Dinner at Thai Boys! A great thai place for dinner in tst! We had different types of dishes, from the carbs all the way to the drinks! we had the beef wagyu basil, which is very tender and soft, with thai spices making it a nice umami flavor. We also had the oyster omelette! the oyster and shrimps are fresh, along with the runny egg. the flavor is very well balanced, and definitely one of the dishes of the night.We also had the wagyu beef basil rice with fried egg. This is definitely my favorite dish of the night! the runny egg, the crispy part of the egg, along with the balance when you combined with the beef and the rice makes an amazing combination! We also had the thai boat noodle, with its meatball and beef ! the flavor are rich but nicely balanced as such not making the noodle too thick! Dinner at Thai Pai Dong! This is the newly opened thai place in mid level central! It has amazing vibe and good for you to have lunch/dinner after a tiring workday! We ordered the Crab meat omelette, which is very fluffy, flavorful and have a lot of crab meat inside! We also order the grilled wagyu beef, which is umami flavor and very tender! definitely one of the best dish of the night! Dinner at Sushi Masa x Taiko!We had omakase dinner at Sushi Masa causeway bay, There are 3 different options for omakase and we had the set for 398 hkd. We had some highlighted dishes! first we got the steamed egg chawanmushi. The egg was well seasoned, and was a good starter to the meal! then we had hamachi and white fish sashimi! Both are umami flavor and definitely fresh sashimi! We then had cooked pork, which is savory and umami with the combination of meat and fats together. We then had abalone, handroll, and one of the highlight of the night the Uni ice cream! such a combination of creamy, umami, and ocean flavor along with the crispy cone, makes it the dish of the night! Dinner at Cruce! this is a nice fusion of spanish and hongkong restaurant! we had a dinner here, where we order a few things! the first one we ordered is the sea urchin spanish tortilla! This is a unique combination of sea urchin, caviar, and the base of potato omelette. The caviar and sea urchin umami flavor are perfectly complimenting each other, and the potato omelette as the base help balanced the flavour for this dish! Then we had the tapas of Octopus al cruce. This is combination of potato mash, octopus, fish cracker and xo sauce! The octopus is tender, juicy, and have a great savoury flavour especially when combined with xo sauce and the fish cracker.Next we have our mains! We have the fish and clam ala goldfinch. This is an amazing dish, as we have the cooked clams along with the pan fried fish, which have a crispy skin, which are put in bak choi fish broth. The combination of the green broth with the fish and clam are great mix, it has an umami and savoury flavour but not overwheming taste! Dinner at Daai Zaak! This is a very nice restaurant located om 3rd floor of mira moon Hotel! We had the dinner set as shown in chinese below! We first got our osmantheous rice tea, which tested unique, but very nice! We started with the opening set, including abalone, nuts and crispy fish! These are a nice start to the dinner, with an amazingly crispy and cooked abalone! We then moved on to the next dish which is the fish maw and sea cucumber soup! both the soup and the meat was fresh, not bland and have a nice umami flavor! We then moved on to our next dish, which is scallop with crab meat! this is definitely one of the dish of the night! the crab flavor combined with the scallops makes a great combination, and with both meat really fresh, this is a very tasty and enjoyable dish! We then moved to our other dish of the night! which is the tiger prawn with 20 year old wine and egg! this has a very unique and umami flavor, it has the nice balance of richness and a good freshness of the prawn. The egg makes for a good supplement to this already amazing dish! We then continue with the sweet and sour pork! The pork is crispy yet tender, and this is one of the best sweet and sour pork i ever tested. The balance of the flavor, the texture, and the freshness are all on point! We then continue with our next dish which is our pan fried fish! this was a very fresh nicely cooked fish! and the special soy sauce to add to the fish makes the dish even more special! We then had our homemade ramen soup with fish maw, which is great. The ramen had a rich but not over powering broth, which is also very umami, and when eaten together with the noodle, really makes for a great dish! Then, we had our dessert which is taro with milk pudding. This is an amazing dessert. Dinner at Missy Cafe! This place is located very close to fortress hill mtr, a good location! We ordered a few dishes, such as steamed fish of the day, Sirloin Steak, the XO sauce shrimp, and the steamed grouper with vegetables. before it’s heard that the food quality from this cafe was average, but now it has been improving and the food tastes better than i have expected! dishes we ordered as follows:Steamed fish of the day This is the dish of the night! the