Dab-pa (pa) used to be my go-to sichuan comfort food given the proximity to work. I say ‘used to’ since the taste and value for money have gone down. I usually order one meat dish and one veggie dish with either a bowl of rice or noodles. Today I added in a Xiaolongbao as well. In all fairness the xlb was disappointing with the heavy texture, barely any juice in the filling - even the most basic restaurant makes better xlb. The cauliflower dish and the chicken dishes lacked the depth of flavour found in sichuan cuisine. At best I’d give it 6/10 for the food. Of late I've been craving for Indian food, specifically the Chicken Biriyani. I live in North Point so I ended up at Tulsi. They received the Michelin recommendation from 2012-2018. I ordered a plate of chicken biryani (takeaway due to covid related restrictions). The long grain basmati rice was orange & yellow coloured mixed with gracious amounts of boned chicken. The herbious flavor of the biriyani made for a delightful lunch. A mint raitha was served alongside as well which I mixed with portions of the biriyani to mollify the spices from the biriyani. My only frown was the portion should have been more to fully satisfy the belly. I'd probably go back once more to have the sit-down biriyani set to check if the portions are any different for dine-in. At HKD 104 it's priced a tad above par, especially for the location. …查看更多

Had the Chicken Biriyani with Indian milk tea (chai). The biriyani was loaded with succulent pieces of meat well mixed in basmati rice and half a boiled egg. It is sufficient for 1-2 people. The chai was slightly underwhelming. I expected it to have a slightly more masala ito it. The service level was good. Overall I'd say this is an OK place to eat though I'm not sure if I'd visit again since there are other Indian restaurants in town. …查看更多

Turned up at Santironi Wan Chai on a Saturday at 7pm without a reservation. There was no issues in getting a table thankfully, presumably due to the current situation. We opted for their balcony seating which faces Hopewell Center (no views but makes for a relaxed setting).Ordered the Souvlaki meat platter (H$ 425) which comes with grilled lamb, chicken & beef along with a portion of pita bread and whole lotta fries. This dish was too filling for 2 people. I'd think it can be easily shared amongst 3-4 people. We paired the meat with the house red wine (H$ 70). After the meat overload we finished off with the chocolate lava mountain which I'd highly recommend for chocolate lovers. This can be shared with 3 people easily. The bill came up to approx. Walked in on Sunday night at 8:15pm and got a table with no wait time due to the virus situation. Haven't seen The Cheesecake factory without a waiting time ever before. It was packed to almost 80% which was a surprise to me.Food: We ordered the nachos. Lots of cheese, jalapeños, right amount of guacamole and sour cream - I'd give it a 4/5. The plate is good to share for 3-4 people. We also ordered their Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta. Let me clarify - it was not spicy by any means, rather had a tinge of sweetness from the honey glazed chicken chunks. The pasta was one of the best pastas I've tasted (I've to admit I'm not pasta fan but this blew me off). The asparagus and red+green peppers provided a nice garnish to the pasta.
