So that night, a bunch of us went out to celebrate my birthday. When the pizza arrived, we were all excited and immediately started taking photos for social media (that’s when the picture was taken). Right after that, one of my friends spotted a bug — and yeah, we really saw it, a worm right on the lettuce, even wriggling around.We told a staff member about it, and when he came over, he didn’t even check — just took the pizza away immediately. Then we noticed the head chef seemed to be inspecting the pizza somewhere near the bar. After a while, she came out and told us she didn’t find anything wrong with the pizza, said she didn’t know what we were talking about. We explained there was a bug on it, and she claimed she couldn’t see anything. Then we remembered we had taken a photo — so we showed it to her. And then she started with all the excuses: “Maybe it’s because you’re sitting outdoors, or it could be the lighting… blah blah blah.” And anyway, she had already thrown the pizza away by then.We were just shocked. Honestly, we weren’t even trying to make a big deal out of it — we just wanted to let them know there was a bug. But the way the chef spoke to us made it seem like we were causing trouble on purposeHonestly, it would’ve been better if she hadn’t said anything.
