This place has been renovated a couple times. I love this place becuz of the fact that it is an historical site while its interior is moderately designed. It speaks for one of the Hong Kong features - a mix of old and new culture. When the weather is good, it is perfect to sit on the terrace! Therefore I have been here many times for coffee, dinner, and drinks.Tonight it is a causal chill out. I usually sit on the first floor but we are too lazy to walk up cuz of the heat, so we sat on the ground floor instead. Thanks god even it’s an open space with no door closed, the air con works so well that I actually got a cold at the end lol. We had Cynar Spritz and Berit Butter Spritz. Its set lunch costs only MOP198 for 3 courses (one starter, main, and dessert).I also ordered an extra dish - beef tartare, becuz it’s one of the simplest way to test the food quality. Bread, within standard. But the butter surprises meSnack - made of radish and is refreshing. Parisian style beef tartare - a bit disappointed of the beef quality (the color of the beef..) and lightly overloaded capers. Though the size is massive.Then I had my starter which is a form of mullet tartare “Black mullet marinated with citrus”. I enjoyed it way more than the beef tartare.Main: Mussels ‘ā la marinère’. I was seeking for girly and dreamy style high tea, there are many other crossover options. I finally decided to come here when it said By Terry, Rosy, Limited Time (until end of July), in particular I want to stick on the Kowloon side for the evening concert nearby hahaa.The theme is rosy. It’s a celebration for birthday. Very reasonable price!!! We ordered many things and wines blah blah. Ending up around $640 per person. I highly recommend ribs and duck legs. Honestly the ribs are in large size, you may have to get it at the super for $200 but here you can get it for $250! The duck leg: strong taste but well smoked! Love it! Basically i will come back again Becuz it’s such a good deal with the size of the mains. The only downside is that we had called up that we would have a bday cake to come along, the guy responded not mentioned anything about cake cutting charge or any potential pbms. When we arrived, the waiter said there is no space in their fridge but had to keep the cake outside the kitchen with no fridge but at room temperature. There are two choices of Takoyaki at Sogo Basement. This is a new store that I got to try out ;) While waiting for my Takoyaki 章魚燒, I can see that the chefs were very professionally efficient. The kitchen is very clean. That enlightens my appetizers and I couldn’t wait to have mine! Alright let’s get back to the Takoyaki - The outer layer was very crispy and crunchy, while the fillings and sauce are melted in my month! One of the highlights is that the dried bonita was given generously!!!!! While I didn’t expect much but the soft Takoyaki skin, I was wrong!
