Great to be back at Le Jardin a Soho, this time to try their new brunch menu.I had their Australian Grass Fed Ribeye Steak, Eggs and Fries ($368 + $80). Was a top combo and the ribeye steak at medium rare was so juicy and tender. Gravy went really well with the ribeye and the sunny side egg and fries were great too.As part of the brunch you also get to enjoy their starter platter of:- Chargrilled Calamaris and Kumamoto Cherry Tomatoes- Potato Salad and Crispy Parma Ham- Uni Beef Tartare Chinese Donut- Japanese Oyster TempuraAll the starters were so flavorsome and great quality. Difficult to choose what I thought was the best out of the starters but probably the Beef Tartare.Overall a top brunch at Le Jardin a Soho and for all you get, very good value. Went to Fung Shing 1954 in Kowloon Bay, MegaBox for a great traditional Chinese banquet @fungshing1954On the menu was:- Glass Carp with Choi Sum- Prawn on Toast- Fried Crab Claws- Minced Pigeon Meat and Lettuce- Pig Shaped Barbecue Pork Bun- Turtle Shaped Red Bean Bun- Sharp Fin Dumpling Soup- Fish Soup- Crab- Sago Custard Pudding- Aparagus with Salted Egg- Bamboo skin wrapped lobster meat- Prawn Spring Rolls- Fried Crispy Battered Squid- Glass Carp SashimiMy favorites were the Glass Carp with Choi Sum with lovely pieces of carp, as well as the prawn on toast with juicy prawns. The fried crab claws were also jam packed with crab meat. The prawn spring rolls and lobster bamboo skin wrapped rolls were delicious too🤤The dim sum pig shaped barbecue pork bun was very cute and yum, as well as the cute turtle shaped red bean bun😋The sago custard pudding was so unique, never tried it before and such nice textures and string sweet custard flavor. The fish soup was so strong and fragrant👍Overall a top Chinese banquet with all the dishes full of quality. Great trying out Nadagogo a Japanese izakaya that opened in Wan Chai a year ago.I had their Hokkaido Seafood on Rice Bowl Set ($268). Nicely presented with a great range of fresh tasty cuts of sashimi. Rice was fragrant as well, and the chawanmushi was very moist and flavorsome. Nice miso soup and sauteed vegetables to go with the set.Overall a very nice quality and filling Japanese lunch set. For our main we had their Shrimply Good ($145) which was a lovely creamy pasta with shrimp paste, dry shrimp, fried tofu skin and sous vide egg. A very flavorsome combination with nice al dente cooked pasta.For our sides, we had their Spanish Omelette ($115). Very big,and delightfully eggy, with onions, potatoes and cheese. Really enjoyed but with the melted cheese inside to give it the chewy cheesiness.Also had their Smoked Salmon and Spinach Quesadilla ($138) salmon and spinach was a guaranteed good combo, and nice quesadilla slightly chewy bread, with an extra kick to the taste with the Mozzarella Cheese, Cheddar Cheese and Guacamole.Finally for dessert, had their Apple Bunuelos with Ice Cream ($108). Never had this dessert before, but was nice, with its caramelized crispy tortilla on the outside, and apple cinnamon filling, as well as chopped apples and ice cream. A very beastly dessert.For drinks, we had their cool looking Cocktails with the Peachy Iced Tea ($60) which had a fragrant peach flavor and Beetroot Kombucha Soda ($60) which looked nice and beetroot flavor at the bottom was very strong.Overall enjoyed the tasty range of Mexican cuisine, and chilled out eating place. 7.5 out of 10!…查看更多

