So my partner and I came here for lunch. Now here's the thing:-Food is great.-Service is good.-Vibe is proper.-The bill will hurt. I've tried countless steakhouses and quite a few fine-dining restaurants. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, but the price of each dish might be a shocker. Every dish was executed well. The steaks were juicy, the seasoning was sufficient, the beef tartare is one of the best you'll ever try, the fish and its' compliments all blended well together. The ONLY disappointment was surprisingly the wagyu steak. It's not bad, just seems to lack a Wow-factor. Here the thing, its a great place, but given the price (almost $1500 per pax for lunch), it's harder to recommend as there are other restaurants that, quite frankly, would be worth your visit instead. If you're there on a date (and a need to flex), or celebrating a special occasion, by all means this is a great choice. If not, I personally would pass.   …查看更多

Bruh fr, give this place a shot!No point in going into details and dissecting each dish. All you need to know is this place slaps hard. This family-run restaurant is what Hong Kong needs more of.  The great thing about this place is the service. My mother booked this place for my birthday. Knowing this, the manager gave us (legit) for free a special unlimited Spanish beer. Then, as we pre-ordered the crab curry, he went out of his way to Whatsapp my mother and sent a pic of him in the market grabbing the fresh crab he was going to use, whilst asking if the price was alright with us. Like, who does that these days?! The food quality is exceptional for its price. My mother told me everything was only $300 per person. We ordered a total of 5 dishes (I only took a pic of these 3). The portions are NOT small, which was even better considering the price of each dish. Most of the starters were under $100, and the mains were about $120-$200. The place was fully packed, which is already an indication of this restaurants' excellence. Wow. Just... Wow. *clap clap*Having checked other reviews, I genuinely thought that the food would only have great 'looks'. This meal was equally important for me as it was the first meal my parent would meet my partners' parent. I wasn't sure whether this would be a great choice, but like any Gen Z would say. "YOLO!"When you first arrive, the interior looked good, a little too good. "Here we go again...", I thought, believing this was going to be just another gentrified dim-sum place targeting peoples' eyes instead of their mouths. You will be very, very confused in the beginning as the tables allow hotpot. I only figured out that they have a hotpot menu at night. Vaguely looking, its not cheap, but you can tell the ingredients they are using aren't cheap either. We ordered a massive amount of different dim-sum (I didn't get some shots of a few, just way too many). The food quality,taste, and presentation all live up to the hype. You'll find yourself in awe with every bite you take. It baffled me at how well the dishes were presented whilst maintaining great taste. Ever been told a place was 'dog-friendly', and yet there was absolutely nothing friendly about it?Well, Wanland IS certainly a dog-friendly cafe. Not only do they have a dog menu, but they have an outdoor seating area that is reasonable in size. Most importantly a proper hook to leash your dogs. They have them on all four corners in the outdoor areas, allowing you to actually relax and enjoy your time with your dog. I'm sure we've all experienced that one time you went to a cafe, only for your dog to see another dog and they start lunging at each other whilst you struggle even to have a free hand to drink or eat. If your furry wants something to eat, don't worry! They have a full dog menu with cooked meals for your dog! It's not the cheapest thing to order, but hey, who doesn't spoil their pet, right?The owners themselves will come out, greet your dog, and flood your furry with treats. They are considerate to ask beforehand whether your dog is OK with eating certain meats before giving them out. I appreciate that fact as some people believe every dog is alright with chicken and (not joking) some people don't believe dogs have allergies. Their food was delicious too! (I forgot to take a pic of their all-day breakfast meals. I would say it is on par with Oma, Tai Hang). Their lemon tart is just sour enough to tingle your senses without you squinting your eyes in pain. Their latte is good, although in terms of flavor, it might not be strong enough for some. Don't even bother going to fine dining restaurants for pizza. Going here is an experience I will never forget. EnvironmentSmall, very small. The decoration and furniture are great looking and suit the ambience, which tends to be more on the romantic, dimly-lit side. FoodOrder every pizza. For real, order NAY pizza and I dare you to say it isn't good. If you want a classic one (which in my opinion is the best I've EVER had in Hong Kong up till now) is Diavola By Giovanni. Bruh fr, get it. Thank me later. The other pizza, A'salsiccia, is great as well. It's apparently a Top 50 Pizza (I don't know much about this competition, but a number of their pizzas made it on the list). This is more of a twist but it's incredible. This is a uniquely delicious pizza. All the desserts were top-notch. I would say the