Tried this new Japanese restaurant. I ordered the signature sea urchin rice which is served with three different types of sea urchin. The sea urchin rice was very fulfilling to eat but I would advise sharing it among 2-3 people as it would be a bit too heavy to eat it all by yourself. Apart from the rice, I ordered some sashimi and Japanese skewers. The scallop was large and fresh. So was were the prawns. For the Japanese skewers, we ordered some chicken wings, chicken and leek, chicken livers, sweet potatoes and lamb chop. The leek tasted super sweet. Speaking of Pici, I have previously tried the one in Wan Chai and the one in Tsim Sha Tsui East too. The experience I had so far were good. Therefore, I was really excited to know that they opened a new branch in Sha Tin. I often visit Sha Tin to watch movies so today was such a great opportunity to try it. Luckily, we actually were able to get seats right away especially on a Sunday evening as Sha Tin New Town Plaza is a very busy shopping center. I noted that they do serve some pastas that are different from other Pici restaurants that I have tried.For dinner, we ordered a starter, three sets of pasta, and a dessert. Starter: Cold cuts were decent Orecchiette , a tint of spiciness and very creamyTagliolini Truffle, with lots of black truffle carvings on top of the pasta, the pasta texture was aldenteGirasoli Porcini was a special pasta that only can be ordered after 6 PM. Sadly, I forgot to capture the moment when the pasta was cut into half and the egg yolk came oozing outTiramisu is always a must eat dessert every time I visit Pici. We went to try Safety Stop for the first time. Since we were traveling to HK island area that day, we thought it be nice to finish off our day with a lovely meal. It was a nice recommendation made. We ordered 1 appetizer, 3 main courses, 2 sets of dessert. Tiger prawns wrapped with pancetta was one of our favorite dishes. The potatoes were well cooked so was the confit duck. It was so nice to know that Pici opened a new branch in Tsim Sha Tsui East. I personally tried the restaurant in Wan Chai and found that they made really good pasta. Now I don't need to travel so far for good pasta . Me and my friend enjoyed an early dinner. Ordered two pasta and two sets of dessert. Love the Tagliolini, I believe that's a signature dish. I saw via a magazine article talking about this restaurant. I work in the Hung Hom area soI thought of giving it a try. I tried this restaurant during lunch hours. The restaurant is relatively small thus there aren't too many seats available. Fortunately, we came in fast and they had seats for us. Two lunch sets were ordered. I tried the cream crab roe bacon fettuccini. The taste was really good. The other dish was the all day breakfast. Overall quality is really nice. This new ramen restaurant has been opened for a few months. We haven't tried it yet as we saw so many people queue in line to try. Yesterday we noted the line wasn't too long so we thought of giving it a try. I do enjoy some good ramen. Considering this restaurant, there are a total of three ramen restaurants in the Tai Po Centre area. This restaurant is known for its salt based ramen soup. Two bowls of ramen were ordered, a limited special and one with assorted items. Limited special ramen: clam ramen, the soup wasn't too salty and you have the choice of adding extra toppings like black garlic paste, plum paste, or pomelo paste which is placed on the table. Enjoyed a relaxing Saturday lunch in Minden Lane. I saw I Food magazine discuss about restaurants in Minden Lane. I have always been fond of Italian food so I thought about trying it. Two main dishes were ordered. There is an open salad bar where you can select a variety of cheese, cold cuts and cakes. In terms of the price, it is not cheap. But the environment was really cozy and relaxing. The restaurant today wasn't a lot of people during lunch time. It is a really nice place to dine with friends. I heard that it is a well known ice cream brand in Japan. Now that they have set shop in Hong Kong. I thought I give it a try since I got off work early. I tried the regular flavor. It's the number 2 recommended. The flavor of the ice cream is decent. But the flavor of the milk isn't that strong, which certainly was a bit of a let down for me. I expected something better given the price. The cone is really crispy and it's different from the ordinary cone we normally eat, which is kind of special. I saw this restaurant through a food magazine talking about dining in Tai Po. I thought it would be really good that there is another option for Thai food besides the one in Tai Po MegaMall. Me and my family decided to enjoy a relaxing lunch. So I told them why not try this Thai food restaurant. What came as a surprise to me is that not many restaurants offer lunch menus on Saturdays. I liked that we have the option to order a lunch set. We each ordered a lunch set which comes with a drink. What was nice was we can pay extra to order some side dishes along with the lunch set. Therefore we chose stir fried vegetables and papaya salad. Next time when I visit I will try the dinner there. Had a lovely dinner with friends and family at this Spanish restaurant. I have already wanted to try it out seeing some positive comments people have made. I have always been fond of Spanish cuisine and the restaurant is located in TST which is awesome. We ordered several tapas and two main dishes followed by a lovely dessert to finish off the meal. Russian salad together with the capers adds a little saltiness to itToasted bread together with the Iberico pork is an excellent combi!!! The best dish in the evening, crispy skin of the pork together with cinnamon apple sauce enhances the flavor, the meat was tender and juicy. The greatest disappointment of the evening, the rice was way too salty. So we didn't finish off eating it. Plus the portion was a bit too small not what we expected.
