My Indonesian buddy told me I had to check out this place, and I'm glad I listened. The restaurant is right in the heart of Mong Kok, super easy to find. When the Nasi Bakar Spesial hit the table, I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the presentation. The rice was all grilled up with a nice smoky char, and it was packed with flavor. They have loaded it up with a ton of dry fish, dry squid, spices and aromatics, because every bite was bursting with that authentic Indonesian taste.On top of the rice, they had some juicy fried chicken and a bunch of fresh veggies. I’m a big fan of Lady M's cakes, so I was excited to try their new Strawberry Crepe Cake. Unfortunately, this particular offering didn't quite hit the mark for me. As foreigner living in HK, this is such a hidden gem I stumbled upon in Mong Kok! This Vietnamese spot totally hit the spot after a long day at work. The Grilled Chicken with that tangy green apple sauce was the perfect start. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful - loved the charred notes. Then the amazing Coffee Soft Bone Pork blew me away. That pork was fall-off-the-bone tender and the coffee really elevated the dish in a unique way.
