Have visited bookworm cafe four times over the past few months since moving to Lamma. Was blown away by the amazing chips we had on the first visit - thick cuts, crisp coating, piping hot and fluffy insides!!!!!! But unfortunately it was never again served that way the next few times we went. Just your average thick cut chips...no matter if the restaurant was busy or not.Food is generally ok. I would strongly recommend the cafe to please invest in a new coffee machine. The 2 coffees we paid almost 100$ for today was absolutely disgusting. It was literally the worst coffee we have ever had. Thoroughly sour and watery. Impossible to swallow. Ended up in the bin after 2 sips. If the staff had taken a look at the extraction surface it would have had a gaping hole it. Please improve.…查看更多

You would have seen in my previous review there were some very hangry comments. Of course these still stand however after several rounds of orders it became clear that most of the delay and missed communication happened in the kitchen rather than with the waiters. The tables around us eventually experienced long order delays as well and although the waiters kept apologising and rushing our orders, it seemed like the kitchen only had limited capacity. Perhaps opening day brought with it certain challenges, but as a franchise that has 6 shops in HK I would expect better from the kitchen. The food was reasonable, the bread was great, however quite a few mussels were not fresh and tasted so weird we had to spit them out.Please can the restaurant managers conduct a thorough review to the food, kitchen operations as well as the order-taking system especially under COVID table-sharing measures. It becomes very frustrating when every order from your neighbour is served to you and you have to look around in confusion every single time.Before these issues are sorted and reflected in reviews I don’t expect to be returning to dine anytime soon and would caution those who live near and expect a meal with normal serving times.…查看更多

Absolutely utter confusion in this restaurant. Waitress took our order, we waited 25 minutes under a freezing cold aircon, asked where our food was, and after another 10 minutes of confusion, they realised they forgot to process the order. We did not get served food until more than an hour after being seated, by which time half the restaurant had cleared out and our neighbor who sat down the same time as us was already finished. We asked for 2 glasses of hot water, the waitress tried to pour it into our already full cups of cold water. They tried taking away a plate with a fork and knife, and tried to serve us our neighbor’s order repeatedly.Absolutely ABYSMAL service for this price range. TRAIN YOUR STAFF FRITES. 週日下午在香港仔有活動，活動結束就想在promenade走一下然後順便吃晚餐。在地下通道看到廣告就直接上去了，當時比較早所以整個餐廳只有角落裡的兩個人，比较冷清，服务员特别热情友好介绍当日海鲜，就想隨便吃一點意思一下換一間再吃飽。結果沒想到上来的炭燒牛舌超好吃！！！然后剩下的菜上来也都味道很好，越坐进来的人越来越多，等吃完整个餐厅都坐满了且全都看上去是老客人，上来就点海鲜。于是开始写第二单下，点了55円6只的王蛏子（附近海鮮館的蟶子皇要50一隻，也沒有多多少肉），超值超新鲜，本来还想点多点海鲜可惜身上没带足现金吃完串烧就饱了。下次去香港仔一定要再去！！…查看更多

As titled. Got the Tartufo, that first bite omgosh. Panini bread toasted TO PERFECTION. Brie, rocket, truffle oil and ham blended SO WELL together. Super fast/very nice service, comfy dimlit chatty environment during evenings. Can't wait for lunch tmr XD…查看更多
