We went there for dinner and birthday celebration. I've been there before but only for drinks on the rooftop bar so I was very excited trying the food there as well. :)I booked via Eatigo (so we got a discount on food items) but I still communicated with the restaurant via email as I am Vegetarian. They offered me two Vegetarian main dishes and I chose a mushroom dish as I had to preorder it....well... It became a surprise ...We arrived on time at 6:30. The restaurant was nearly empty, only two tables occupied. As I asked for a table at the window we got seated next to the window with a great, stunning view :) .We ordered 3 sides as appetizers.The cauliflower, tofu and eggplants. All of them were great - really tasty! The Cauliflower: The Tofu - with a really tasty sauce: Our favourite - the sweet eggplant, sooo tasty! :We waited for 20 Min for the appetizers - that's okay. As the restaurant wasn't busy at all by that time, we thought it might be faster ... Anyway :)Then we got the mains after 10 min. We ordered rice with the chicken Teriyaki. Surprisingly this dish was really big (and tasty) in contrast to the Vegetarian one...The Portobello mushroom dish... "contained" two mushrooms and onions. That's All. Nothing else, really nothing else... I was really disappointed with this dish. :(We also preordered the dessert - they knew that it was my birthday, that's why I "should" pre-order it...but the Matcha Cake came totally normal. The cake tasted really good but it was a pitty that they totally forgot the birthday as they seemed to care a lot in advance (so many emails and pre-order decisions - it became kind of annoying). I told them a bit disappointed that we expected a bit more as they knew the birthday before. They admitted that they totally forgot and apologized a lot! :)After 10 min they came with another dessert - now with a candle. We really didn't expect that, so we very surprised! :)All in all the experience we had there was very nice, the food very tasty and the service were attentive. I went there for lunch with a colleague. We wanted to try this place as I saw people queuing up in front some days before at another store. The prices are unbelievable, so we wanted to see what you actually get for so little money (at least especially for pizza and pasta which are normally more expensive here... ). We came there at around 12 o'clock. The restaurant was well visited but we got seated immediately. We ordered one pizza and one pasta dish from the lunch set menu and two garlic breads for 5$ extra each. The sets are more or less 38$ and include the unlimited drink buffet (warm and cold beverages) :)The breads arrived already after some seconds. They were lukewarm, but tasted good. Next was the pizza... Well, I don't really know how to describe it. It is a pizza...but not a real one. The bottom is just a bottom, really no good taste, the topping (you can really call it like this, it's rather two parts - bottom and topping, not really merged together like a really pizza (also not with lot of spices, herbs,... ) ) But the topping itself is okay. I always have to remind myself that it is so cheap! Definitely worth the money anyway. Finally the Spaghetti. It could have contained more mushrooms and, again, some more spices, herbs,... But still, it is definitely worth the money. They were really creamy.The place itself is a bit Italian like or at least it tries to be...I also had the feeling of an American diner but yeah... I went there with a colleague for lunch. The place was quite empty at 12:15. They offer a lunch set, but this isn't really different to the normal menu and not even much cheaper. Fortunately the menu is in English as well, whereas the service barely speaks English.I ordered the vegetables ramen soup and an egg, my colleague ordered the pork with sweet corn ramen and fried octupus balls (+10$).The vegetables soup tasted good, especially the soup base but it could contain more vegetables, especially mushrooms...The extra egg was okay. Nothing special at all.My colleagues liked the pork and sweet corn Ramen quite a lot..But the fried octupus balls were really sad. I went there with two locals on a Sunday evening - very spontaneously. At first we thought we get seated down at the normal Store/Restaurant but then the server showed us the way up to another seating area (there are stairs outside the restaurant, so u exit the restaurant and enter the building again next to the place to walk up to the first floor). It was quite busy (18:30) and we were happy we actually got seated immediately because after a while people had to wait for getting seated. The menu is really huge. As a Vegetarian I'm really not used to have a lot of choices (as a normal restaurant only offers a few veggie dishes)...but