First, one of the waitresses wouldn't stop trying to upsell or recommend items even after she got so annoying that she was explicitly told to stop.  Really should have just walked out at that point. Second, I specifically asked for no garlic in my noodles.  The noodles arrived with garlic and when I pointed that out to the server, he said there was no garlic and then only realized there was a screw up when I pointed out the garlic to him.  He took the noodles away only to come back 30 seconds later saying that the garlic was part of the sauce.  Liars!Third, there was a strong scent of smoking in the restaurant, wasn't anyone in dining area, could have come from the kitchen.  Horrible dining experience, the restaurant has no respect for diners.  This place tops my list by of worst restaurants in 2024.  These guys managed to score a -5 out of 10, great job.…查看更多

Was told that these guys reopened, so a bunch of us picked up food there for dinner, turned out to be a grave mistake:(1) When we placed the order, the waiter had a hard time trying to take orders for whatever eight dishes or so.  This was really the time I should have insisted on walking away.(2) Then the cashier lady had to put the orders into the system, which she didn't know how to do that and my friend actually had to help her with it.  This was the second strong hint that we should have left.(3) The waiters had no idea how to handle take away and I had to remind them to poke a hole on the boxes with deep-fried stuff.(4) Wasabi beef cubes was made with English mustard???(5) Lo shui stuff was absolutely tasteless.(6) Oyster omelet was flooded with flour and barely any eggs/oysters.(7) Salty egg prawns were made with the tiniest shrimp I have ever seen for the same dish.(8) Portions were shockingly small.(9) The place looked filthy.(10) It took them 45 min to make eight simple dishes, for a place with next to no business.Consensus at the dinner was that the food was the worst Chiu Chow we've had for a very very long time and that this place should probably shut down within three months.  Even for a freshly reopened place, these mistakes were simply not forgivable.  This place was a disgrace to Chiu Chow food.…查看更多

The wait was something like 45 min.  Normally i wouldn't even have bothered to wait, but my friend wanted to try the place and the reviews had wonderful things to say about the chewy udon, so I was like let's give it a try.  It turned out to be a huge mistake.Ordered cold udon.  The udon, which was supposed to be chewy, was actually hard/stiff!  The line between chewy and hard/stiff isn't exactly blurry, I don't know how some of these reviewers could have got it so outrageously wrong.  The sauce for the udon was actually decent and was the only reason why it's getting a 1.5/10 instead of a 0/10 from me.  My friend who ordered udon with seaweeds had similar comments about her udon.…查看更多

Went there for lunch today with my buddy.Friend's lunch set: Pork chop with eggsThe fried pork chop looked SOGGY!  The eggs were grayish...  Mine: Eel w/ eggsThe eggs, goes without saying, were grayish.  More importantly, it tasted weird/horrible...  It tasted like cough syrup/Cherry Coke.  I can almost hear the eel crying!I don't know what wrong with these guys, but simply put, the food was disgusting.  Also, I can't find their name in FEHD's registry...  Is this place licensed?…查看更多

Old school place, meant to try it since a while ago.  Finally got around to it this morning and went there for breakfast.  Decor was from the 1980s (or 1970s?) but the place wasn't exactly very clean.Food was extremely disappoint and nothing like what the other reviews described.  The breakfast set came with eggs, but the eggs were super greasy, seems like a rookie error to me.  The "steak" was bad and tasted like beef jerky!  The noodles from the set were soggy and clearly cooked for too long.  Last but not least, the Ovaltine was tasteless.  Failed on really basic stuff for a Hongkie restaurant.  Not again.…查看更多

This place used to be decent for chicken rice, but I was very disappointed with my visit today.(1) The chicken was way too greasy, the rice passed the test though.(2) The food was probably loaded with far too much MSG -- I was very thirsty after the meal.(3) The waiting staff were standing around and talking extremely loud, to the extent that it was very annoying...Think this chain is off my list going forward.…查看更多

Went there for the first time.  The coffee was surprisingly ok, at least for Hong Kong.  I guess the expectation for coffee in Hong Kong is pretty low.However, the whole experience had been extremely annoying.  They had a crew shooting some video there, with bright lights, moving things around, and talking out loud to the extent that a number of customers, myself included, were visibly super annoyed and chose to leave quickly.  While I appreciate the fact that they might be trying to shoot some silly videos to promote the place, they would also be mindful not to annoy (paying) customers.…查看更多

