Who doesn’t like lunch with a nice view. Trying my luck today without reservation and got this magnificent Victoria view. I sat for 2 hours. Had loads of fries. I’ve been to all the other La Vache. While the steak, drinks and frites are consistent across different branches, this one has the best view. Savor each random happy moments. I had also stuffed myself with lots of bread coz i do like the French butter and non stop top up of frites. We had the medium rare steak, done to perfection. Place was full on a rainy night. The food was good, that explains it. Friendly family like vibes.We had the meat lover which includes a beef Wellington, lamb rack, pork with apple sauce, baked potatoes and garlic veggies. Except potatoes which were slight under, rest was perfectly cooked. Seafood pasta-good seafood, pasta slightly over for me. Prefer it more al dente but they are not an Italian restaurant so I’m not complaining.Mussels fresh and sweet with some freshly made garlic bread for you to dip into the white sauce. The crab cakes were yummy and salad was crisp. The white wine was fruity and sooo good for that price. 一個月去咗3次😂比較一下唔同雞嘅味道，豉油雞其實好滑同埋都醃得好入味，亦都唔係好鹹。而芝麻脆皮雞因為係烤雞所以個皮好薄同埋好脆再加埋芝麻香，忍唔住係要食埋層皮😜至於炒菜方面，我通常都係叫薑汁炒芥蘭，但係佢水準唔係好一致，因為要視乎啲菜係咪新鮮，最近一次比較老，所以麻麻哋好食。除此之外佢亦都有一個鹹蛋黃炒青豆，好食嘅但係冇諗過都係好炸咁樣嘅做法，所以比較熱氣🥲至於甜品方面我通常都會叫一個點心，尤其是甜嘅包點，通常係奶皇包，因為個樣可愛同埋好味…查看更多

Glad to be the first reviewer! Was around the area yesterday so popped in this hidden gem. Lovely coffee and tea. The tea is from The Chas , a HK based brand so definitely worth supporting local brands.The cafe is small yet cozy. There are around 4-5 seats. With the cozy vibe, you get to talk to the cafe owner about the cafe development. Also there are some crochet headbands for sales. Each one of a kind handmade. For snacks, I see some cookies and madeleine. Another patron went to get the madeleine and I see the owner wrapped it in a very cute candy shape. Getting cooler these days so went for hotpot Friday night. Seating was quit comfy and didn’t have very horrible hotpot smell with me when I left. Food was reasonably good quality considering the fair price. Good variety of meat, seafood and veggie choices and most importantly the veggies are fresh. I ordered the chicken steak burger but they gave me a wrong beef burger. For salad, we had the mango green grapes beetroot, quino with yuza dressing. The salad on the lunch menu is quite refreshing and you have a flexibility of adding extra for the A La Carte drink which is good. I quite like the honey espresso I had. I have been to here many times whenever I crave Tom yum. The restaurant offers a limited variety of skewers and authentic Thai choices. I’m very bad with fish with bone but luckily this time I checked with the waiter. Their grilled fish uses sea bass so only big bone and you can see the chef grill it for you if you seat at the bar table. Man their grilled fish is good and i went back the next week for it again! (1) Avo & radicchio salad with balsamic (2) starter- raw black truffle beef carpaccio, the taste was slightly bland, not beefy ; raw black truffle tuna, same bland taste (3) pasta spicy nduja / seafood orecchiette both are good with al dente texture (4) main - beef fillet, was okay not super chewy ; fish stew - not bad except the fish was bland and finally dessert you can never go wrong with gelato. Wow i love all the dumplings here. Heard that they moved from the old place to bonham road near HKU. All the dumplings are yum. We had the seafood one, pork and kimchi, lamb, sweet corn lava dumplings and the girl was kind enough to also gift us a dessert. Popped in for Friyay’s night dinner. Please book early as they are quite busy. Just learnt that they are doing special with klook (which we weren’t aware of XD). Their 2-3 flexible course is also a good bargain but we opted for A la cart.We had the miso cod kale, rice, pickled ginger and miso soup for our main then a chocolate bread pudding as a dessert. The cod was massive so was very fulfilling even for me. I couldn’t finish the rice because the bread was just sooooo good that I kept shoveling into my mouth. They gave you a pesto spread for the bread but as old fashioned as I’m, I always prefer the traditional way-butter! Same with the dessert, while the chocolate bread pudding was good, I prefer the old fashioned bread pudding with cubbed bread, raisin, cinnamon and vanilla extract. My go to Tapas place in CWB. They have a tasting menu which is very filling but tonight we are here for the drinks. The tasting menu usually includes a paella. Last time I felt like it was too much for girl.We ordered the wage beef cheek, clams clay pot with chili, garlic and parsley, the fried green peppers and the potato omelette and finally always ends with churros. Everything was good and I’m obsessed with their green peppers 🫑 The place is quite airy and as it’s still quite new, people still care and make an effort.
