Was recommended this little Thai place some time ago and decided to give it a try. It was a small family run place by a Thai family. The place is a bit old fits somewhat a hole in the wall description. A very nice little lady helping in the front speaks Thai, Cantonese and Mandarin. Food was great and authentic. My colleague recommended this place where I couldn’t even find it on the map of this app. After some digging in google map, I’ve located this place. When I first walked in, I had some reservations as it looked a bit scary. Only two people were eating at a small foldable table right outside so decided to do takeaway. Ordered a whole bunch of ingredients as this type of food is cheap. Got home and started to dig in. To my surprise, the food was good better than another 車仔麵place I had in Taipa. A local cha chiang tang Hei Lin is considered one of the best in town. This place is not far behind. The food is actually pretty good here and pricing is cheaper. The taste is consistent and the ladies are pretty nice. Good place for something quick and decent. …查看更多

I was lucky to be treated to a nice birthday dinner here. Service was good as expected given the profile and positioning of the restaurant. We’ve ordered the larger set menu (only two choices) and couldn’t believe it took more than 2 hours to finish. Most of the food presented were yummy especially the soup. Been told this place is worth the try and was fortunate enough to be taken to this place to celebrate my birthday. Service didn’t match the positioning as it was difficult to get the attention of the staff when needed. Food was okay but not too exceptional as expected. I was excited when I found out there is a good option for American food. Boy was I disappointed. Although the menu there offers a decent amount of American food, the food there is mediocre. I do like instant noodles but the toppings here can take the noodles to a different level. The garlic diced pork and pork neck are just so tasty. I was quite impressed with the quality of the food and the amount of choices when I’ve first tried their brunch. The seafood was fresh, large amount of meat selection and the free flow of bubbles(champagne) were great. Normally the dessert section at most of the brunch or buffet places are so so but this place had a great variety of desserts and the quality was wonderful. Great place for a bite after a nice hike. Came here for the outdoor seating and memories of my father. My father took me here when I was very young. I remember the Hainan Chicken Rice songs to order it. Service was okay but the staff are too busy running around giving guests the uneasy feelings. I’ve been hearing and seeing some social media about the hype of his standing Japanese BBQ place also been persuaded to try. Went there early to avoid a long wait. Ordered different types of meats to try different things. Overall taste is “normal” but not exceptional. This place’s pitch is that the meat is inexpensive and affordable. Indeed the meat is affordable but it is certainly not “cheaper” than sitting restaurants. I could get better quality meat at the same price point elsewhere. Decided to spend my 40th birthday dinner here as I know the food at Robuchon never disappoint. The server seemed a bit new but he did his best. The bread basket is always one of my favors and must get both types of butter to go with the bread. The wine glasses used were top quality which makes drinking wine at other places difficult to enjoy. I don’t remember the portions were big but the items we’ve ordered were much larger than expected.
