I decided to check this cafe out after reading many positive reviews. It was located at the upper part of ta ping shan street (after climbing the stairs if you walk from Sheung Wan). This neighborhood is getting more and more arty with art galleries, cafes and creative-looking shops every time I visit.maybe because of word of mouth, this cafe was fully of customers (both locals and foreigners) when I visited on a Sunday afternoon. When I walked in and looked around, I was ignored by the staff the whole time as they were busy preparing food. Not very welcoming I must say. Even when I approached them at the cashier, though they were not rude or anything, they were a bit too straightforward..even less friendlier than the ones you would meet at a fast food shop chain (at least they'd smile a little) The human touch I was looking for was missing in this kind of cafe. Maybe they will serve better on a less busy weekday.Anyway, I ordered the Keemun tea with honey and dates. It comes in a unique looking mug and taste pretty nice. I sat down at a communal table and just lounged around until they closed at 7pm. 突然同朋友想揾地方傾偈，唔想光顧大集團快餐店，就誤打誤撞入咗呢間茶餐廳。自己叫左豬扒包下午茶 ($16，包飲品)，朋友就叫左脆皮珍寶熱狗包($16)。完全冇期望之下，兩個包都令我喜出望外。麵包熱烘烘，很脆口，成為咗個包好味嘅一大關鍵。豬扒也恰到好處，同個mayonnaise幾夾。 個珍寶腸包就份量足，也是新鮮卜卜脆，好味道！平靚正！雖然此店裝修此較古舊，但係睇得出佢哋烹調食物幾有誠意。可能我好耐未食過一個似樣嘅豬扒包V_V！不知其他食物質素如何，希望下次有機會試吓啦！…查看更多

FCC is a popular hangout for the expat community and famous for people watching (ranging from local journalists to silly gweilos)Though I am qualified to be a member, but the FCC doesn't really fit into my current lifestyle, and the rates for local journalists are good value for money, especially when there's a discount during the promotion period. For $1000 joining fee and $250 monthly fee in the first year, you can enjoy one of the best private membership clubs in Hong Kong.Let's get back to the food. The Openrice incorrectly lists the FCC as serving French cuisine. Instead it serves a wide array of international cuisine from Chinese fried rice to Indian curry to British roast beef. The last few times I was here, I was working so I didn't pay much attention to the food.But yesterday my friends (one of whom is a member) and I had the signature dish Yorkshire pudding and roast beef for lunch in the Main Bar that is also a beautiful Victorian-style dining hall decorated with press clippings, magazine covers and photographs on the walls. I am not much for British cuisine, but the meat is properly done and tasty with the gravy. But what I really like is the drink (gunner, a drink favored by British expats in Hong Kong. It consists of equal parts lemonade or ginger beer and ginger ale) and the dessert, a light, small layered cake with chocolate and orange flavour.