Went there for a coffee because Knockbox was packed and so was the new place around the corner of Knockbox.  I had a cappuccino and my friend ordered a green tea latte.  My coffee was essentially milk diluted with water and my friend's green tea latte wasn't too much better.  DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE FOR COFFEE, THIS IS THE WORST COFFEE I'VE EVER HAD.  Not entirely sure why they put the word "coffee" in the name when the coffee is so bad.…查看更多

Both my friend and I ordered pho (and they screwed up on my order).  The soup tasted odd.  The texture of the beef was weird and the taste was off.  The spring rolls were super greasy but tasted ok.  The food was cheap but far from decent and the portions were small, even taking into account the price.  Additionally, the seats were tight and the waitress was rude.  Not sure if this place would last, there are far better options out there in Tsuen Wan.…查看更多

Stop trying to pretend to be an American restaurant! The waiting staff (two of them) didn't even know what "medium rare" was when we ordered a Tomahawk and the waiting staff kept saying "is it ?" This is a joke.After the food arrived, my friend asked for horseradish. The first waiter didn't know what it was (he didn't seem to speak English at all). He sent another waitress to ask what we wanted and the waitress didn't know what it was either. The third dude, presumably a more senior waiter, came and asked again. He went away and came back with "Sorry, we are out of it" after five minutes.The senior waiter smoked during work--he had that disgusting cigarette smell on him.These guys have a lot to fix if they want to pretend to be an American restaurant. …查看更多

Beef brisket was dry and stiff, almost like beef jerky.  Soup was spicy, not exactly sure why.  My friend said his curry was "weak." Complained to the boss on the way out, and he had the audacity to say "don't order it next time..."…查看更多

The food was horrible, this gotta be the worst dim sum I've had in 20+ years...蝦餃 and 燒賣: absolutely tasteless, have prices of condiments gone up by that much that the chef can't use them?春捲: why on earth was there celery in there?!炸雲吞: there was a thick layer of oil on the skin, clearly the oil they used for deep frying wasn't hot enough!牛肉賣/鯪魚賣: absolutely tasteless save for excessive Chinese parsley...粉粿: the skin was far too thick...炸兩: the soy sauce was FAR too salty--did the chef add salt into the soy sauce?麻蓉飽: the skin was far too sweet but the filling (麻蓉) was tasteless and there was too little filling anyways...To cut the long story short, the bad food from this place gives dim sum a bad name and is a disgrace to dim sum--the chef should be banned from the business for good.…查看更多

Have been there a couple of times before and the food was decent.  Tried to go there for dinner with a friend yesterday evening and was extremely disappointed.  When we go there, there were two other groups in line, so we were the third group in line.  After waiting for ~25 min or so, people in the restaurant started leaving and two people just showed up jumping into the queue.  The manager, who clearly wasn't doing a very good job, gave the seats to the two people jumping into the queue seats and my friend and I were denied entry.  We complained to the manager, who made a phony apology and told us to wait for longer.  Obviously we left and I would never give this restaurant another chance.  If these guys want to stay in business, they need to get their act together and treat their customers with a bit more respect.…查看更多

Ordered the dinner set for four.  Most of the food was OKish, nothing to write home about though.  The only problems with the food were (1) the satay sauce tasted weird;(2) the "dessert of the day" had durian in it and the didn't bother to inform us before we ordered--most people in Hong Kong don't eat durian to begin with...The problem is actually with the service.  We got there around 9pm and the place was quite full.  We ordered by 9:10pm and the food started to arrive by 9:20pm.  That was roughly the same time when a waitress started to clean the couple of empty tables next to ours with a pungent disinfectant.  By 9:30pm or so, another waitress tried to take away the tray of used chopsticks on our table, asking "you guys don't need this, right?", to which I responded "are you in a rush to close up or what?"  She looked fairly embarrassed and said "no, not really".   Frankly, if the restaurant is in a rush to close, they shouldn't have taken our orders at 9:10pm and this is not the way to treat customers!  Never again!…查看更多

Ordered 油雞飯 but the 油雞 was COLD!  Complained to the waitress and she had the audacity to tell me "燒味大部份都係凍嘅" I was like "What's wrong with you?" Then another waitress and the chef behind the counter came and said "Sorry, microwave was out, couldn't reheat your food..." I told them "Then you shouldn't have been selling anything at all! Had I known earlier, I would have gone somewhere else!"
