The lunchtime menu seemed decent enough, so we two were seated (at the table nearest the door, but still a good 10m into the restaurant). Ordered two set lunches at around $60, which seemed reasonable enough, since it included a starter salad, drink, and mousse dessert. While the menu looked appealing, and the seats and decorations seemed stylish, we slowly realised that we would not be able to have a decent conversation over the din of the noisy crowd. To make it worse, THE STAFF HAD NO QUALMS ABOUT PLAYING AND SHOUTING AMONGST EACH OTHER!!! This happened THREE times during our lunch there; one time, the waitress was laughing so hard, she turned and slammed right into a customer who had just arrived!
When the bill was presented, I gave her my credit card. "Only for $150 and above" she retorted. Are there no manners trained in this restaurant? Is it so hard to add a "sorry" to the beginning? Granted, there were a couple of waiters who did try their best, but all the waitresses and even the one who seemed to be the manager on duty treated the restaurant as their playground. Unacceptable indeed!
With so many other dining choices in Megabox (among them the wonderful variety of Ikea just one floor below), you can be sure that this Jumbo ain't going anywhere near Dumbo again!
