Went to Catch today for dinner. I'll be honest and say thay the meal started off quite well with the appetisers of clams and chicken liver pate being very enjoyable. However, should have ended my meal there.Partner and I both ordered their "48 hour braised beef brisket" which we were pretty sure wasn't braised, and definitely not for 48 hours. Seemed like they just seared it off in a pan on overly high heat. Honestly not sure if it was even meat 😅 The beef was tough as rubber and tasteless. Also pricey at $268. Voiced my comments to a waiter as I was having trouble cutting into it. She said "oh sorry" and came back with a steak knife and recommended me to use that instead.Anyhow, I've been to Catch before and those time were good. This experience might discourage me from a repeat visit though. Should add that the restaurant refunded us a serving of the brisket (we ordered 2) which was a good after thought and appreciated on our end. …查看更多

Made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday which was confirmed by email. We wanted to dine at 7.30 but was advised by the staff that they had a seating at 6.45. This was fine but when we turned up at the restaurant the door was shuttered and numerous calls to the establishment bounced right to voicemail. I was accepting that maybe I had made a mistake in my reservation but the precense of two other dinner parties outside the door, both also slotted in for 6.45, proved me otherwise. Understand if there were some operational issues but a courtesy call would have been appropriate at a minimum. Unprofessional. …查看更多
