ordered set lunch at $85 breaded mozarella - ok, just a snacksalmon fillet - crispy, but too small. (4 inch long, 1 inch wide, less than 1 inch thick), tasteless. I have to add salt. salmon salad, mushroom risotto with shredded parmisan, coffee = $783 good pieces of smoked salmon, but the dressing is tasteless.Risotto looks really good. Got slices of parmisan on top. However, too salty. I drank 2 glasses of water to finish it. Less the salt, it is chewy, and thick enough.Coffee is so bad! I didn't finish half of it. I came here twice. Had the pasta the first time, then rissoto the second time. Both are fabulous. Goumet KC wrote great review and took nice photos. I just want to second him.The pasta is al dente. The rissoto is chewy and more on the raw side. But overall they are very good. Many people order steak with mashed potatoes, but the pasta and rissoto really reveal the skills of the chef.I tried both tomato seafood soup and salad. The soup looks better than it tastes. Thick with tomato paste and some miscellaneous seafood pieces. I will stick to the salad next time.I got a wedge of cheese cake on the 1st visit, and tiramisu+ice-cream on the 2nd. These are all generous dessert, considering some restaurants just give you ordinary cake and ice-cream.Not too crowdy. You can have very relaxing lunch. The serving is big enough even for a big man. It will last you till dinner.Pork belly is wonderful. Pork liver is fantastic. The liver is cooked just right in your soup. In this soaking wet morning, I went to this oasis in Central. At 9:45am, it is not crowded, but the kitchen is busy doing take-aways.The air-con is cool, plus fresh wind blowing in. In nearby Cafe de xxxxx, it is hot inside, possibly wanting more people to order cold drinks.Breakfast is as low as $14, but if you pay $17, you get all the full course breakfast with pork cutlet, steak or fish.I ordered fish. It takes 10min to wait. It is freshly fried. Real decent cut of a fish, not fish cake, the same as those chains advertised on TV. Comes with generous salad spread.The egg is sunny. The sausage is crisp. Most important, the milk tea is smoking hot! And strong enough. Also a simple buttered bread.All these just for $17. I sat on the side table. Milk tea is tasteless!I mean, as a heritage place, you can charge more, but at least you give some reasonable food. Tried pork knuckle. lunch set is $125. good deal. The portion is good for 2. The skin is crisp, tendons, fat, and lean meat are all tasty. The dessert is kind of cheese cake, but not too cheesy. Hence I can finish it all.The tea comes in a pot with tea bag. Nice.Actually the other lunch set: sole wrapped in bacon with tomato sauce and rice is good too. Only at $78.The salad is just lettuce and thousand island. But the carrot soup is quite tasty.The decor is good and the hall is big. Even space for a band. I think at night time is very party feel environment.However, don't expect first timers or your friend be able to find this place on his own without checking the map first.Another problem is, you really want to order German beer to go with pork knuckle. But the Maiser's Weisse is $68 for half litre. At CitySuper, it sells at $17 for the same thing!I know it is different in a restaurant than supermarket but it shouldn't be 4 times. Picked the $499 dinner set for 2 recommended by the boss woman.It has fish egg salad, 10-piece sashimi boat (salmon, oil gum fish, shrimp, etc), 2 fresh red shell (or big shrimp), cod fish, fresh oyster hot pot, fried rice, sake.Everyone is delicious and look great. The portion is good for 2. Actually we have one more kid sharing this.The service is actually very nice. I booked and they reserved a good seat. They explained how to do the hot pot (vegetables first, then oyster). Tried their house-made white sesame seed ice-cream which is very good.I think they aim at high end food and customers. The boss is the Japanese master. Obviously they cannot serve too many customers at peak hour. Order 7 layer nachos with beef - $66, lime soda - $22.Food served in plastic cups, aluminium foil, plastic fork and knives! Beef is like canned food but worst than corned beef. Red and dry. Is the price tag not enough for fresh beef?? Otherwise the nachos is okay and crispy with