Have been coming to sohofama for quite some time. Always used to recommend it to friends and visitors. Never again until their admitted food issues are resolved. A member of our party asked for regular (tap) water as we had ordered a bottle of sparking and she didn't want any. The staff told us they don't have regular water and we need to order bottled still water instead. This is a bit strange. I pressed for more details and the manager informed us that they they didn't have a water filter so it was bottled water or nothing. This seems to me to be a huge food safety and hygiene issue. Ice. Coffee. Tea. Cooking. Etc. All this uses water. So the restaurant appears to be using unfiltered tap water for everything! This may explain the previous review that mentioned food poisoning. The food overall is good. It's consistent across all branches. But there's something about this branch that has the worst service possible even by Hong Kong standards. The restaurant is maybe 1/3 full. Two waiters on the floor. They couldn't be botheres to care. We get seated. No one brings menus. Had to ask. Water had to a ask for two times. When inquiring about meat options the service didn't know (forget the fact that if you sit at the bar you have to walk to the other side to order your steak even though you are sitting right infront of him as the wait staff is incapable of taking an order). It got so bad (still 1/3 full) that even the kitchen staff was yelling service and being ignored by the guy and girl working here as they stood at the front chatting. Have been here a few times. Usually for the duck burger. Nice hidden spot that usually has a great low key crowd. Duck burger and a beer are the way to go. If you feel like desert then cookies and milk are the way to go (they’re freshly baked and warm). …查看更多
