Tried the seasonal Drunken Hairy Crab Set for Two at Dawn & Moonlit after 5:30 PM. The two whole Drunken Hairy Crabs (4 taels each) were impeccably prepared, with sweet, firm meat and rich, glossy roe elevated by a classic Shaoxing wine marinade that brought out authentic Jiangsu-style depth.The meal opened with a clear, nourishing Chinese soup, followed by the signature steamed crab roe dumplings—delicate wrappers bursting with fresh, intense crab roe and pure umami, true to traditional flavors.Mains featured stir-fried river shrimp, crisp and succulent with clean wok aroma, and braised pork belly with octopus in a deep, savory brown sauce—both tender and perfectly balanced. The set finished with warm sesame glutinous rice dumplings in ginger tea, chewy and fragrant with a gentle spicy warmth.Every dish delivered authentic Jiangsu character, instantly transporting me back to Suzhou. I had such a wonderful time at Dawn & Moonlit recently, trying both theAfternoon Tea Set and the Afternoon Tea for Two Set during one relaxing meal.The Scallion Oil Hand-Pulled Noodles were a highlight—super silky with a tastyD&M sesame sauce, and the Cold Hand-Pulled Noodles in D&M Sesame Saucewere a nice, refreshing change. The Crab Roe Wonton and Steamed Crab RoeDumpling were melt-in-your-mouth good, while the Premium Crab Roe on StickyRice Dumpling and Crispy Rice Cake with Crab Roe added some fun texture. TheJellyfish Salad was a light, crunchy break, and the hot Soy Milk with Sour PlumJuice was a perfect match.Then we moved on to the Afternoon Tea for TwoSet, which felt like a special treat. The Crab Meat Jelly was delicate andflavorful, and the Brown Sugar Honeycomb Cake was a sweet surprise. The MochiBall with Crab Meat and Mushroom had a great mix of flavors, while the RoseGlutinous Rice Cake with Brown Sugar smelled amazing and tasted even better.The Crème Brûlée was a creamy delight to finish. For tea, the Tangerine PeelLiu Pao Tea was so soothing and was a cozy end to the meal. The tiered stand it came onlooked really pretty too.Priced at HK$98 for the single set and HK$188 for the two (with a 10% service charge), it felt like great value for the quality.
