Cova is a very good brand in Italy, just I want to try Hong Kong. We go for tea time but order a la carta, risotto con funghi, carbonara and cova club sandwich.First of all we have to say all the food come faster and cold.Risotto con funghi: no taste and the mushrooms was burned. Rosemary as decoration it was bad taste.Fettucine carbonara: it was dry no taste and cold. Cant believe called carbonara. Missing also the cheese.Cova club sandwich: standard taste average quality of ingredient. Let’s go to try this Italian finest pastries. We order burrata and pozza scrocchiarella prosciutto.Burrata. Good quality served a bit cold with colourful cherry tomato. Unfortunately topping with too much black pepper, the taste change and good product became not so good.Pizza scrocchiarella. I do believe this word recall the pizza in Rome. This kind of word in Italian language mean crunchy and thin, classic pizza you can eat in many Italian Pizzeria. What they delivery is, pizza cold soft like spongy cake without mozzarella. Topping with parma ham Parmesan cheese and rocket salad. It’s really wrong. They must change name or change the way to make it. Please respect Italian product. Just simple dinner let try this Taiwanese style. Nice environment and polite professional staff. You can choose one soup per person plus some set with beef selection and buffet. The soup I choose was tomatoes spicy soup. The beef selection is very good quality well presented. The buffet is with good selection of vegetables, chicken meatball ice cream and huge selection of soft drink. The spicy tomatoes soup is outstanding you can also choose the spicy level. Just stop by to have lunch. They say italian let me try. I go with set lunch and i go with petto di pollo alla romana and I ask for mash potatoes. On the end I want to really try the original Italian tiramisu. Petto di pollo alla romana: to be in set lunch is absolutely outstanding. Generous portion with original Italian recipe of tomatoes sauce plus bell pepper. Beautiful presentation from the chef, smooth taste, very good!!Mash potatoes: really make from potatoes and not from any pre powder or whatsoever. Very tasty surprise.Tiramisu: this is original italian tiramisu. Perfect make with mascarpone eggs sugar caffe and savoiardi; in luck and easy word was perfect! Congratulation for the chef. Just stop by to have late lunch with friend, to try the American Italian style. Good environment, friendly staff. We decide to go for soup, chicken amaroni famous style, lasagna tiramisu and cannoli.Soup: very nice good taste serve with good focaccia. Chicken: nothing special worm not so hot, nice mix with sausage, well served. Must be more hot less dry. Good outstanding.Lasagna: sorry that’s was not good. Please try to improve the quality or stop to serve. Lasagna Italian style or American it’s very good dish. Please this need to be changed. The layer was empty, no besciamella no mozzarella no ragù, tomatoes sauce was bitter. Please do something.Tiramisu: nothing to say, it was very good. With Marsala mascarpone it was perfect match. Just I decide to have lunch time there by myself. Environment is very nice, staff very friendly polite and professional. I go with a la carta menu and I got the Veal baked with buffalo mozzarella tomatoes in pesto sauce. Well presented from the chef serve with different kind of salad with cherry tomatoes. Veal was well cooked and juicy. Pesto sauce was ok. What was not in evidence was buffalo mozzarella. Overall was very good and enjoy to eat. If there is something no good to say, there was not meat choice in set lunch. If u don’t like seafood you have to go for a la carta menu. Just stop by to have breakfast. Nice decoration friendly welcome from the staff I decide to go to cereal bowl and orange juice with croissant. Just I decide to go to try this restaurant since I heard they make the best amatriciana in town maybe in asia. Just arrived and waiting more than 10 minutes (despite the restaurant was empty). After they assign me the table. We decide to go with: burrata amatriciana, spaghetti cacio e pepe, rigatoni amatriciana pinza romana margherita and tiramisu. Burrata Amatriciana: the idea to do fusion is always good but we must respect the ingredient. Burrata inside the hot amatriciana sauce ( I was surprise to feel the garlic inside) became ricotta and taste is really bad. Moreover amatriciana with garlic please don’t do that. The result the dish is inappropriate and with not good taste. I order burrata no ricotta. Spaghetti cacio e pepe: it