The location of the restaurant is unbeatable. It is right on the waterfront. Ordered 生菜包， pad Thai and 炭燒魷魚. The first two were quite good and the portions were generous. However the service was very far from satisfactory. In fact I think the waiters need to take a course in Waitoring 101. 等左1/2 hour for the squid. Asked the waiter and he said 整緊, another 15 min. We then asked another waiter and he brought us our bill 😡Asked the first waiter again. We complained that we chased twice and there was no response. He said 巳經追左佢地，then waited another 10. Tried this new restaurant in central. Reviews for other branches seem positive. Quite full on a Sunday night. Had two of their pizzas :seafood and pork sausages which were both very good Their linguine with smoked eel was good as their pasta was hand made. Their Australian sirloin was also good but a bit over cooked (asked for medium but came medium rare ) Tiramisu was disappointing given the great reviews for their cakes. The sponge cake was dry. The sacher cake was better but I have had better ones. Their ice cream were on the seeet side and they give you large scoops. Went there because it seems to be a popular restaurant in the building. They have a $288 set dinner which is very good value as it includes appetizer (salad or add $38 for sashimi salad ), miso soup, main course (can choose crab casserole, sushi or rack of lamb) plus house dessert. Of all the main course I think the beat value are the lamb and the crab casserole. The lam is huge and the crab very fresh. We added $68 to upgrade to their honeycomb pancake which is enough for 4. Was so happy to be able to dine out after almost two months. The atmosphere was very vibrant and service was friendly (a bit understaffed as the place was full on a Monday night ). The appetizers were great (beef and salad ), the pasta were excellent (linguine Vongole and fettuccine with mushrooms ). This restaurant has been Around for more than 1/2 century. Their 東江鹽焗鷄has been a childhood favourite. So glad to see them still around after so many years With the pandemic and no dine in after 6 it has been really difficult for them. I was so happy to see them offering 盆菜for Chinese New Year. They offer set lunch for $450 per person including starters (cheese, salami, prosciutto, cheese etc platter), choice of two tapas, main course, dessert and coffee.
