Ordered vermicelli noodles with beef balls, beef ribs and oxtail (牛丸，牛肋條，牛尾 越南米粉) as well as a rice paper roll with prawn and mango (香芒蝦仁米紙卷)1. Noodles- soup was on the salty side - noodles were all stuck together at bottom of bowl when it came so took some time to loosen it. Decent portion but texture wasn't that great (i.e. too soft) - beef balls not bad- beef ribs and oxtail very dry and rough meat 2. Rice paper roll- large size, but thats only because there was a lot of vermicelli stuffed inside (a bit too much in my opinion). This is 懐石料理 kaiseki ?!!!! .Overall experience is certainly NOT what I would consider kaiseki - "a type of art form that balances the taste, texture, appearance, and colors of food." (Wiki) .Lunch was $680 + 10% service charge per person. The food tasted mediocre, and presentation was poor (not appealing) in my opinion. Photos below for your own judgment. .1. Black sesame tofu with crab meat. I enjoyed the black sesame tofu the most out of the entire meal. 2. This was essentially steamed egg topped with pasta sauce, which covered all of the egg flavour. Felt like I was just eating pasta sauce. Did not like it. 3. Sashimi - average4. Deep fried shrimp taro root and chestnut. I liked it, but again, not very appetizing especially to be called kaiseki. 5. Grilled golden threadfin bream. Tastes average, but nothing special and doesn't look appealing to me. 6. Chicken and mushroom rice. Rice was ok, but nothing special really. I'd describe it as japanese style 北菇雞飯7. Probably the worst thai restaurant I've ever had in HK. Here's what I had in the order it came: (1) Baked curry seafood in bread . 咖喱海鮮脆包盅 - the "seafood" is only 2 pieces of mussels, total rip off. - Bread was not good - Flavour was mediocre (2) Stir fried claims with chili paste . 辣椒膏炒蜆 - Lotssss of sand in the small clams - The appearance looked like it was fried in satay instead of chili paste- Taste was bad, didn't even finish it (3) Tom yum kung . 冬陰功湯- Finally sth that is normal (4) stir fried baby cabbage with salted pork . 鹹肉椰菜苗- Surprisingly not good- Such a basic dish to make, yet the baby cabbage was in big chunks and didn't look fresh and also not cooked well. --- will NOT visit again --- …查看更多

Quality went totally downhill since the last time i came. First time so desperate to look for something good that I even had dim sum and congee for a tea buffet. Ordered a "fatty stewed beef brisket with noodle" with vegetable  (坑腩河 + 芥蘭) as a set for $38+4 (for 坑腩).  The food came and the presentation was average like any other 茶餐廳. The portions were ok. Total was $47/person. Price is slightly above average, but not too expensive I guess. The brisket was alright, not bad, too much fat for my liking though. Special? Not to me.Environment was quite dirty with pieces of food on the floor. Table was quite oily. Not spacious.Service was terrible . Rip off. Overpriced with poor quality food. Ordered seafood noodles and korean sushi. The noodles were like shanghai noodles, very few and cheap seafood ingredients (those instant packs from supermarket). Its like what u make at home, not restaurant-quality stuff. $98 too! Totally not worth it. The korean sushi ($75) isnt like the typical kimbap i've had. Theres only one ingredient in each roll. Chose dried shrimp for one and dried fish for another. There was hardly any ingredients in both. I had a piece where there was only one pinky fingernail-sized shrimp.  (The roll was 3-fingers thick). Used to like this place cuz they had good kimchi. Extremely bad. Ordered a pizza and pasta.BBQ chicken pizza - apparently their signature. the dough was terrible (ridiculous to chew). Hardly any ingredients on the pizza. 20% was just plain dough. Spicy seafood fettucine (tomato base) - overall was VERY BAD. not spicy at all. Fettucine was powdery. Always enjoyed the sushi from this place (even though it focuses more on BBQ). Came here with family this time and tried different things. Overall it wasn't superb as it was anymore, but still good. Just hope their standard won't decrease even further. Appetizer - egg rolls. 雞泡魚乾- nice Sushi platter- don't know whether I ordered the wrong thing, or they changed the dish. Wasn't really what I was expecting. - It was alright, but not as good as it was before. Always seen this place with long line ups, so went early to wait for it to open (6pm). There were still quite a few people waiting with me, and by the time I finished there was a line up outside. 「木」- 白松露野菌湯拉麵 ($108)- very rich soup. - noodles was average, thin- NOT worth the price though. 火炙叉燒 ($23) & 糖心蛋 ($15)- the 火炙叉燒 was better than the one in the soup. The slight burn melted a bit of the pork fat and increased its flavour- the 糖心蛋 was DELICIOUS !! The egg white was cooked with a slight soy sauce flavour, and the yolk was raw. Worth a try. This is the only ramen place (that I've tried) that can be compared to 豚王 (Butao Ramen). But I prefer Butao's variety. The environment was quite nice (very Japanese feel) and not as squished as Butao. Both places use a very rich pork bone soup base, and the noodles are similar. indeed they have beautiful "looking" cakes, but taste is just average and way too overpriced ($50/cake) especially when the cakes are so small too. This place has very artistic cake designs and a lot of effort was put into the packaging. But since i'm more focused on the taste, i think its definitely NOT worth it. Sugar Free Double Choc a L'Orange - double chocolate mousse with hints of orange flavour- this was alright, not too sweet. Memoirs of a Geisha- red bean creme with lady fingers. - taste was not bad, but not too outstanding. been hearing news about how good this place is and how many people line up, so decided to try with friends. waited for about 45 minutes. had quite high expectations.. unfortunately, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. would never come again because it's just simply NOT good. total waste of time and money. and one bowl of noodles isn't even filling at all.. i'd rather to go Butao or Daruma.. at least i actually feel very full from having their noodles, not to mention it actually tastes good. i can get much better quality and quantity elsewhere. soup - chunks of fat floating on top of the soup. not very appealing.. flavour - average. nothing specialnoodle - extremely thin, not my type of noodlepork - very dry. not tender enough. bad!dumplings - nothing special…查看更多