Thanks to Royal Inn in Causeway Bay for inviting me for a tasting at their restaurant. Very fancy not just with their food but as soon as you walk in with the fountain piece in the middle, and all their interior. For our starters, really enjoyed the Escargot ($118) which nicely presented, and tasted great with the garlic herb butter, mashed potatoes, chives and crispy bread.The Spanish Oysters ($49 each) looked just as impressive and very fresh and refreshing with a squish of lemon juice.Also had their Beef Tartare ($208), which was very flavorsome, and great when mixed with the egg yolk and eaten with the bone marrow and crisp pieces.For our mains we had their Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak 12oz ($388) cooked medium and plus Half Lobster ($128). Great bit of surf and tuft, and the juicy steak and lobster, and again top presentation.Finally had their Grilled Salmon Hand Made Tubettini ($188). Really enjoyed the texture of the tubettini and salmon was delicious with it. The creamy pesto sauce also worked really well. For our beverage we had a glass of their Sangaria ($88). Thank you to Uncle Padak for the invite to try out their menu of tasty Korean dishes. It a good place to try out if you're around Sai Yin Pun.My favorite dish of the night was their boneless fried chicken, The Padak Boneless with Black Garlic Sauce Large Size ($208). Loads of chunky juicy fried chicken with a nice strong garlic sauce. Decent value for money.The Bulgogi Kimchi Fries ($98) was my next favorite, with lots of twisty fries and enjoyed it with the strong saucy beef and kimchi.Next fav was the Kimchi Pancake ($88), which I definitely recommend sprinkling the chilli over it, for a very nice spicy kick to it.The Beef Bibimbap ($118) was good too. As usual, enjoyed the crispy burnt rice at the bottom with the beef and all the other vegetables.My least favorite of the night was the Bulgogi Beef Japchae ($118), which was a bit too moist and not too strong in flavor.The Chocolate Milkshake ($55) was nice and thick, and rich in chocolate flavor.Overall a nice Korean food night experience at Uncle Padak. 7 out of 10!…查看更多

After trying their great Wagyu Beef Wellington, thank you to Nobin and Orka for inviting me and my colleague to try their lunch menu.For their starters we had their Blissful Pumpkin Soup, which was very rich and creamy with their pumpkin and sweet potato flavor. The pumpkin seeds and sourdough croutons gave the soup some extra texture with the crunch of both.For the other starter we had their Sparky Caesar Salad, which used lovely crunchy gem lettuce as the base with scatters of bacon, cress leaves, sun dried tomatoes and caesar salad. Very refreshing.For the mains we had their Barramundi Verde Delight, which looked great. They used a sustainable Barramundi fish, which was really good. A nice thick meaty fish, nicely seasoned, and using the breadcrumb gave it a nice texture. The chickpeas were a good touch and the salsa gave the fish a good tang too. Very good.For the other main we had the Lean Chicken Tikka Masala, which again was delicately arranged. The chicken was juicy and had a fragrant masala sauce,  with springlings of kale on a bed of quinoa, Barkley and red rice. Very unique and delicious. My favorite dish of the day.For the desserts we had the Dark Chocolate Delight, which was a 70% dark chocolate vegan cake with frosting. This was so good, and one of my fav chocolate cakes. Very rich but not too heavy. Would definitely recommend it.We also had the Mango Gelato Bliss. Very tasty and refreshing, with the texture almost like eating an actual mango, and very rich in mango flavor too.Nobin kindly treated us to an extra bonus cake, their new Taro cake. Nice cheesy Korean style pizza at Mr K Pizza N Chicken in Causeway Bay and thank you to the owners for the invite to try out their place😊We ordered the set dinner $499 and had Meaty Mania Chicago Pizza, which was very good. The cool thing about their pizza is that the pizza base dough also has a layer of cheese in it making every bite very chewy and cheesy😋 lots of chicken, pork, and ham toppings to make it a meaty feast👍For the other main we had the Kimchi Carbonara Linguine with Squid. Very large serving with nicely cooked linguine in a very creamy spicy kimchi sauce, with lots of squid. Was a good combo for pasta and kimchi lovers😁 The Caesar Salad starter again was a very healthy serving of cos lettuce, cherry tomatoes, bacon and sprinkles of parmesan cheese. Nice with the caesar salad dressing.For the drinks the Yuzu Honey Tea and Green Apple Mocktail looked and tasted decent.Overall a nice experience of Korean style pizza and pasta, and I especially liked the double cheese pizza😋 7.5 out of 10!…查看更多

