I ordered through foodpanda because they had great discounts, but due to a system glitch they screwed up my order so they didn't get my full order and i didn't get the discount.Nevertheless it was alright! The angus steak taco was delicious, mac and cheese was alright- the taste i expected. I ordered in advance (i placed order at 6pm, pick up at 7pm) but when i got my food, it was already very cold especially the mac and cheese (i leave 3 mins away from the restaurant). As someone of Japanese descent, the food here feels like comfort food. I was missing the food as I could not visit my Japanese family members this summer, so I decided to dine at this restaurant just to make me reminiscence. I ordered the beef teishoku and my friend ordered salmon sushi. Such affordable prices for the quality that you get. The 肉夹馍 tastes different to the one I tried in Xi’an, not as good. The noodles were tasty with a good kick of spices but the dumplings with it smelled funny and were an extra 20$. I’ve tasted dumplings cheaper and way better than the ones they serve. You have to press a button outside the building to go in, turn left and walk up the stairs to find this hidden gem. After waiting out in the heat for Samsen, my friend and i decided to check this place out and we are so glad we did. Authentic Thai food, friendly staff and such a cozy environment with the air con blasting (perfect for a hot summer day) and pillows to put behind you so you can relax.I ordered the pad thai, WHICH WAS BLOODY DELICIOUS! ONE OF THE BEST IVE HAD. My friend got the tom yum noodle. Unlike other thai places the coconut taste was not as strong, which i assume is the true authentic taste? Dont be intimidated by the local environment- this place is very very good! Accommodating for people who speak english, delicious food, deliver food fast, fairly good environment.If you want to be in a more quiet environment, get the table in the room opposite the main restaurant. They even have private booths where you sit down on a mat, this  is good for people of bigger parties. Must get dishes are the morning glory vegetable, laksa, tom yum soup, tom yum chicken with coconut milk, nasi lemak, but BEST ONE IS HAINAN CHICKEN RICE. lovely and adorable interior with beautiful lights, statues and bikes. They definitely put effort in it which i really really liked! seats were comfortable aswell. I highly recommend if you want good booth seats to come at 6pm, as afterwards it gets quite crowded. very nice and accommodating staff, but since the machine to put orders was right next to our table it became a chilling place for waiters. It was a bit uncomfortable as i felt our conversation was being heard.My friends and i ordered pad thai, tom yum noodle with soup for 2, coconut and chicken satay. All were very delicious. I have to say the portion for the pad thai is quite big, definitely can be shared between 2 people. The tom yum noodle for 2 people on the other hand can definitely be considered as a meal for one. It’s aromatic smell, appropriate level of spice and match with noodles was a 10/10. We got chicken skewers which were juicy and the sauce for it was divine. As someone who is half Japanese, i love going to this place. The chef and waitress are so incredibly nice. Although it is small, I always wait because i do think the food is worth it. The fried chicken is incredibly, a definite must-order side dish. Their ramen broth is so rich, and the various toppings makes you incredibly full, getting the bang for your buck. I've personally never tried the rice set dishes but i have heard they are equally tasty, maybe the portion a bit large for women. Don't understand the negative reviews others have made. You get a good portion for  reasonable price, unlike those ramen restaurants where you get a bowl of tonkotsu ramen with barely any toppings and a chili paste that changes the whole flavour for over 100+.…查看更多

When i got there, the menu i recieved was completely different to the one on openrice. No starters, reduced pasta options, no dessert. They only hadd a two course meal where u pay extra for snacks. They had a lobster set which was lobster bisque and lobster mac and cheese which i thought was quite extreme (wouldn’t your stomach feel heavy from all that lobster taste?).On other people’s reviews on openrice it said the prices were 108 for 2 courses and 128 for 3 courses, but when i went it was not like that. You basically pay the price for your main, which ranged from around 88-208, if i remember correctly.Nevertheless, the prices were still affordable. I ordered pepperoni pizza and my friend ordered capellini. There were significantly more pizza choices than pasta choices, which i felt could be a disadvantage as those who are craving pasta may feel disappointed. Ordering straight from the menu is an option as prices are not so expensive, but i feel like they should still implement more pasta options. The pumpkin soup and fruit punch that came with the set was good:The capellini portion was not that big, which heavily contrasted to my pizza. The pizza was delicious but the dough was very hard and chewy, it took a lot of effort to bite into it and swallow it. As i was eating my last few pieces the saltiness was off the charts, making it difficult for me to finish. Overall, it’s a good atmosphere with good staff, reasonable prices and delicious food, but i think in order for them to further expand and gain more profits they will need to improve the quality of their sets.…查看更多

They have cute dimsum dishes, which reminded me of YUM CHA in causeway bay. Despite this place being smaller and having less nice interior, they have 4-5 of those cute dimsum dishes at a much more affordable price. My friend has been here and YUM CHA, and she can confirm that the portions and taste are exactly the same. The vegetables portion are quite big, so keep that in mind when you order them. I had booked a reservation to go here. I was particularly excited as Ive always wanted to go and the reviews online made it seem like an attractive restaurant. However, i got slightly bummed from the minute i got there when they had told me they don't have my reservation on their paper, despite me calling the day before. They gave us a seat that was in the middle, despite i saw an elderly woman by themselves occupying a booth. They did apologize and we asked them if we could move if a booth is available, to which they complied,  but i got no explanation for why they didn't record my reservation.The appetizer and dessert bar were great, i got pretty full just from eating those. I ordered the main course with lobster and steak. The lobster had plenty of cheese stuffed in it, perhaps too much compared to the actual parts of the lobster. The wine that came with me was lukewarm and did not taste good. I shouldnt complain since it came for free, but still. There is a young female waitress, she is the only one who understands English. The steak.... oh my GOD THE STEAK WAS SO HARD! MY TEETH HURT FROM CHEWING IT. IT WAS NOT JUST MY STEAK BUT MY FRIENDS TOO! JUST BECAUSE WE SAID WELL DONE, IT DOES NOT MEAN WE WANT A SUPER HARD STEAK. For those who come here, perhaps stay away from the steak as you may get tired from all the energy used to cut and chew. My friend and I went for lunch, and we sat right away.Definitely do not recommend the outdoor seats in the hot summer, try to get a seat inside where it is cooler! The staff were friendly and the food was good. But I am slightly bummed out that the student 50% discount is not 50% but I believe now its 30%? but with 10% service charge, it became 20%. Not sure why they decided to do this, maybe they are struggling business-wise, but i think a big part of their appeal towards uni students was relative affordability. Disappointed about that…查看更多

The food and environment is great, lots of options to choose from both western and cantonese dishes. Service is good, at least 2 of the waiters understand english, the food looks appetizing. I've been there 3 times already and so compiled some list of improvements or weaknesses1) Their toast boxes are instagramable, however it would taste better if it were toasted. Also, they never put enough sauce with the rice.2) Their beef steak is quite oily. I think they used old oil so when I got home I felt very uncomfortable and gassy. In addition, they serve it with a large aamount of potato, which I feel they could reduce to ensure consumers can finish it.3) Their sichuan chicken noodle is more like taiwan sesame noodle, so I feel they should change the naming.…查看更多
