Newly opened this Malaysian restaurant cutches the attention of the people. Not only because it’s one and only choice of this kind of food in a hood but it has big portion and authentic taste.It has a small menu with couple mains and sides, also drinks. No special lunch or dinner menu but some proposals with added options. We ordered chicken rice and laksa.The first you’ll probably think about is a portion. Very genius with clean and tidy presentation. Any of us couldn’t finish it at all (tanks for the take out box). I never ever had so many almost non touched dishes after the meal. Today I had lunch in the “Spring Deer” and I can be sure I will never come back!I ordered 4 dishes for two people. The Chili prawn doesn’t have any spice kick and covered by big fat cornstarch blanket. The Eel was swimming in the oil sea. The Fish with a wine sauce was very dry and also covered by layer of cornstarch.Only the Sweet and Sour Soup was acceptable with a lot of ingredients. All the dishes were very messy with no presentation at all. The service was extremely slow. We did just one bite of every dish. That’s the time when you even don’t want to take out. I had decided to have lunch in this restaurant just from the looking on their menu outside. The Creamy seafood Udon with the black truffle got my attention so I ordered this dish. Also I’ve got a lobster salad on a side. My salad was fresh and well made. I like the combination with the souse and Romaine lettuce on a bottom. The Udon was pretty good. I’ve tried this shop first time and I definitely would recommend it! The restaurant is new, clean and bright. It’s located in Wan Chai and easy to find. I’ve ordered seafood Laksa. The portion was huge. If you want to have smaller portion you are welcome to stop by at the tea time. The price will be half. The specialty in this dish is a soup base - rich, spicy and flavory! I’m so glad that my friend’ve got a promotion coupon of this restaurant today on a street. This was my first time try this restaurant. We had two dishes - rice in a soup with the lobster and Singapore noodles. The total bill was 150 hkd. That’s crazy price for the food which we’ve got! The taste just perfect, the spices were good. That’s my first time experienced this vegetarian restaurant. I expected to have at least a good selection of veggie seems the name of the place is Veggie Shop. But it’s not about this place) All the dishes are vegetarian and looks good on a photos but I didn’t find anything special into the taste. Just regular cooking style with a simple ingredients. I ordered three dishes and only Shark skin soup was okey. The total bill was 220 which I think is overpriced.The restaurant has very old finishing and it looks a bit mess and dirty. I like to visit here on Tuesday for the promotion. For 199 hkd I can get tasting of eight oysters from all the world around (Japanese, Irish, Spanish, South Korean, USA, South African and French as well). It also complementary a glass of white wine with this combo. In my personal opinion it’s the best deal for oysters in Hong Kong. Of course sometimes I like to come here just for regular 10 hkd oyster special and some options from the menu. My favourite 10 hkd oyster is from South Africa. The size is small but the taste is excellent. The creamy texture and not too much of sea salt taste. The menu has a lot of options with meat steak, pastas and salads. This is a second time I’m eating in this burger place. I definitely like to have vegetarian burger here. The first of all they use vegan scotch bap which is soft and perfect for the burger. The souse is just right good, the beyond meat always ok. Only one disappointment in here is fish burger! The bun was extremely dry and tasteless, the meat of fish was terrible dry too and no sauce into (I guess it was a bit but not enough). I’ve tried this noodle restaurant first time. I ordered coriander and thousand years old egg soup base with yellow egg noodle and some extra topics. The broth was light and with right amount of coriander flavour. I wish to have a bit more portion of eggs in my dish. On a side I’ve got nice crispy fish skin, soft and tender curry squid and Chinese mushroom. Also they do have a rice in a menu but everything comes with a meat so I didn’t order it.The service was good, the place is very clean and brand new. I definitely like this Japanese ramen restaurant in Wan Chai. Simple, flavory and clean. It’s probably one of not many places in Hong Kong where you can get shrimp ramen base. The shrimp broth base has a very rich flavour. Personally I prefer spicy and full of flavour food so this restaurant got my attention! In general all the ingredient options are very simple. You can add extra egg, slice of Bbq pork, spring onions and ginger tempura. The restaurant opened no more than 1 Year, decorations are very simple, table are for sharing. I believed that clay pot rice is suppose to be hot and dry and full of charcoal flavour. It isn’t this time. Don’t waist you money for this over priced place. I’ve ordered morning glory and Eel clay pot rice with mushroom. The big disappointment was the taste of bleached rice. The Eel texture was dry and skinny . The price for two dishes comes in 102 hkd. Definitely doesn’t worth it. The waiter was very very unprofessional and angry. I felt myself treated by this woman. She dropped menu like a garbage and didn’t even tried to listen to my order. When we started to do order she just turned around and left. Never in my life I’ve happened to experience that level of bad service and horrible food. Surprisedly I haven’t been in this restaurant till yesterday! It’s not too many Vietnamese food options in Wan Chai. This restaurant has nice variety of dishes, huge portions and very reasonable price. We (2 ppl) hardly finished 3 dishes (check the photos below). Also we ordered extra Coconut and Lime Soda. The total bill was under 300 hkd. The coconut had a lot of meat inside, the noodles had fresh ingredients. The portion of grilled squid is just right, the meat was soft with slightly charcoal flavour into it and the avocado soft shell crab roll very huge and delicious as well. Great price for a good authentic Malaysian food around Sham Shui Po ! A lot of food choices with a perfect portion and spicy ness. I like to come here because I can order couple of dishes and walk out with a happy smile and full belly. I’ll recommend to try curry naan and buk kut teh soup with short rips and the glass squid with vegi! The corn cake was a bit dry. I didn’t order too much in this place but definitely want to be back for food adventure. The owner of this place had good experience by doing private kitchen and found her own spice house. I’m sure you won’t find similar taste in all HK. Very Authentic Sichuan Spice. The portion is big the price is affordable. The vegan burger made me cry! The bun was very soft, the ingredients was - no taste with no veggi patty. Burger doesn’t have any character and taste into it. Everything was very plain and tasteless. The queue for the food was huge. In my personal opinion people just exaggerate this place. However the caijuan French fries was pretty good.