this place has such a big menu! I took a while to chose what we wanna order. Fortunately, the menu is in English and the translation do fit to the Cantonese ones, so I could have a look in the menu as well. :)We ordered a fried rice dish with fake meat and eggplants. I really like this dish, the noodles were really tasty. We also had another noodle dish, but not fried and with tofu and another type of fake meat. I liked the previous one more, but this one was fine as well. Personally, I think a bit more spice was missing.Then we had two fried dishes: the Taro Rolls and some milk balls with a sweet/sour sauce. I never had fried milk balls before. They are really tasty but rather a dessert than a main. The Taro Rolls were interesting but they didn't taste really special.Of course we also ordered the selection of several soy items, which I think was kind of small unfortunately because I really love these items. All in all, we (3 ppl) were so full in the end! The portions are huge! (Apart from the last one). The taste is not bad, but I also had better noodle dishes before. Normally I'd go to one of the branches of La Crêperie to have sweet crêpes or salty galettes. This time I wanted to give a try to this place. :) I booked a table (via Eatigo, 50% off) for 17:30 on a Sunday evening for 4 people. We were the only ones. The "restaurant" itself is really small. It's rather a bistro than a real restaurant. The prices are all around 60-90$. The have a good selection - enough to choose and for every taste, but not too much. They are really flexible. You can easily put more stuff one your crêpe/galette or replace an ingredient (like we did). It's a lovely Arabic (I think so ) couple running this place. They speak proper English. So we had some milkshakes, which are really amazing. The look awesome and taste good.We also shared three dishes (we weren't that hungry). So first of all we had "Cheesy Way" which contains three types of cheese and tastes, like the name indicates, really cheesy. We asked for some extra mushrooms. I really liked it (bit u definitely need to be a fan of cheese ). Then we ordered "Soho Vibe" and replaced the bacon (as I am Vegetarian) with more mushrooms. I personally think, this one is a really "normal" one (regarding the ingredients). It tasted good anyway. :)We also had a sweet crêpe. The "Crêpe Suzette" (La Crêperie offers this one as well, I had it there as well - the ice cream is a different flavour). I really like this kind of crêpe in general - with the "fire" and the little alcohol, it tastes awesome! We (2) booked one hour before via Eatigo a table for 18:00 on a Saturday evening (so we got 50% off food). The restaurant was completely empty, we were the only ones for almost 20 min, then the place started to get a bit more crowded.Actually, the style of the restaurant is rather local than Italian. That's probably the reason they sell the food sooo cheap! Pasta is normally for around 70-80$ and a whole pizza for 120$. The pasta portions are quite huge, the pizza quite small.We had both. The Ravioli was (compared to all the other pasta portions we saw) rather small but really tasty! I ordered a Gorgonzola Pizza (they only offer a few pizzas but really special ones like Gorgonzola, feta or chicken pizza). The pizza tasted really, really good! All in all we were really surprised! The location itself isn't really lovely, you order with a sheet of paper by ticking the dishes you like. But the food is really good, really Italian-like. I can really recommend to place for a quick lunch or even a cheap Italian dinner (which is actually rare, as Italian food is rather expensive here). :)…查看更多

We (4) went there on Saturday at lunchtime ard 13:30. We had to wait for ard 20 min till we got seated. While you're waiting, you already get the menu to chose and fill in your order on a sheet of paper. They even have an English/French/German/Russian menu but the translations are horrible! Only rely on the English one (I speak German and French and both translations were mostly... wrong, even awkward). Inside the restaurant they have another menu (on the table) and the English translations are even different to the ones of the menu you get outside (the content is basically the same, just more or less detailed).Well - so we got seated after 20 min. And the dishes arrived one after another (we ordered around 10, they all came within 15 min).We had two kinds of steamed rice rolls - the ones without any filling (traditional) and with the barbecued pork filling. I liked the traditional ones very much (I'm vegetarian), my friends think they are boring They liked the barbecued ones really much. Sui Mai - a classic one :)my friends liked it's rather one of the more expensive dishes with almost 30$Fried balls with