Some great Sichuan cuisine at 麻辣風雲 which newly opened their Mong Kok branch in King Wah Centre and thank you for the invite😊 @spicy_restaurant_hk The Fish Fillet in Spicy Sour Soup ($268) looked and tasted great, nice quality fish and plenty of it, with a nice soup and wide potato noodles😋The Fried Buns ($58) presentation wise was very creative, and seeing other people posting it in other branches made me want to try too😁 Nice crispy fried buns with a milk concentrated sweet sauce. One to order even just for the cool boat.The Sour and Spicy Potatoes ($108) was delicious, nice fine strips of potato and only subtly spicy👍The Mapo Tofu ($108) had a very good tofu texture, a good amount of mince and a nice spicy sauce, with a good punch to it😊The Sour Plum Tea ($53) was refreshing and loved the bottle it was served in, whilst the Longan ice drink ($37) was nice but a bit too sweet.Overall a 麻辣風雲 is a great addition to the Mong Kok Sichuan good scene, good quality food, not too expensive, and very nice decor😁 8 out of 10…查看更多

Thank you to Kopitiam Makan Makan for the invite, and nice place for some good Malaysian cuisine😊 The Ipoh Chicken with Sprouts and Yellow Ginger Rice was fragrant and the chicken was nice and lean with not much fat, and well seasoned😋The Loh See Fun in Claypot was my favorite dish, with mouse tail shaped noodles, with an aromatic taste with the soy sauce and mix of minced pork and egg.The Bak Kut Teh was nice with a good strong flavorsome soup and nice combo of pork, tofu, fried bread and chicken feat👍The Nanyang Style Kaya Butter Toast was slightly crispy with a nice sweet sauce. A bit too much butter but that's something you can remove yourself.The Milo Milk Chocolate was very beastly and rich, whilst the Milk Tea was much lighter but still tasty.Overall Kopitiam Makan Makan in Tai Kok Tsui/Olympic area is a nice place to try out some tasty Malaysian food😊 7 out of 10…查看更多

After visiting Babacio and trying their great food, thank you to Babacio group for inviting me to try their newly opened Lan Kwai Fong spin off branch Babacio Cucina😊 To begin, I just have to say the food quality was just as good as Babacio's👍Firstly the Boscaiola pizza ($148) looked great, and had the perfect pizza combination of ham, mushroom, cheese and tomato😋 Nice chewy pizza dough and all round great pizza.The Pomarola pasta ($108) was a very rich tomato and garlic basil pasta. For what it was, I thought it was a very good tomato pasta, and the pasta quality was very good😊👍The Caprese salad ($88) with buffalo cheese and tomatoes was very refreshing, and the buffalo cheese was fragrant and light. Tasty Mexican Cuisine and very chilled outdoor dining at Cali-Mex in Causeway Bay. Thank you to Cali-Mex for the tasting invite.The Breakfast Burrito With Bacon and Spinach($128 each), were great. Very filling with loads of scrambled eggs, mushroom, tomatoes and bacon,and spinach. Definitely one for scrambled eggs lovers.The Prawn Quesadilla ($128) had lovely prawns, peppers, and a tasty sour cream sauce. The guacamole and tomatoeswhich went as a side option with it worked really well too. We had a mix ofthe US Grilled Beef Pulled Pork, Chicken and Tempura Fish Tacos ($58each). Not your hard crisp tacos, but your soft roll tacos. Thanks to 811 Sichuan Cuisine in Mong Kok for the invite to try their tasty Sichuan dishes😊To start, the main of the Pickled Vegetable Fish ($208) for their regular size was very big. Lots of good quality fish with pickled vegetables, a lightly chilli fragrant broth and wide glass noodles, very tasty and looked nice😋The Fried Buns ($38) were my first time trying it, and they were proper tasty. Lovely fried crispy buns, dipped with the sweet sauce. Loved it, and will order it again and again in the future🤤🤤🤤The Stir Fried Cauliflower ($75) was good, cauliflower was fried so that it was still crisp, and the sliced belly pork and chilli gave it a nice fragrance 👍The Jelly Fish in Sesame Sauce, whilst not a looker😂 tasted much better than it looked. Nice sesame sauce with the chewy springy texture of the jelly fish, my kind of thing😁The Blueberry Smoothie ($38) was nice. You get a lot and the blueberry flavor is there, maybe a be too icy though and needed to be blended a bit more.Overall, for a good Sichuan restaurant to try around Mong Kok, 811 Sichuan Cuisine is a good choice, with good quality and reasonably price food, can't go wrong really. Sour and Spicy Noodles in TST is a good place for Sichuan food lovers. The beef sour vegetables potato noodles main was very tasty, with a very flavorsome sour soup base and massive portion size😋 So very good value for money.
