Lunch for 4. Ordered Iskendar and Chicken Donar, Iskendar Donar arrived with beef pieces drowning in gravy, deep within it's innards were tiny cubed sized soggy pieces of pide (sorry no pictures of this abortion). Disappointed by the pitiful pide pieces, a plain pide was ordered - it should have been better described as a re-toasted burn biscuit. However, as burnt biscuits went it wasn't too bad with a freshest of charcoal flavors.The Chicken Donar was much better and I would have it again - if the Iskendar repulsion force field ever let me set foot again in this restaurant.…查看更多

Although known as a food Mecca, the general standard of restaurants in HK is desultory. Driven by their high overheads HK restaurants provide substandard fare with matching service. This restaurant however is a gem. It is an oasis in the urgent noisy bowels of the Wanchai Road pedestrians and traffic. We ordered the Falafel plate, the beef Pide and Turkish coffee. Our expectations were low - surely they weren't going to turn out anything resembling a real Pide from that small kitchen The relatively long wait for the dishes was rewarded when with the appearance of the Falafel plate, done to near perfection and served with an assortment of sauces.The Pide however was the surprise, well exceeding expectations, the crust, although might have benefited from heat of a clay oven was excellent. There was no shortage of cheese and it's appearance and taste confirmed the care used to prepare it.Presently, it's not frequent to find restaurants preparing and producing food with authentic care and presentation, this restaurant is one of those.…查看更多

One of the few Northern restaurants around. Located in a busy area infested with office workers during the lunch break, however head over there during the afternoon for their tea sets when it's quiet.I had the pork chop/vegetable rice set and my friend had the Shanghai wonton noodles set. The pork chop was succulent and juicy while not greasy. The wontons were also delicious well presented parcels of meat.It's clean, the service is quick and overall, very good for the price. …查看更多

Attractive window displays however what awaits inside is very different. We went for afternoon tea, braised pepper steak on a hot plate with noodles, seafood udon on a hotplate and fried chicken/pineapple rice. The noodles were oozing with oil and something expected from a dai pai dong in an alleyway. The fried rice was done right.This restaurant's cleanliness can only be described as disgusting. The restrooms and the kitchens resembled a never washed abattoir. The carpets displayed the remnants of years of food droppings with well trodden dark greasy paths.We left nervously, regretting our choice and fearing the after effects of our meal.…查看更多
