Each time we are in the neighbourhood, this place always pops up in our mind for a quick bite. And it never disappoints me. The wonton was packed with prawns. Can’t finish it in one mouthful. The handmade 鯪魚球 was as big as a ping pong and it was so tender. The noodles (this type of thin egg noodle) were cooked “Al dente” 😋 I like to add a bit of the red vinegar to my noodles as I think they are the perfect match especially if you are having the wonton noodles! …查看更多

We came here on a public holiday for lunch so they didn’t have the usual lunch set on offer. Well a la carte it is!The restaurant is on the first floor inside this commercial building. It’s quite small inside but beautifully decorated with Eastern Europe flavour. We were lucky to have a table in a small room next to the entrance. It was cosy there (see my pic). Can only for two tables of four. The salad was a nice starter! The herring and the beetroot goes so well together. I wish the serving size is a tad bigger. The borscht soup - unlike the typical HK favour, this one is more “purple”ish (guess they used beetroot instead of tomato) and it tasted different too. I quite liked it. We also ordered another soup (with salmon) and it tasted nice. Europeans know how to cook their fish for sure! The two main dish didn’t disappoint us either. The chicken Kiev - as I cut open it in half, the oil inside oozed out like a runny egg yolk. The homemade chips were nice and crisp! The baked salmon was delicious, packed with so much flavour. Highly recommended both. I guess the let down for me was the ox tongue. It wasn’t tender enough. Didn’t enjoy it as much. Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Didn’t have to wait for long before we got our seats. The place is full of SSP locals and yes if you want to taste what’s like to live in SSP, come here and you will not regret!We ordered 胡椒豬雜湯 ( 銀針粉), my favourite 艇仔粥加油條 and for a 芫荽控, we also ordered the 芫荽皮蛋腸粉! They have different package too with lots of add on. 胡椒豬雜湯 - the soup was delicious especially if you like the spicy and peppery taste. Highly recommended it. Came on a public holiday and they only offered a brunch set. The complimentary bread sourdough was nice and warm. The entree was a mini egg Benedict with muesli. As I cut the egg in half, the yoke oozed out beautifully. Nice! I had the Japanese scallop fettuccine and the pasta was cooked to al dente. The sauce was beautiful and the presentation was delightful. The other main was the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. There were only three choices for dessert. Came here for a pre theatre dinner. Love the ambience inside the restaurant and the decor. High ceiling with big wall mirror makes the place very spacious. We ordered my favourite steak tartare as entree. The complimentary sourdough with olive oil and balsamic vinegar were such a delight. The tartare did not let us down either. It was a good start for the night :)The porcini and goose liver risotto was delicious. The goose liver wasn’t too heavy. In fact I think the whole dish was well balanced in terms of flavour and texture. Must try! The fettuccine was cooked to al dente and the prawns were cooked to perfection too. Came here for lunch today.Very spacious and everything still looked new. We ordered the bibimbap with chicken and the Taiwanese beef tendon and beef brisket noodles. You can add $3 for a cold drink with these lunch set. The noodles was nice and the portion was reasonable. The bibimbap came with wagyu beef instead. Not bad. Reasonable price and quality. A quick afternoon tea since we came to MOS! Shame that 瀨粉 was sold out so we have to opt for the 米粉 yet it was still very nice. The goose was 😋😋😋The other afternoon set we ordered the bbq pork with soya chicken 米粉. Both the pork and chicken were nice. Came here last night before the play. Ordered the set dinner - omelette rice with Japanese eel. A full length eel on top of the omelette rice. Bit disappointed with the omelette rice though as the eggs were over cooked. Flavour wise was ok. The set includes a dessert which is Japanese cheesecake for today and you get to choose between a salad or the soup of the day. I went for the salad and it was just some greens in a cup. Oh, you get a drink too. I went for the grapefruit vinegar and it was ok. The food served the purpose as to satisfy my hunger before the two hours play. First time visit and was attracted by the pictures! Fish soup base noodles - perfect on a day when it’s so humid and hot and when T3 is up! I ordered the 芫荽皮蛋鯇魚片米線. When it arrived I was impressed with the amount of coriander and shallot. Put a smile on my face straight away. There were quite an ample amount of fish fillet too. Came here for dinner on a week night and it was packed! 90 minutes dining. Nice decor inside and we got a table along the windows. Great attentive service too but one small fault - we ordered a creme brûlée for dessert and they came with a tiramisu and said they ran out of creme brûlée. They should have let us know before they try to put down the tiramisu!We ordered a snack - mussels in creamy white wine sauce. The sauce was delicious 😋As for main, we shared the charcoal udon with salmon roe and sea urchin. Again the sauce was yummy and the udon was quite nice too. The second main we had was the chicken breast with duck foie gras. The presentation was pleasing and overall the flavours were there. As for dessert, I had the dark chocolate and orange hazelnut mousse. It was nice. Drinks - they have Happy Hour which is buy 1 get the second 1 half price on beer and wine. Not much choice from the wine selection (only one white and one red by glass and a sparkling on the menu) and a few beer. This is my third time here for lunch. A great spot for a quick lunch with reasonable price. Today, I tried the 牛筋牛腩米 with extra shallot. Although this restaurant is so close to home but I only paid a visit last night. Nice decor and very spacious. Not too crowded for a week night and there were plenty of space in between tables. Finally we came here to try out their semi lunch buffet today. 2.5 hours duration we got a nice table with ample natural light and not too far away from the food. From the buffet bar, there were quite a good selection of cold food items. My top picks were the smoked salmon, the wasabi octopus, the tofu in sesame sauce and oh, the gherkins, the capers and olives!!!! Even though I am not a dessert person but I actually tried a few today. Again the selection was quite impressive. I tried their homemade gelato, the hojitcha cake, the green tea mousse and the creme brûlée. Love them all!As for main, there were four choices to choose from. This store at MK is upstairs so if you are carrying lots of stuff or you have a stroller, think twice before you come. Oh… on a Sunday, the locals are outnumbered by the foreign maids…..Anyway as a coriander freak, I came here to try out their latest coriander meal that comes with a coriander coke. The soup base is made from blended coriander with maybe chicken stock. I did finished all the soup so I guess no MsG or at the very least very minimal. Yet I wish the soup base is stronger in terms of the coriander flavour. The fried pork chop was nice. Wish they can have more of the coriander meatballs than the fried tofu. As with the coriander coke, it’s just coke with a top layer of blended coriander sitting on top. Came here on a Friday night and when you can’t make a reservation, it was pure luck that we got our seats within 10 minutes! Super busy and the restaurant at TST is not that big either so one will need to raise their voice to be able to talk with your friends. Food wise - we ordered the tuna tartare and the rocket and pear salad. Love the amount of cheese they had on the salad! There were some pine nuts too! That’s a bonus! I missed this salad. As with the tuna tartare - not much of a wow factor to be honest. It was mediocre. As for the main, we ordered the pappardelle beef cheek and the tagliolini truffle.
