Known for its exquisite and traditional tempura, Ippoh is a Michelin guide restaurant with 10 seating and requires advance reservations. A very sophisticated and cozy dining area that allows intimate gatherings. Known for their classic live band performance and white gloves service, Gaddi’s is the icon of The Peninsula Hong Kong. We ordered the lobster bisque, Hokkaido scallops, French veal rib, and a dessert tower. The bisque was creamy with fresh lobster bits and the scallops were cooked to perfection (perfect chewyness!). Octavium is the younger sister of Otto e Mezzo. With an intimate setting for small parties, Octavium gives each table enough space for a comfortable meal. I, along with three others, tried their 3 course dinner with a few a la carte items from the black truffle menu.Going by the picture order: the carbonara was very creamy and classic, but not super memorable - nevertheless they were very generous with their truffle as you can see. Picture 3 shows one of my favourites: the truffle with abalone. The abalone was very fresh and tasty mixed in with the gravy. Next comes the blue lobster with uni - the lobster was tender but also not too memorable. Lastly comes the Mayura beef! It was especially juicy and seasoned well 😌Overall experience was average. After numerous recommendations, I finally had the chance to try Bedu in Sheung Wan. We ordered the Chef’s Tasting Menu which featured a wide range of dishes. The lunch started with Homemade Flatbread with Hummus. Dip was very flavorful and the bread was very fluffy. Followed by honey baked feta which I really liked because the texture and taste went together soo well together. Among the most precious hidden gems tucked away in Sheung Wan, @nhau_hk serves authentic Vietnamese food with style. We ordered the classic spring roll, Banh Mi Tacos, Roasted Cauliflower, grilled Lemongrass Spring Chicken, and Grilled Octopus. Every bite had a burst of flavor and texture! My favorite was the Spring chicken (wrap it with lettuce and rice vermicelli!), the flavors neutralized each other and created the perfect balance of taste. Had to book months in advance. Honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been so far since coming back! Every course was so fulfilling, flavorful, and perfectly sized!We started off with the cold angel hair and caviar.