Tiramisu is the best among all (there are many gelato places in Hong Kong, so might as well get one that is less common, right?) The Best Part3 people, 2 pizzas and the burrata appetiser, 3 desserts and 1 drink. Welp, there's not much to say as Elephant Grounds has now become a staple in many regions in Hong Kong. Coffee as always is good. Yeah, ayt. Ok, and...? Yeah good. OK. As for the food, the muesli bowl with yoghurt. Could you make this at home yourself and save 10 times the price? Of course! Would you want to? No. This dish is always great, especially when you are in a coffee shop with such an aesthetically pleasing environment and want to add some colour to your dish. Also, when you take photos, you look healthy!As for the pancakes, there are great. There are not fluffy at all and I could say almost excellent. However, they are packed with flavour and Elephant Grounds does not skimp on cream or syrup. I would definitely order this again, especially if I feel hungry but want something savoury. WARNING: It is very, very, very hot if you sit outside. The sun-rays strike you like a radiator on your face, your photos really become blown-out, and the fans around the area, although a greatly appreciated effort, don't seem to do so much. I've heard a lot about this place from friends. Having tried a variety of coffee shops, I think many could say that most coffee shops serve over-priced or very basic food that even you yourself could make better at home for a third of the price. Oma is not one of them. Their coffee is good (as should be). They provided me with a selection of 4 beans to choose from. I grabbed a random one. As much as I love coffee, I'm not a hardcore enthusiast so I won't go into much detail as I doubt I have the credentials to back up my claims. As for the food, all I can say is, amazing. This chicken leg took 30 minutes to cook. Yes, you really have to wait that long.  The Cajun sauce really gives this dish a completely unique yet aromatic dynamic. This dish is the perfect example of using such a general ingredient, giving it a twist, and then finding its way to your heart. The only, and only criticism I have is they didn't provide me with any gloves to eat this dish. The mangoes are juicy (although for a mango salad, they only put a few pieces which seems disproportionate to the veggies), and the prawns are juicy and refreshing. Nothing to complain about. New Zealand Mussels [$148]: tender, large, and the sauce has just enough flavour to give the mussels an overall kick without an overwhelming taste of alcohol. From the pictures, you can tell this isn't made the usual way in a pot. The chefs may have just made a pour-over sauce, but it doesn't matter because it still tastes great!US Baby Back Ribs : Tender, massive, and unbelievably cheap! I can't believe this dish is even priced at the lower $300 bracket. They provide you with plenty of fresh French fries and additional BBQ sauce if you like yours slathered in sauce. It was so much for my mother and I that we took half of it back home to eat as a dinner, making this dish both my lunch and dinner. EnvironmentIt is ok. Don't expect anything to be grand or full of well-thought-out aesthetics. The place is very clean and has no funny smell anywhere at all (you know when some servers use a damp towel to clean your table? Yeah, that smell.)There is a large outdoor terrace where you can eat, enjoy the sea view, and smoke. This is not the best photogenic spot, so really you're there for the food. Situated in Tim Sha Tsui, R&B faces fierce competition from both major conglomerates and other restauranteurs. Despite this, R&B stands out for several unique characteristics that make this place special and definitely worthy of a visit, if chosen correctly.My partner and I arrived at 3 pm. It wasn't packed. However, all of the 4 tables with the magnificent view (almost giving off a new York vibe) were taken. We asked whether we could move over once the customers there left, and they gave us a number tag as there was a queue system. This has never happened to me in Hong Kong. Many may say this could be a massive turn-off, but we got the table pretty quickly. Food Maddog [$138hkd]: I'm not a massive hotdog fan, but my partner seemed to like it. For me, the flavour was good, it has a sound bite, and the portion isn't small. However, I found it slightly underwhelming. The black pepper fries (included) were well seasoned and crisp. You can tell they made them fresh, so that's a plus!Double-grilled cheeseburger [$178]: Very, very surprisingly good! Instead of using a single thick patty that barely has any taste, they use a juicy yet flavourful thin patty and stack 2 together! They also have some sort of grilled crispy-orange thing (refer to pictures) and it isn't just a gimmick, it actually influences the overall taste in a positive way. Served with plentiful freshly-fried potato wedges, this massive burger provides customers with a very well-balanced yet delicious meal. EnvironmentThe vibe is really chill, with relatively calm pop songs or acoustic covers of songs being played throughout the day. The place is well-lit, yet not glaring. The place has a rustic design. Overall, the restaurant is well designed and there is plenty of space per table. From the pictures, you can see the 4 tables next to the window is absolutely amazing.
