So we came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we arrived a little late, thanks to the TST traffic.We were “greeted” by two managers(?) who barely acknowledged us - too engrossed in dealing with a matter on their computer system maybe... so we waited until they greeted us. We were told to wait a second so we patiently did. Another man comes in and overtakes is whilst we were waiting and was led straight to his table where his friends are. We both raised our eyebrows why he was attended to before us... it wasn’t a great start to our evening. Despite this, we sat down and enjoyed the food. Each ordering a steak with mac and cheese and truffle fries to share. We were pretty stuffed, thanks to the bread starter.I say questionable service as we didn’t feel the service was on par to a 5* hotel. Was it because of our age? The waiters here are quite rude and impatient.As a overseas-born Chinese, I'm not able to read Chinese so I relied on their English translation. Being able to speak somewhat limited Cantonese, I ordered for my table. I asked A common question "are drinks included?" Which I was greeted with a hostile "yes, it's written very clearly here." I'm very sorry but I cannot read Chinese! So I went to ask what sort of drinks are there. Obviously this waitress didn't have the patience to tell me what she had. Having past this place numerous times on the bus, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out.As I had a bit of a dodgy stomach, we opted to go for the non-spicy options which included kimbab, hot stone pot beef rice, beef rib soup and beef tenderloin.The kimbab came first, which was ok. It was fresh but it would do as I was hungry. Next came the hot stone pot. My first thought was "wow what a small portion" but it wasn't too bad. Our soup came which was also ok but a little too salty.The worst was the beef tenderloin. For $130 you'd expect some decent quality meat but MY GOD. It was awful. 60% of it were bones and the bits we could eat were tough as rubber. We didn't complain. We just hoped that the owners and servers saw that we left 99% of the dish untouched.Definitely NOT visiting again. And wouldn't recommend it. The food was okay but I didn't think it was value for money. Tomato aioli bread that was bread saturated with oil! Nothing special. Some of the tapas we got was hit and miss however The ingredients were fresh.One thing I wanted to point out was the service. There were two staff members on the floor and we observed their behaviours. As we were a young 25yr olds couple, did the waiters purposefully not bother servicing us like other older couples? I felt that they were like "whatever" to us whereas they seemed a lot more diligent with others. I wonder why. Especially the main guy - was he the boss? Came here for lunch with my brother as it seemed decent. We ordered a standard beef burger, calamari and the taco samplers.The calamari came and it looked great! Unfortunately it was lukewarm so we didn't finish it all.I had the Grand Burger (I think) and it was pretty average. Not much meat inside compared to other restaurants I've been to. I do have to recommend their fries - they were deliciously seasoned! My brother had the taco sampler which was smaller than we expected but it was nice that he was able to try all 4 different flavours offered on the menu! can't remember what the flavours were but I think he liked the bbq type taco the best! overall, pretty average. Visited this restaurant after reading so many great reviews! I love curry and it's hard to find a good place in HK that does a decent one.The seating was slightly uncomfortable as it was a small restaurant but luckily, we went earlier so my bf and I could take up a 4person table. We ordered a chicken vindaloo and a beef kebab. We wanted naan but they were out of stock! Anyways, the beef kebab was a bit of a hit and miss. We both had half a side each however my bf got the chewy beef side and my side was quite tender! Maybe we should've gone with the chicken tikka...The curry was lovely however it wasn't amazing. The rice that came with the curry was typical wet, sticky Chinese rice which didn't really go well with the vindaloo. Would've been nice to have basmati and pilau rice! I've always passed this restaurant and have always wanted to try it because it looks cool. Unfortunately, I have realised you shouldn't judge a restaurant by its look. I ordered a fish burger (which is a mistake in itself). The fish was overcooked and the batter was greasy.
