I was starving yesterday at 5:00p.m. When looking around different restaurant in Tsuen Wan Plaza, I found Maxim (MX) provided early bird discount dinner set. I ordered the beef fried fish rice set with soup and salad which costs 45 dollars, add 3 dollars for the cold drink. The fried fish is crispy outside but soft and fine inside. I think most of the people like going to Genki Shushi to have Japanese style food, especially the kids. We went to have lunch today but I felt bad as it is not kids friendly restaurant.Today, I ordered a bowl of pork Tsukemen for my baby son. When I got it, I found it may too dry for my baby. Therefore, I requested to have a little bit soup for feeding my baby. At the begining, the waitress refused to provide some soup for us. I explained to her that I need to feed my baby as my son doesn't like try noodle. The waitress asked for the kitchen and replied me that the noodle is dry like that. If you want soup you can ordered the other kinds of noodle with soup. For such a big restaurant with so many branches, the customer service is definitely disappointed. Having a hot pot lunch buffet on Sunday's afternoon. The buffet starts at 12, but so many people are waiting around 11:30. We arrived 11:45, but we were almost the last party could go inside. We ordered the Australian beef, chicken and pork shabu shabu set with collagen chicken soup for 90 minutes which is the cheapest beef set only costs $128 for adults ,$98 for kids. Although the beef is the cheapest, its tender and satisfying. And it is very fast to refill the beef for us. Also, there are lots of hot pot food provided, like different kinds of meat balls, dumplings, vegetables, noodles, sausages...etc. For the drinks and dessert, not too much choices but we still can find our favourite one. Having lunch buffet with my family on Friday's afternoon.Not too busy with spacious area for my kids. Different food choices with reasonable price.Cold dishes: oysters, goneplacide, shrimps, mini lobsters,mussels, ham, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, crab sticks... etc. and different kinds of shushi. Oysters are highly recommended as they are fresh with sweet salt flavor. Although the oysters are very popular and being empty very quickly, the restaurant refilled it very frequently. Salmon and tuna sashimi are thick and very fresh although we only could get two pieces each time. Hot dishes:Chinese style food: steamed chicken, barbecued pork, fried rice, dim sum, green beans soup, deep fried pork chop,sweet and sour pork, steak and rib...etc.For the hot dish, I am very surprised that we can eat the sweet and sour pork in the lunch buffet, as this is very Chinese traditional dish and its yummy. However, the deep fried pork chop is not soft enough inside. I think the pork chop is too big to fried, it makes the fring time longer which affects the quality. The most surprising dish is green bean soup, never imagine green beans can make creamy, sweet, and rich flavour. Indian style: curry beef, curry lamb, Indian rice. Yummy curry with spicy, but for me , it's too spicy. Dessert : movenpick, Haagen dazs, mango napoleon, tiramisu, strawberry egg white roll, mango coconut pudding ,green tea mosses, bread and butter pudding.the best dessert of course is mango napoleon with well balance between crispy and soft. the mango is very sweet too.The puddings are just the standard.…查看更多