cheese, sour cream and all that stuff.Including service charge and tips - $100, for fast food kind of service. Judging from the ala carte menu it looks like a steal.however, the portion of each dish is no smaller which means you are quickly filled up if you don't waste food.seafood and mussels are fresh.chicken wings and pizza are crap.chicken wings are so hard they seem like boiled for soup before.pizza are thick, no crispy edge, loaded with a thick layer of cheap tomato paste. you are really done after eating a 8" pizza like this. I just take one in and throw away the rest.for the tomato and mozarella, the mozarella they use is not the usual type you see in City Super, it is harder, less white and less cheesy, more like fake fish balls then cheese.the rissotto, the seafood is fresh enough, the taste is okay, but the rice is big and rough and not starchy. they gave you bread and salad right away, which you should turn down to avoid wasting food and leave quota for other courses.tiramisu is ok, but very fatty and thick.one should order baby lobster angel hair right away; otherwise later they run out of baby lobsters. the pasta is ok. though i can't find the truffle as mentioned in the menu.the red and white house wines are ok.deep fried soft crab and calamari are good. we end up ordering $750 worth of food, still i haven't tried the ribs and beef. but i doubt it will taste great.there are a few families celebrating birthdays. so the environment and feel is warm. if you don't book, the tables for walk-in are close and you can hear everything the couple at the next table say.…查看更多

got a slip on the street, saying luch set from $52, so give it a try; otherwise at this location, even if you drop by the doggy building entrance and saw their sign, and there was no photos nor menus shown, I bet no one will ever take the lift and walk in there.The lighting is all wrong, too bright. Looks like a canteen. The air conditioning is all wrong too. They added a line of fans that blow right on your head.I can't find the $52 lunch set. There are lunch sets ranging from $68 to $108. I picked the black pork set, which is $68 with black pork rice and miso soup. That's all.I have to add $12 for ice-cream and a drink. Though the portion for pork is generous, one would expect them to throw in a standard drink.There is also 10% service charge. Including tip it is $90.I had a $100 lunch yesterday in a Italian restaurant nearby, and got bread, generous salad, decent main course of beef, coffee or ice-cream. It deserves more good ones.soup + rice + latte = 54soup is 西洋菜湯，the soup is thick with vegetables.rice is red rice and loads of vegetables, a few decent slices of pork.This certainly gives you a healthy dose of fibre for lunch without huge amount of calorie or fat.The latte is good too. Certainly better than the chains.I can't say the food is very tasty. It is the household kind that you may make at home with little or no taste enhancers. Lots of OLs just come for the rice + soup combo.There is no 10% or tips required. For singletons there is a bar table where you can have lunch on your own.…查看更多

Ordered tiger shrimp pasta and lemon tea at $78. For $45 you only get pasta with sauce only.The flow is like 大快活，even the seats are like 大活. But that's okay, because it is tiger shrimp.In 5 mins it comes. But the shrimp is 虾米！吾系化？咁搵笨？Check again there are 青豆size 带子and clams, in fact it is 急冻海鲜雜碎At this moment I saw they gave a pasta dish to my next table. It is all tiger shrimps there!So I realized they gave me a wrong dish, and asked them to replace immediately.3 mins later, the replacement came. I saw one tiger shrimp on top. It is 中虾size. Really crispy. Good. Then I searched under the pasta for another. But no! There is no other tiger shrimp! It was 海鲜雜碎 again!乜野事呀！I hesitated maybe they ran out of shrimps... But eventually I can't take it and asked the waiter:"点解呢碟同上一碟一佯既？成碟得一只虎虾！其他全部是虾米...."The waiter didn't know what to do, as I pressed on finally a 阿姐 said they will do it again.Another 3 mins later. The 3rd dish came. This time is exactly as the one my next table got. All tiger shrimps. I am so pissed!It is up to all of you to guess what they did in the 2nd dish.I suspect they just put 1 tiger shrimp on the 1st dish and return it to me!
