Having heard of this tempura place for awhile, I have always wanted to try it since there are not many good tempura restaurants that i know of in HK. I arrived on time for a birthday dinner and the moment I set foot in the place, I knew something was off....can't explain it but just that feeling that it was all hype and not too much substance kinda feeling....Anyways, I was not greeted by the door and when the waitress turned around she looked at me with a blank stare after I said I had a reservation, maybe my voice was too soft but man....there was only 2 seats left at the bar table and anyone with any sense will know that was my reservation. After being seated, no one came with the menus, i had to ask for the sake menu and i admit, my wife was 15mins late to arrive but after dropping the drink and menu next to me the waitress came back after 5 mins asking where my friend was and asked me to ask where my friend was, man.....for the prices you charge, why is your staff rushing and ASKING your customer to rush their guests?! Is there somewhere she needs to be? It was only 745pm, 15mins after I sat down, then she started to explain the menu (only 2 selections) and normally good wait staff will upsell the more expensive menu, but she was like, oh the better menu has a lot of items, so i recommend the cheaper one that has less items, and she said this twice......i know i came in a t-shirt and sneakers but why would she say that, and why the rush? Is it because the more expensive menu requires more time to consume and prepare, hence taking longer for us to leave?! Anyways, my wife arrived and the waitress immediately came over and said and i quote "Finally we can quickly begin"...I'm like  r u serious, where's the fire! The rest of the service was totally rushed and felt that they all wanted to go home, well if you guys keep this up then you may just get what you want! To be fair, the food was ok, not the best but not bad for HK, but at this price range, i expect the service to be at least at par. Also, to top it off, i requested a small happy birthday message with the dessert, but of course it didnt happen, I booked through their own website and put in the request as well. I dont mind if they cannot accommodate the request but there was neither an email reply, phone call, nor mention of it when I was on location. Sorry for babbling on but I rate service at this place a miserable FAIL and for the owners, please improve and do something about it.…查看更多
