needed a pre-dinner dessert and coffee.Ordered a cap and a "bitter chocolate brownie". Cap: basic and good enough latte art (heart). Personally I don't pay too much attention to these fancy-schmancy stuff. First sip--froth was smooth and had good structure. The coffee, however, was a bit underwhemling. The taste was flat, with just a slight bitterness and no caramel note or good aftertaste. I wouldn't pay $36 dollars for it again if given another chance. A industrial latte from Big M probably tastes just as "good" for half the price.The "brownie"--Fancy chocolate "blanket" on top that took some work to dig through without making a mess on the table tasted somewhat sweet with no hint of bitterness I would expect from nice dark chocolate. When the "cloud" finally dissipated, I began to wonder if this dessert was mislabeled as it looks more like a chocolate mousse dome with a thin later of cake underneath. At least this is not the American brownie I am used to. Taste alright, not overly sweet with a little bit of textural contrast but again, where in the world is the nice bitterness?As for the decor, it's bright and minimalistic.. Not the warm, subdued and cozy feel the big chains offer. Service felt a little slow, but the girl did apologize. I am alright with it.