Steamed fish is fresh, have a balanced taste, and good to eat with the rice! Its a well seasoned Steamed fish, not too salty, and yet not bland! Steamed grouper with vegetablesAnother fish dish that we ordered. This is also very nice fish dish! the fish is tender and juicy, a nice dish to eat. We are also impressed with the broccoli, which tasted amazing! its well seasoned, and have a nice umami flavor, different to normal broccoli in a nice way! XO sauce ShrimpWe had the XO sauced shrimp, this shrimp is big, fresh, and have a good combination of flavor with the xo sauce. They also give a generous amount of shrimp in the dish!Sirloin SteakWe then also ordered the Sirloin Steak, which is very worth it. This is a michelin guide restaurant, very popular south east cusine restaurant.the vibe for this restaurant is very nice, and the environment looks cozy, spacious, and a nice way to enjoy your evening. We ordered a few dishes, the first being Crispy salt and pepper tofu. The texture is unique! its quite crispy on the outside but then very soft in the inside. a good start to the dinner with its nice savory taste, but not too strong too! Then we had the black soya sauce turnip cake. This has a nice umami flavor, but also sweetness in the dish. A nice combination of flavor for this turnip cake! We then had the stir fry tomato egg with spinach. This is a very fragrant and nice egg dish, with tomato and spinach makes for a flavorful but balanced taste in your mouth! definitely one of the potential dish of the night!We then had minced pork, tofu and crystal noodles! this is definitely one of the dish of the night! the crystal noodles has a really nice umami flavor along with combination of tofu and minced pork together! the broth/sauce of this dish is amazing and it really helps elevating the dish to be even more tasty! Dinner at Vol 1 Cafe! Never realised this hidden gem in causeway bay! its a walk up building at 2nd floor, and it has a beautiful scenery of causrway bay.We ordered two mains, salad, and a drink. We had the earl grey milk tea, which has very rich tea flavor but balanced with milk, its like a premium milk tea, and not to sweet too! perfectly balanced flavor. We then had the salad with chicken breast and truffle sauce! the truffle is very and really tasty, combined with the tender chicken breast and veggie makes a good starter combination. We then move on to our mains, which are handmade pasta! We had the Crab meat lobster sauce carbonara, which has a nicely think and umami flavor of the lobster sauce, along with the nice savory flavor from the crab meat, and not to forget, the nice flavor and texture from the handmade pasta. Dinner at Juji! This is an A5 wagyu sukiyaki experience!They put the raw egg in front of us, as a sauce to be had with our beef! Before we start with the dinner, we had their drinks! Its a pineapple based and apple ginger based mocktail! both are refreshing to have before dinner starts!We had the A5 sukiyaki beef with egg! one of the most amazing sukiyaki i ever tried! beef melt in my mouth, added with the creamy ness of the egg and sweetneess and savouryness of the beef brings everything together! Dinner at tokenyo! We ordered 4 different menu during dinner time! we had their sirloin bbq to start with. Its juicy and it tastes great! have good combination of sweet and savoury ness of the beef! they provided the sauce on the side too, its good to eat with or without the sauce! Additionally, they also help us cook, so beef is cooked perfectly! We also had the bbq pork with chips! the chips is crispy and good combination when you eat it together with the bbq pork! really enjoyable side dish! We also had the bibimbap, this time with a chicken toppings! they have good balanced flavor of bibimbap, the sauce taste sweet and spicy but doesnt overpower the flavor of the whole dish! Dinner at ciclo! the atmosphere here is very cozy along with calming background music. We ordered 4 foods items in total and 2 cocktails! we have tuna tartare as the starter, along with the salmon roe bisque arancini. The tuna tartare is flavorful and fresh! have a hint of spicy, but have a good umami taste! really good combo to eat with the rice and nori crisp together! we also had this salmon roe bisque arancini as apetizer! the combination of cheesy flavor inside is delicious with the freshness of salmon roe on top, really a good combination to start the dinner! this is a really fresh start to welcome our main course! We then order the yellow chicken roll. This is a unique dish and turns out to be very tasty! the chicken along with the cauliflower combination blends really welll to give a savory flavor of the dish yet not too overpowering! a well balanced dish to eat at dinnee time.We then also have the nduja cavatli pasta, which consisted of prawn! this dish is also very fresh, and it gives a mix of different flavours, savoury and also a bit of sweet but blends well together as a main dish. We also have two cocktails which are tom yum and lychu hi! this is very unique as tom yum cocktail have lemongrass in it and definitely have a tom yum