short rib tastes like Cafe Coral's steak and sized for a 6 year old. The glass of white wine was my highlight. A regular date night with the missus where we drove thirty minutes out to Sai Kung turned into an excellent event primed by the wonderful dining experience at 2084. A first look at the menu made me question "is this all really vegan?" When the waiter responded a resounding yes, my wife and I proceeded to order all the house specials. When we ordered five dishes the waiter was asking us if we want to cancel one selection, to which we responded, we will finish it all. Glad we stuck to the 5 selections as they all were excellent. Dined here with a friend to introduce him to vegan dining. We were both surprised. Food was good. Decor was unique. The soup (corn and wintermelon) was very refreshing. I had the truffle pasta with vegan cheese. A very filling plate, completely topped with truffle (my favorite) and the vegan cheese was some of the better vegan cheese over tried. Dined here most recently with the missus. We are both newly vegan so was looking to try out a "fine dining" experience for the vegan. Quite a disappointment. Only the tasting menu was available, which we understood as the HK dining scene has been hard hit. Good attempt at plating for sure but the taste was just a disappointment. Found this restaurant with my wife and have since been back a few times with colleagues. Great value and food is amazing. Better than the indian restaurants at Chung King Mansion and cleaner too! We will be regulars here. We had 3 curries, biryani rice, and two mango lassis. …查看更多