meat - my friend loves them.Deep fried sesame balls - tasted really good, unfortunately only 3 of them Vegetarian Dumplings - one of my favourites! I'm really glad they offer veggie ones. And they taste awesome! Molten custard buns - I definitely had better ones, but okay.Shrimp Dumplings - my friends like them, tasted okay.Fried egg sticks with honey - a huge portion! And a bit hard to eat actually, because of all the honey and coconut But it tasted good.Spring rolls, unfortunately with shrimp. Good taste, but I put out the whole filling as I don't eat shrimp.All in all, I really liked the place. Apart from its Michellin Star, it is just so cheap! compared to other, "normal" Dim Sum" restaurants, it is really cheap! At first I tried to reserve a table for 5 via Facebook because I already asked about the price of the buffet and they immediately replied. But even after asking twice they didn't reply/confirm my booking. Finally I tried to call them. After several times I succeeded and someone was taking the call. They barely understood me, didn't ask me for a name or a telephone number but confirmed - of course noone knew anything about the booking when we arrived there. At least, we got seated but at a huge table with 5 others. We insisted on having an own table and after a while we got one. Wow. Great job! After all we had a table. We took the buffet for 128$ (they said it's for 100 on Fridays but there was a special holiday on that day...)The buffet is pretty similar to the one of the vegetarian restaurant some stores next to this restaurant.(that's how I found this restaurant) It is mainly Chinese but it also offers sushi, pizza, ...In general a lot of tofu stuff.Personally, I think the staff wasn't able to refill the food fast enough. So many spots were empty all the time I came to the buffet. The pizza was "gone" again after 1 minute. This indicates maybe that people like a dish so they should bring more, but they didn't. The staff cannot speak English at all, even asking for soy sauce is impossible.The taste of the food is good. I had dinner there with a friend. We booked a table via Eatigo for 18:00 (so we got a 50 % discount on food items when paying by credit card). As we were the very first in the restaurant we even had to look out for any staff member. Fortunately, the restaurant got a bit more busy after some minutes. The staff speaks proper English, the menu is in English as well and they offer a lot of vegetarian dishes (which I, at least, expected a bit as it is an Indian restaurant). I actually didn't find the typical Butter Paneer Masala and they only offer around 3 veggie paneer dishes (it's just that I love paneer, but for people who are fine with any Indian dish, they will like the selection of dishes).We ordered two mains and two different kinds of bread. While we were waiting for the food, we could eat the typical appetizer. The green sauce (I don't know its name but it is very typical) was good, the other "dish" I have never seen. It tastes far too sour... Finally our mains arrived. The mock Duck tikka Masala was okay, personally it could have been a bit more spiced, it tasted a bit boring.And the spinach Paneer which was definitely really boring. I thought at least that it has a bit more taste (spice, ...)...:(The breads were really good! Both! We went there for dinner (4 people). Because we booked via other app we got 50% on food items. Additionally, it was Happy Hour (until 9 am) which mean 50% on beer, house spirits and wine. So all in all we payed half of the price for everything but 10 % service charge on the original price. As the menu mainly offers burger, pasta, risotto and steaks as mains, we ordered a lot of appetizers because they sounded much better too us (kind of a bit more special food). As I am vegetarian I ordered the so called (vegetarian) Ceasar salad. They haven't really got a lot of vegetarian choices and I already wondered how a Ceasar salad can be vegetarian, as it normally contains chicken. But...they even surprised me more! No, the salad didn't contain chicken...but bacon. I mean ... what?!? :(I told the service I am vegetarian and that was also the reason I ordered this dish (as the vegetarian symbol is next to it! ). The staff told me then that I should have tell her that... I mean, why? I considered the dish to be vegetarian, because this is what a symbol like this normally indicates and not that I have to tell the staff when ordering. Well, she came back with a salad with croutons and cheese (I asked for gorgonzola instead of parmesan) - this is the Ceasar Salad. Wow. Poor. Well the truffle fries we ordered were good, but actually a bit overpriced for 75$ (luckily we had the discount).The nachos contain meat. I really don't know why because the dish is totally well working without! I put off the little meat the dish contained and tried it as well. It is really good! But it should be served with a dip anyway. We also ordered the Chicken Satay and the chicken strip. As I didn't eat them, I cannot tell how they tasted. They looked fresh and my friends liked them.All in all our table looked like this then:With two portions of fries (and I had a salad additionally) the food was enough for 4 people. It has an average taste, but without the discount I wouldn't be worth it.The service is okay. Normal beer around 60-70, their house spirits (gin, bourbon,...) 