flavor! its not weird however, and have the nice balanced amount of alcohol in it! Dinner at Tamarind! Its a very nice and authentic looking thai restaurant.Their restaurant resembles eating in Thailand, even if we have a seat which looks just like tuktuk! We ordered 4 courses.The first is the thai signature pork basil rice with egg. It is very flavourful and it tasted very authentic, very fragrant but not too salty or spicy either! We then have the Wok fried rice with crab meat! the fried rice really have that wok heat smell, which is feally fragrant. The crab meat inside is also very fresh and combined really well with the fried rice! definitely one of the dish of the night! We also ordered the Thai roasted chicken. This chicken is tender, and seasoned really well. the seasoning doesnt overpower the chicken yet the chicken itself is not bland! really nice main dish to order! Lastly, we also have the beef steak. Dinner at Guts Soul! This is an all you can eat restaurant with variety of food that you can get! They have the sushi, sushi rolls, which are fresh! and its already seasoned well without the needs of soy sauce or wasabi! i tried their spicy salmon, salmon sushi, and their rolls! Its also not overwhelming where it hides the taste of the sushi but just enough to get the right seasoning! Then there is also the tempura which consists of different things such as shrimp and crab stick! Both are perfectly seasoned, crispy, and tender on the inside! We then also ordered their cook food! which are wagyu beef rice, and also the clam soup. The rice was amazing! its seasoned well with fried garlic and onion, with a sweet and savory beef which is perfect to be eaten together with rice! Their clam soup is also very fresh! a bit spicy but not too spicy! its perfect and well seasoned!Then for the main stage! we hd barbecue for chicken, pork and Beef! the chicken and pork are tender, and it has produced umami flavor when we ate them! The beef have different parts, such as the muscle and the wagyu! the muscle part of the beef is more lean, and the wagyu is fatty! both are great in their own ways! one is definitely more umami flavor, and the other being more beefy! Dinner at Yakiniku Luigi! We got the dinner set from the picture below.They have a lot of sauce variety including truffle ! We started the night with the sandwich of A5 wagyu tartare with caviar and parmesan cheese! This is very refreshing to start the night, the cheese is right balance, doesnt overpower the beef and caviar.We then continue with A5 japanese wagyu sashimi to eat with soy sauce or you can also eat it directly. Both are unique and nice in its own way! We then had the barbecue where we grill Beef rib A5 wagyu, which naturally itself have the umami flavor already without adding any seasoning. We also have the A5 wagyu steak cube, which was very tender, and with the egg yolk, really make flavorful umami taste, which is really tasty! the two dish here are definitely dishes of the night!We then had the ox tongue from the US, which is to our nice surprise, very tender, and very flavourful! We also had the Truth Donburi, which is an amazing rice dish. This have sea urchin, caviar, truffle, egg tolk, beef tartare and rice! combined together it makes an amazing dish, definitely felt really fresh, and very tasty and flavorful at the same time! Dinner at harvest house!This is a nice and cozy restaurant with a good japanese vibe.We ordered the following items from their online menu which are all really decent!We had the sashimi set, all the fishes are really fresh, and definitely no need any seasoning to eat, its already so fresh! We also had their beef tongue. This is amazing, the beef is tender, and juicy on the inside. It has the strong and good beef tongue taste, and also have the at umami flavor for us to taste!We also had the Shrimp roll! This is one of my favorite roll, and they have that perfect and seasoning combination between the rice, the shrimp and other seasonings inside, making it sweet, and savory at the same time! good to eat with /without soy sauce.We also had the Spicy salmon, which is really flavorful! the seasoning in the salmon combined with the fresh salmon itself, alongside the seaweed and the sushi rice is a great combination of spicy and savory and a bit of sweet! We also had their tuna roll, which is similar to their shrimp roll in a sense that the combination of flavor inside is perfectly balanced and the roll itself doesnt feel too heavy to eat! We also have the squid, which is surprisingly really tender and juicy, and fishy at all! a really nice cooked squid! We then have the spicy tuna, and also the tuna toro with spring onion. The tuna is high quality, fresh and is a great combination with spring onion, really make a unique but good combination.We also ordered the seared salmon, one in normal sushi style and another one is flower salmon. I think this is one of the dish of the night! the salmon is fresh, and when its seared it tasted even better, and without any soy sauce you can taste already all the juicyness and umami flavor coming out from the salmon!