was al dente maybe to much al dente but the surprise the spaghetti was room temperature. Moreover pass the so al dente, the taste was surprise, cacio e pepe is pecorino romano or Parmesan cheese with black pepper. There was inside one more cheese, doesn’t fit with the original recipe. Pinza romana margherita: on my opinion was pizza pre cooked and reheat last minute. Can’t say was bad but was not what should be the original pinza romana. It was hard to eat, tomatoes and mozzarella topping was good.Rigatoni amatriciana. The only thing I remember too salty. Whatever we can discuss about spicy or not, but the original recipe is without spicy or could be light spicy but not super spicy. This one Was like Asian style spicy noodles. Tomatoes sauce could be with San Marzano but I don’t think they use it. Pecorino was good quality to strong and with help from the chili they used make the dish almost inedible. So disappointed. Moreover if we want to make the real original we must use bucatini. The overall was not look like amatriciana but some spicy rigatoni in tomatoes sauce Asian style. I didn’t see too much guanciale. Bucatini amatriciana come from small city amatrice near Rieti where my father was born. It’s Italian cult. Maybe they can try better to make taste more near the original amatriciana.Tiramisu: tiramisu with whipping cream cacao savoiardi it’s not the real tiramisu. Good presentation but not tiramisu. One more thing, please improve the service. All staff was polite but unfortunately no professional. The environment was ok, the price little be high for the food and service they provide. Just go there with friend to try the famous dessert. We decide to go for: le Chou a la cream (cream puff), le Mont Blanc (chestnut tart), le chocolate noisette (chocolate hazelnut cream).Cream puff: absolutely delicious, the cream was outstanding, how can be so delicious I don’t know. Perfect flavour inside the puff, the cream was in lack of perfect balance in taste and smooth. Wooow can’t stop to eat.Le Mont Blanc: I eat many time in my life but the cream topping was amazing, perfect fusion cream and chestnut. Outstanding.Le chocolate noisette: when use the high level chocolate to make amazing impossible mouse, wooow!! Just I stop by to try this traditional Chinese Restaurant. I got silver pork fried noodles the traditional crunchy noodles with pork and chicken pot with taste sauce like chicken slow cooking with ginger. Both was outstanding. I eat many time the kind of noodles but here is amazing. Good texture and taste, and even the presentation was in good plate. The chicken slow cooked was very good with ginger and the tasty sauce was very good since not so spicy and very tasty. Also with wonderful plate. The portion was huge and good also for share, but I suggest to eat one all. Very impressed, price was excellent for the quality they serve. Congratulation for sure I will back again. Just I decide to have break lunch over there. I know this restaurant already visit other branch. I get impossible bolognese. There is not word to describe my disappointed feeling. It was extremely salty and quality of meat was not good. Serve work temperature not so hot, the only thing come up was salty taste that’s it. The food was average u can find anywhere in Hong Kong. The view is amazing and that make everything beautiful. The floor staff it’s average expect more for this kind of restaurant. What it make the feeling uncomfortable there is room where allow smoke cigar, make the ambient smelling and this is not good. Just I was there to early dinner. They have also wonderful deal for happy hour. We take, spaghetti caprese, carpaccio di manzo alla romana, pizza margherita. Spaghetti was totally amazing. Nice composition from fresh mozzarella e tomatoes. Wonderful mix from chef without mistaken true Italian. Carpaccio di manzo alla romana. There is no word in normal dictionary to describe how much was good. This is carpaccio make for real manzo. Well presented with rocket salad and Parmesan cheese. Nothing more. You can taste the real fresh beef perfect match with Parmesan cheese and fresh rocket salad. Just salt pepper and EVO oil!! Woow.Pizza margherita.Outstanding one of the best in Hong Kong. Just dinner with friend. Lovely environment and friendly staff. You can choose many good deal. We go for 3 appetiser, roasted potatoes, goat cheese salad and bacon and beans. Main course chicken breast with Parma ham. Appetiser: the Got salad was outstanding. Cherry tomatoes fresh salad right red onion and goat cheese.
