I came here at 2:30pm for lunch and I was planning on getting the XO sauce char siu scrambled egg with rice (L4 on the menu) and the mini French toast with peanut better paste (H27) but I’m glad I only got the rice cuz it was so filling. The XO sauce char siu omelette rice was $56HKD with a hot drink and it was huge 😮 It was basically a mountain of rice topped with a char siu omelette, garnished with XO sauce bits. The omelette was a bit runny, cooked in the way I like it, and it had big chunks of char siu in it. The XO sauce wasn’t distributed evenly (as you can see in the picture 😅). It collected in a pool at the edge of the omelette and so some spoonfuls of rice had a strong XO sauce flavor while other bites had little or none. I mixed up the dish a little more to spread the sauce around, but that didn’t really help 😅. The dish was a little bit spicy cuz of the XO sauce and they added some chili bits in it. It was hard eating the char siu since it was so big, so I ended up ripping it up into smaller pieces. There was also a lot of fat on the meat, so I removed that too. The char siu was a little dry though. Altogether, the dish was pretty good and extremely filling. Guess I’ll have to come back next time to try the French toast 😂
