A favourite restaurant I had before. Come with my friend again to try their steak. Not sure the other starters so we order a bit save like Lobster Bisque and Caesar Salad🤔. Quite surprise the Caesar Salad they served with the entire romaine lettuce and decorated the seasoning on top! The Lobster Bisque was very concentrated but slightly small for my friend. 😆Order a US prime Rib Eye as main course, juicy and tender as normal and we can taste the quality of steak is different than before 😍... good enough!! Of course a bottle of nice wine to pair with the steak that we can’t miss! The wine list is not too bad and they unexpectedly have Chateau Talbot!!😘I like the environment here always because you won’t find any space to eat behind a garden view but the heart of city. Hanging around TST with my friend and come over to my favourite restaurant The Stable. Ordered a Mussels for sharing then a steak as main course. Good as usual, the Rib Eye steak and Rack of Lamb were tender, juicy with a charcoal aroma...nice! When I ask for the bill, the staff was very courteous to offered me a discount card (20% Off till 15/8) for next visit. Beginning the new year, I come over again the Grill room (The Stable) from Hullett House!They’re going to promote a new menu beside a la carte which call Surf & Turf.Definitely order one to try as I’m the steak lover!When the dishes placed on the table and it comes with a glass of house wine which is nice that I don’t need to think what to pair with.Myself and my friend both loved Rib Eye steak, so one match with half Lobster and other one with Hokkaido Scallops. 我都係聽人介紹才過去一試，鋪位較難找，一入門口見到有四五個員工連廚師一齊吃飯，跟那個收銀阿姐高聲在閑話家常高興得很！冇人招呼便自己坐下了，但地方比較不潔因為地下很多殘餘飯羹，也吧，我想著朋友說那個豬扒菜飯很好食，於是找個員工下單，叫了兩聲唔該冇人應我於是行出柜臺叫，怎料那個收銀阿姐叫我坐回那枱等一會，她繼續與其他在吃飯的員工高談闊論，什麼東西呀！她或者係老闆都唔定，我不是什麼大客但我覺得自己好像在作賤找死！原來想吃好西這麼難，到最後什麼都吃不到一肚氣離開這鬼地方！這可能係openrice 第一個未吃到什麼便寫評論的人，真心不是想為難人家小鋪但我好歹都係個客人啊！😡😡😡😡😡…查看更多

The Stable was located in 1881 Hullett House where just right behind the main building next to the garden. It was my first time to visit this restaurant in 1881 and it is not easy to find it to be honest. Restaurant was very small with a wooden wall, open kitchen and a small bar counter felt cozy and comfortable. We ordered a 24 months Spanish Iberico ham to start. The fat content is relatively high with rich taste, not bad! The main course we ordered a whole Boston Lobster and Rack of Lamb. Both were simply grilled perfectly. The live lobster still very freshly comes with garlic butter sauce. Rack of lamb we ordered medium cook was juicy and I can smell a touch of herbs on top of it. Good choice and portions was quite valuable to price. The service was attentive and friendly. They made many recommendations specially the steaks which I didn't order this time.
