I have been to Padstow three times and there was a very obvious drop in quality this time. We ordered 3 things, crab cake, steak and stout pie and mussels.The crab cake at over 80 dollars for one portion was very disappointing. It was not moorish like a normal crab cake. From memory it was probably the worst crab cake I have had and I was really looking forward to it. The steak and stout pie was alright. It was a decent pie but the chunky fries that came with the meal were so over-fried it was unappetising dark colour and very dry. The mussels were simply not fresh or of bad quality. We only had half of the portion as it just tasted very bad. The chunky fries that came were once again overdone. Very amateur. I would not come again. …查看更多

We came for lunch and ordered Yellow Curry with Lemongrass pork chop and Pork Neck rice. The pork neck was average and rice was very dry so it was hard to eat. The Lemongrass pork chop had an ok flavour but it was cold. The curry came in a small shallow bowl and was clearly not enough for the meal. Some other curries come with the meat inside the small bowl so there would probably be only 3-4 small pieces of meat along with curry.I asked for more curry sauce to finish the very dry meal but they refused and said they make the sauce from fresh which is obviously untrue and they just did not want to reheat the curry. So I had to finish the cold pork chop and half the rice without any sauce. Service was fine and attentive, however the quality of the food was very bad. The cost of each dish is grossly overpriced and even with 50% discount the price is still some 30-50 dollars overpriced. We tried 3 dishes and all of them were unsatisfactory. We tried a ravioli which was only slightly warm and rather tasteless. The pasta in the lasagne was too soft and when the fish came it lost its form and looked a soggy mess. Taste was only so so. Next we tried pan fried seafood which in the end come out to be a deep fried dish. The prawns were not fresh and only the squid was ok. We could of used a similar amount of money for a better mid range Italian with much better quality. Went during tea set time and ordered chicken wings set and cold noodle set. It was a busy period and service was not attentive. The cold noodles came and were hard and inedible. We told the server and the said they would redo it softer. After more than 20 mins, the chicken wings set came and were NOT FULLY COOKED it was pink in a lot of places. We told the server we didn’t have time to wait for it to be redone and she said she would cancel it from the bill. The cold noodles came and once again were hard and not cooked fully. We decided to just go as there was no point eating something which tasted so bad and was hard to swallow. When we went to pay they did indeed cancel the chicken wings but charged us full price for the free drink that came with set (which in the end was about 2/3 of the set price) This is unacceptable. They wasted our time and served us undercooked chicken wings and they still charged us for the drink. They should be apologizing for serving food that wasn’t cooked properly. Food was barely edible, service and environment was terrible. It was the type of food you immediately regret, where you worry about the cleanliness, the low quality food that makes you mad.We ordered the chicken burger and Wagyu burger. Both were very stale and overly crispy bun. It was very difficult to eat the burger with the bun. The greens and tomato were cold, the chicken was dry and the Wagyu burger had no taste at all. It also had an extra ingredient - a piece of string. The burgers come with a side of overly cooked chips. Basically nothing was good about this meal and we left without finishing our meal. Quite disappointed as was looking forward to an upgrade on the individual hot pot experience you get from your local fast food chain. Quite frankly, the hotpot sets you can find at your fast food chain are better in terms of taste, range of ingredients and obviously price. The soup taste was nothing special (we tried House and Spicy Beef), but it was the range and quality of the ingredients which was underwhelming. We actually came to this restaurant with a big discount but we still feel it was overpriced. Would not return even with a 50% discount. …查看更多

FOOD - We the Meat Lover’s Pizza and Lasagne. Quite simply both were disappointing but the lasagne wins the award for worst lasagne I have ever tried. The pasta was tasteless, I could see the very thin layer of pasta and meat sauce but could not taste it. All I could taste was the 50% cheese. Every mouthful I could just taste cheese. The lasagne was just about 2 and a half inches high so it was just a very sub-standard dish with no authenticity and generous layers of pasta. The dish was HKD80 which was equivalent to an 8 inch pizza. I do not think it even deserves HKD40 it was so bad. 2/10The Meat Lover’s Pizza was prepared fresh and it come out piping hot. The bread felt like naan bread though and for some reason they used chicken tikka which made it feel like I was eating something else. Maybe another pizza would have tasted better. 5/10 SERVICE - The customer facing staff are not very friendly. Pizzerias are supposed to be friendly and hospitable, they look like they couldn’t care less about your business. They need to change their attitude and smile a bit more. VERDICT - When a pizza place offers Indian food then you are gambling with your money. We lost with the choices we made as it was just a very terrible lasagne and average pizza . -FOODFood was very underwhelming. The boneless chicken which is supposedly a signature dish was the worst Korean fried chicken I have had. There was so much excess/unnecessary batter on the chicken - it was almost 50% chicken 50% batter. The description of chicken says it has 12 secret ingredients that make the taste, I would have settled for just 1 or 2 ingredients that actually gave it some taste as it was incredibly bland. The sauce that accompanies the chicken was a curry sauce which didn’t really help with the taste. The beef bibimbap was average. All mixed together, none of the ingredients stand all. All you are eating is the gochujang sauce - which the dish needs to have any real taste. The best was the supreme Fries. I would order this again. Came to this burger place today, quite underwhelmed by its burger. It's called Seafood Stand and they specialize in burgers so went for the Lobster -Scallop Commander Burger. After getting the burger the term 'photos are for reference only' really applies I think. More so with their seafood where you can see with the pic there is a very small piece of lobster and 2-3 pieces of scallop. It doesn't fill out the burger so you are left with quite an empty burger which means an empty feeling inside. You can hardly taste the lobster in the grand scheme of things because it is so small. You are much better of getting a beef burger or chicken burger. Just stay away from the seafood as you won't get your money's worth. Would not return. …查看更多

OVERALLThis restaurant is has a very very limited range of average sushi and sashimi. It is a small restaurant, dark and not very tidy. It is quiet as it has no atmosphere. Servers are attentive but service is very slow. There is only one sushi master but he seems quite incompetent. Would not return. THE FOODThe quality of the sashimi is fresh but the amount is so small that it seems an absolute rip-off. There are major inconsistencies with the sashimi scallop, when the dish came it look like a quarter of the size you can see from a previous diner's photo. When we asked why it why so much smaller the server explained it was the way it was cut. That is ridiculous explanation, it was incredibly obvious they were two different types of scallops. This restaurant probably ran out of the big scallops and used a small scallop but still charged 38 dollars for four pieces of scallop the size of a 50 cents HKD coin. You do not expect a sashimi scallop to be so much smaller compared to a scallop sushi. For example one seared scallop at Genki Sushi is 17 dollars and it was bigger than 38 dollar dish. Very dishonest.We also ordered their signature sushi roll with they describe has a lot of different ingredients. Avocado, seaweed, prawn, cucumber, fish roe etc. It tasted exactly the same as a normal fried shrimp roll but cost 3 times as much. The sushi was not prepared well and would fall apart very easily. I think the sushi master is not really at the level where he should be making sushi and really needs more training.
