While waiting, I approached the male receptionist to inquire whether the broth contained any shrimp, as I have a severe allergy that can lead to difficulty breathing. It was crucial for me to receive a clear answer.Unfortunately, the staff member seemed unsure and hesitant to provide a definitive response. I found this lack of professionalism and responsibility alarming. When we requested that he consult with the relevant staff or kitchen to confirm the ingredients, he appeared reluctant to do so. After emphasizing the importance of getting a clear answer, he finally agreed to check.As a Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong, I expected a higher standard of food safety awareness. In my experiences dining in Japan, staff are always knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish, especially considering that seafood, eggs, and dairy can trigger allergic reactions for many people. This situation reflects a serious oversight in your restaurant's approach to food safety.I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to your establishment.