63 - during HH half price means you pay around 30 $ for a drink. I went there with 7 others (including one holding the membership). It was Monday evening and the restaurant was almost empty.We stayed outside as the temperatures were fine and they even had some fan heaters. The staff speaks proper English (all of them, around 4 people took care of us).We ordered dishes to share, basically Chinese and Indian food, but the menu is enorme! The restaurant offers (a lot of) vegan and vegetarian stuff, gluten-free, Indian, Western (Burgers), Italian, Chinese... I literally have never seen such a big selection of food in only one restaurant! As I was the only vegetarian, I ordered some veggie dishes for me only and ate some of the vegetarian ingredients of the other dishes.The table was actually far too small for all the food we ordered, so the staff put things together on the plates. Normally a very huge and more or less cheap menu indicates that the food itself is not like ... a "wow". But in this case it's totally different! The food was really tasty! The Indian food tasted like from an Indiana place, the pizza (they even asked me whether I wanna have it cross/thin or not) became one of my favourites here in HK and the Chinese food is of high-quality. Expecting that it will take a while for the kitchen preparing all the food...we learned back - surprisingly the food arrived after some minutes already! Normally you get around 4 spring rolls...here they serve 8!!! Price performance is awesome! The portions are fair and some are just huge! And the taste is good anyway. On their menu, they often offer a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option, like the Samosa. The fish sizzler arrived like a sizzler should - still sizzling. They even managed this one! I was so surprised that the were not overwhelmed by our order.All the Indian siders put on one plate as we didn't have enough space. The rice and the papadum tasted great! The vegetables were realllly fresh!:)The Pizza (also gluten-free options available! ) was really thin/cross as I ordered it. It tasted great! :)The pancakes come by two so we ordered 4 portions (8 people). They were still really warm, butter and cream is coming out of it when opening. Really, really tasty! All in all I was really surprised by this restaurant in a positive way! I literally stumbled over this restaurant! Unfortunately you would hardly find it via OpenRice as it's saved with its Chinese name. Even by entering "Veggie Food" you cannot find the restaurant...Well, anyway, I saw the sign of the restaurant with "vegetarian" when passing by and decided to go there the very next time I'll be around - now I tried it. First of all: the menu is in English! Thumbs up!!! Really! It's so hard to find a local, cheap (and vegetarian) restaurant having a English menu as well. I didn't order a soup (all around 40-50$) as I wanted to try several dishes. All the soups I saw looked good, basically like in normal local restaurants, just the meat replaced by something vegetarian.Some of the dishes arrived immediately like the steamed rice rolls with soy sauce, sesame and peanut butter, some took a while (like the fake chicken skewers). :)As already mentioned, I ordered a glutinous rice roll (20$) which was already packed and ready to eat so I could start immediately! It tasted good, never tried one before. Actually I'm not sure whether it is really vegetarian... does seafood count as vegetarian? Personally, I don't eat meat and seafood, so eating seafood would be a bit awkward. I'm not sure. As the staff couldn't speak proper English, I couldn't ask them. :( It seemed to be real seafood (I mean...how to fake fish/meat floss??? )Afterwards the vegetarian chicken skewers for 30$ arrived. I was really surprised! It tasted really good! But again: what did they put around? Fish floss? I'm not sure. But the base "material" of the Skewers was definitely vegetarian! I especially loved the sauce! Last but not least: The steamed rice rolls with soy sauce, sesame and peanut butter. I love rice rolls and they were really good! Such a big portion for 16$! Awesome! All in all: I like the place very much even if I'm really not sure about the fact, whether the consider seafood as vegetarian or not...:( Next time I'll try to only take dishes which are without seafood anyway. - English menu - a huge selection of dishes from sweet to salty, soup and non-soup items, vegetables and soy products, wheat gluten... - no long waiting - not sure whether they use seafood as ingredients (and consider it to be vegetarian - some places in the world do so, some not) :(- more or less clean - friendly stuff (for HK conditions) …查看更多

