The thought of having egg tart for afternoon tea always lightens up my day. Catherine's egg tart is definitely among the top of my "egg tart list".I always prefer biscuit base for egg tarts. The biscuit base is crispy and hot in Catherine's. The filling is not too sweet, glad that it's not sugary.The egg tarts are as good as those in Tai Chueng, and it's only $3 in Catherine's. This is my first review ever at open rice, thanks to Adagio. The set lunch was so bad I have to get registered and warn fellow eaters.I got some coupons from a group buying web site. For $48 you get a 3-course set lunch. I didn't hold high hopes, but it exceeded my expectation, at the negative side.For the starter, the garlic bread was placed out for too long. The mushroom cream soup was even more unforgivable: I would rather call it a bowl of oily and salty liquid. No traces of mushroom. Worse still, where is the cream?!I picked Smoked Salmon noodles for main course. The thin noodles were soft, just the right texture, but it was tasteless! There was supposed to be creamy white sauce, but instead, the noodles were soaked in PLAIN WATER!Just one bite of the smoked salmon and you'd know the boss is really trying her best...to cut cost.The desert is ONE puff, though I suspect they got it from Park N shop.For $50 you can find far tastier food in the area.Definitely NO GO! …查看更多
