I have been here twice and each time was pleasantly surprised. I have to say that this is truly a hidden gem in TST. The chef is able to adapt to all food preferences and allergies and the food still has great flavours and consistency. Simply tell the staff about anything you can and can't eat and they'll be able to suggest what to order or adapt what you like. Up until recently it was a meatless menu but they have introduced a meat menu. It is slightly hard to find due to the lack of signage on the building but it's worth it. Allow for sufficient time to enjoy each course. Don't expect it to be a quick meal as all dishes are cooked fresh and to order. I had dinner at this small eatery with my husband and 2 year old daughter. Its a small space that could seat 16 people at the low seating area, another 4-6 at high seating and perahps 4 at the bar. Although if it was at capacity it would not be a nice environment. My husband and I both ordered a salad which was between $55-65, but the portion was small. They did warn us about this, but we thought we would wait and see before ordering anything further. Once we saw the salads we knew we would need to eat more. He ordered a pasta and i ordered the mushroom risotto. The pesto pasta again was small but suffice considering we both were not very hungry and the risotto was a bit too watery but still had a good taste. On a Sunday night there are not many western options in this area, and so i might go back for this reason, but if there was another option i would probably opt for that. The staff were friendly and rather quick to respond, but there did happen to be a smell coming from the bathroom that many patrons noticed and refused to sit but the low table closest to the bathroom. Great cafe that has various non-dairy options for your coffee and smoothies with plenty of boosters to be added. Options such as Kefir, Chia, Flax and hemp seed are not things that you see in your everyday cafe or juice bar.The coffee has been good too. Consistent taste and great barista. Check out the Barista special, which at the moment is a hand drip. Was the best hand drip that i've ever tasted. Completed different to the taste that you would expect and well worth a try. In fact compare the coffee done as an espresso and you can really notice the difference. Dont be afraid to talk to Sam the Barista too, he's a wealth of knowledge.Still in soft opening so can't wait till the full menu is up and running, but what i did try was good. They also had some gluten free muffins and said that once they are fully open will have many more gluten free options.