It's a nice, hidden eggettes Store in the Argyle Centre in Mong Kok. It sells mainly eggettes but also some waffles, both, sweet and salty.I went there on a Sunday. Busy time in the afternoon but only one person there - taking the order, baking,... So you have to wait a bit.I ordered a salty cheese eggette. It tasted good, not like a "wow" but good. I think the prices are a bit too high. We booked this place via other app for Saturday 19:00. As this place is rather a lounge/bar than a restaurant, it was quite empty at this time (maybe 4 tables occupied).The restaurant is (close to) at LKF, but more or less hidden and a bit less noisy. Its at the 3rd floor of a building.After taking the elevator up to the 3rd floor, you enter into another world actually. Wahtiki Lounge looks like a real authentic exotic beach bar. Wooden chairs, stylish colourful flower chains, tropical Cocktails,... Still: This place is an upper class Lounge/Bar. The service has a strong hierarchy, some staff members are only allowed to serve food, others are mainly there for explaining the cocktails to you and taking the order. Accordingly some can speak perfect English, and some didn't even understand the word "salt"... The bar actually doesn't have a huge selection of cocktails, basically sweet (sweet-sour) tropical cocktails with Rum. What I like really much, is that every single cocktail is served in another kind of "glass"(some in a jug, some in a massive cup), for example (I'll upload some more photos seperatly as I can only upload 12 in total within this review):They had Happy Hour till 8:30 which means 2 for 1, but you are not allowed to share with someone else, so you end up around 140-160 for two (really special, good and huge) Cocktails which is a good deal I think. Actually, we came there for Dinner (with cocktails but not for only having some cocktails). We (3 people) shared two appetizers.Mango Tortilla for 70$ (really fresh and tasty!)And some cheese nuggets with a spicy sauce (we were 3...a little detail: why did they not just bring 6 instead of 5 nuggets...just thinking a bit) They were not special at all, but expensive: 90$As mains, we ordered the Garlic Pawn and avocado Linguine for 170$. The size of the portion was okay, the taste as well....and the sun dried tomato Pizza. It was too small - no real Pizza Size , but good taste indeed.We also had the Kabob Chicken Skewers. 3 pics for 100$. A bit overpriced and it took a while.This is how the menu looks like. The have two - one for the mains and one for smaller dishes, appetizers. Unfortunately they don't have any dessert at all. As we ordered so many things and the staff seemed to have a lot of fun with us, we (surprisingly) got three spicy shots for free. Really nice gesture! At least... reasonable as we spend 1300$ ...We liked the bar really much. But without the Happy Hour and a Discount because of booking via other app, it is too expensive for what you get in the end. I tried the 60-min Lunch Deal for 62$ (+ service charge) without any additional pork. Of course 60 min isn't a long time, especially not for Hot Pot. Still I think it is a really good deal as you already get the Pot with the soup base after 2 min while you can already pick all the vegetables and stuff you like. The restaurant is really clean (all of their stores), the buffet itself has a good selection (could be a bit more but it's already really good), the vegetables are very fresh and the drinks and desserts included make the deal even more valuable! Actually they could really have some more ingredients for the dipping sauce, they only had a few (mainly types of soy sauce).The buffet offers around 3 types of mushrooms, some salads, taro, corn, ...and a lot more! Really enough!As well as a lot of noodles:And of course sausages, balls, tofu, wheat gluten,...Last but not least, the have some rice, all kinds of soda / tea and a dessert station (ice cream):The staff is attentive and able to speak at least broken English.I personally really like the place! It's even perfect for Vegetarians (tofu, wheat gluten, a looot of vegetables,...) only the soup bases aren't that veggie-friendly. :(All in all: One of my best hot pot experiences so far (as it is such a cheap option compared to other places)! …查看更多
