Came for early dinner today!Order a spicy fried chicken, carbonara toppoki and pale ale fried prawns. Also ordered a grapefruit mocktail.My favourite was the carbonara toppoki which was cheesy and has nice chewy toppoki. Fried chicken was also well marinated. However I would not recommend ordering the pale ale fried prawns because it was not as tasty compared to the other two items. Grapefruit mocktail was good for sharing and to balance the grease in the foodService was fast and friendly with food being dished out very quickly. Came here for dinner for the first time. My hubby was ambitious and ordered 十全十美, thinking that they would probably only give one piece of each ingredient. However we were wrong! They really give you the portion of each ingredient as if it was ordering ala carte! So for $88 it was really a lot of food that can be shared by two.I ordered my own bowl with just 2 ingredients and it cost $40. I have been here on different occasions- brunch, tea time and dinner. The food portion is always generous and flavourful, good value for money!Today we tried the fried mushroom with truffle mayo, salted egg yolk chicken wings and mix seafood risotto. It was simply delicious! Looking at the other photos posted by other diners, these three items are less frequently ordered by others but they really taste so good. Wings was well marinated and coated, retaining its juicy flavor. Mushroom had a good tasty batter with generous portion of mayo dip. Booked a table for 5 during my friends birthday.Place was sleek with good attentive service. Ordered the crab cake, scallop and calamari for appetizers; mac&cheese, pork ribs, lobster risotto, salmon, wagyu burger, striploin steak for mains to share, two desserts and three alcoholic drinks.Was impressed with the crab cake, risotto, salmon, steak and wagyu burger. Glad we came to try this after looking at reviews on open rice.Unlike regular 車仔麵 places, this place is meant to attract a hipster crowd. Order at a front counter before picking up your food then head to find a seat.Ordered fishball, squid and lava egg with yellow noodles and asked for slight spicy sauce.Portion was generous and I love the lava egg! Have been wanting to try greyhound cafe and then realised cwb’s branch reviews haven’t been fantastic. Ordered a 1)tom yum noodle soup2)deep fried sea bass appetizer3)corn and crab meat fritters4) Tom yum seafood with fusilli First two orders came within 10 minutes, then we waited a long time (at least 20 min) for the next two orders. Suspected that the order was forgotten but the crew was apologetic so it was all okayI had come with a high expectation of interesting Thai fusion food. Sea bass appetizer was good! But I think the tom yum noodle soup was very watered down, neither spicy nor sour. Fritters was filled generously with corn, with a barely there hint/taste of seafood. Tom yum seafood fusilli was okay, but not my balance of spice.Because I haven’t been to the other branches, I have to say that it could be the culinary skills of the cooks here because it seemed other people felt this branch is substandard as compared to other outlets. Had an early dinner here and was seated near the windows where the road is. Good spot to chill and people watch in the lovely ambience!Ordered a baby lobster brioche and academics breakfast. The shop front is very pretty with an amusement park theme. So apparently the mascot was actually of an old HK amusement park of the past.We ordered a chef recommended caramel poached egg French toast and Chicken cutlet curry instant noodle.To be honest, I was shocked when the food arrived because it looked like poached egg making gone wrong. If you go past the look of it, it’s a normal French toast with a sad looking egg. Oh well so, stick to what others ordered which is the small bite French toast.The curry chicken cutlet instant noodle fared better. It had a generous portion of vegetable, dry noodles and chicken. Downside was there was too much water left at the bottom of the dish. A very watered version of curry, lacking punch in the spice factor. It’s not good, neither can I say it was bad.Overall, a very confusing experience, but it is a pretty nice ambience if I can look past my mediocre-tasting food choice. Came for lunch after our movie in Mongkok.Loved their shop icon, super adorableOrdered their French toast, pineapple fried chicken burger, a latte and iced mocha.We enjoyed the French toast most. The toast was light and the accompanying ice cream was nutty and sweet, went well with the toast.The pineapple chicken burger was average. Decided to come here to try this highly reviewed cafe.Portion was really generous and service was very quick. We ordered 雞翼牛腩面，炸雲吞，牛蛋治（烘底).Noodle was really good, the chicken wings was so tender. If you’re working, it takes a lot of planning to ensure you can get here on time before they close at 1.15pm. Finally was able to be here! Before we sat down, the lady told us that they had ran out of the toast and we could only order the noodles. Though disappointed, we continued to order our noodles and realised that everyone (about 10 people before us) was waiting for their food.It’s great to come in winter because it’s cool and we simply waited and chatted among ourselves. After observing, we realised we were the last customers and kind of lamented that we need to come earlier in future to try their toast.I think the lady may have overheard our conversation and to our surprise, she actually came to us later and told us discreetly that the owner said he could prepare one portion of the toast for us! We were so touched and figured out that they probably overheard us speaking in English and knew we were not locals. And because we were the last customers, he probably knew he had some ingredients and could spend the time leisurely preparing for us.So thanks to their kindness, we had the opportunity to try the super decadent corned beef omelette with cheese toast that was filled with lettuce and peanut butter. Came here after dinner for mocha and chocolate supreme! Was unaware they serve mains so probably will come by again for meals. Chocolate cake was dense and rich, hits the spot with their coffee which is mildly bitter but smells wonderful. Ordered the drink and cake as a set and it’s worth it as the drink goes at half the price. Together with the whiff of flower fragrance, it’s a nice spot to chill, sit back and relax!
